There May Be a Prime Temperature for Sleeping

While a lot of research agrees that the best indoor temperature for most people is from 60 to 80 degrees, many people try to balance what they prefer with what they see in the electric bill. For some years, it has been suggested that maintaining a temperature of 78 degrees in the summer and 68 in the winter. This was intended to maximize savings opportunities while still providing some amount of comfort. For some, it works fine. For others, it may be good but not quite enough for what they need. It may be a delicate balance, but temperature may make a big difference.
Sleeping in the Right Temperature Could Be Best
Some who have studied sleep and temps have come to the conclusion that the optimal range for sleeping well is 65 to 72 degrees. This may keep it cool enough to still need those covers that many feel helps them to sleep. Apparently temps that are too warm may disrupt the sleep cycle for some and cause them some real difficulties. Many people have had the experience of sleeping very well in cold weather, and this may be along the same line.
Losing Weight Can Be a Battle Anytime
Those who endeavor to try to lose weight may be well indoctrinated with the challenges it can present. While some may have an easy time, those who struggle likely deal with multiple issues. There is considered to be a prime temperature range for this as well. It is strangely specific. The best range for this is believed to be from 64 to 67 degrees. For those who have a tough time, this may be a worthwhile part of planning. For those who are really ambitious, it has been said that those who shiver may rev up their metabolism to the extent that it is able to burn calories at as much as five times the normal rate. That is impressive.
Where Do I Fit In?
We all may wonder exactly what all of this means for us. I am one of those who can benefit from cooler temps for sleeping. I always turn down the thermostat before I go to bed each night. It seems to help me. I have had trouble sleeping in the past, and this has been a good way for me to deal with it more effectively.
