Eat, Drink, and Add Garlic for Your Health

By Tom Herrin

No doubt most people have figured out that not every way of fixing any kind of health problem is easy.  Many problems are far more complex than a few alterations can repair. On the other hand, there are those few things that may have a major impact on health without being elaborate or drawn out.  Adding garlic to a diet has long been used by people all over the world to improve health -- as well as improve the flavor of some foods. For an herb, it packs a pretty good punch and seems to have the ability to deliver better health in a big way.

It May Improve Immunity

More and more people are searching for ways to beef up their immune systems.  Garlic seems to be capable of helping to do this in several ways, and it is not because it scares the diseases away with the smell.  It appears to actually be able to kill some bacteria. It has some antifungal and antiviral properties that are effective; it contains allicin, which apparently has a pretty powerful impact on these things.

It May Help Protect Against Neurological Problems

The incidence of neurological issues in people seems to be increasing all of the time.  Whether it is due to people living longer or simply more awareness of these things, it may be hard to say.  The fact is they are very common. Garlic possesses some elements that seem to minimize some of the inflammation that is associated with these illnesses.  It also increases the antioxidants that are produced by the liver to help in this area. For anyone with concerns about these things that deal with dementia, or mental functions, it is easy enough to use for anyone willing to try.

It May Reduce Yeast Infections

For many women, yeast infections are a problem.  Particularly for those who are diabetic with poor control of their glucose, garlic appears to help to reduce yeast infections.  Because this herb can also make a pretty good addition to many food dishes, it is a good and cheap thing to try. We use it in all kinds of foods.  You don’t have to overdo it, simply use it consistently. Watch for the results yourself for a few months. You may be pleasantly surprised at the small changes you see.  For some people, it is major changes.
