Dr. Ramesh Sanghani became a part of The Joint Chiropractic network in 2017 when he joined the local team at the Las Colinas clinic in Irving. Dr. Sanghani is a 1994 graduate of Old Dominion, where he received his bachelor of science degree in biology, and Parker College, where he received his doctorate.
“The thing I appreciate most about being in the chiropractic field is healing patients with a human touch,” Dr. Sanghani says. “It is wonderful to make a difference in the lives of others when medicine fails.”
Dr. Sanghani enjoys spending time with wife Kanan and their two children, and watching Bollywood movies.
A product of a family with other doctors, he says he was driven to contribute in his own way. “Having too many medical doctors in the family, I wanted to do something unique -- chiropractic,” Dr. Sanghani says.
Dr. Sanghani says the “appealing work environment” is the thing he enjoys most about working at the Las Colinas clinic.
In Case You Didn’t Know …
Dr. Sanghani says the one thing he must have in his fridge is actually on a magnet on the fridge door. “I have a to-do list,” he says. “If I don’t, things will not get done.”
The thing in his life that Dr. Sanghani is most proud of is the decision he made when he was a young man. “I believe the coolest thing I have ever done is to become the first chiropractor in my family, where there are many medical doctors,” he says. “I get to be unique and show off.”
Dr. Nicole was born in Arkansas and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. She attended Baylor University, where she graduated with a BS in Biology in 2014. Her experience shadowing several different medical professionals throughout her education lead her to pursue Chiropractic. In 2018 Dr. Nicole graduated from Parker University with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Nicole began working in Richardson with an auto accident clinic in 2019, but took a break and joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2021. She enjoys brightening people's days by helping them move without pain.
She most often goes by Dr. Ruth since there are so many Davis’ out there and it can get a little confusing. She joined The Joint in 2021 and has worked at several of our locations across DFW. While she works at multiple clinics, majority of the time you can find her at the Coppell clinic, where she has been serving the Coppell community since February.
“I absolutely enjoy working at the Coppell clinic! Here at the Coppell clinic, I am able to foster a welcoming environment and build connections with the patients. It’s so encouraging to see their eyes light up after getting treated and being that positive light in their health journey.” – Dr. Ruth
Prior to life in Dallas, Dr. Ruth grew up in south Texas. While living in San Antonio, she was always involved with athletics, which ultimately led to her discovery of chiropractic care. This allowed her to continue competitive sports throughout grade school and into college, recreationally. In 2016, Dr. Ruth graduated from Howard Payne University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and health sciences. Following graduation, she spent time working at a local chiropractic clinic when she wasn’t tending to her athletes. While there she found her passion for chiropractic and decided to pursue that next. Fast forward a few years. In 2020, Dr. Ruth graduated from Parker University with her Master of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. Since graduation, she has worked in the DFW area.
Best things about working in chiropractic: “I love having the opportunity to witness miracles happen every day. Not only do I get to see miracles, but I’m also able to have a lasting positive impact on the lives that cross my path, whether patients or other colleagues in the profession.”
In her spare time, she enjoys being active outdoors including hiking, kayaking, running, playing soccer, and yoga. She also enjoys spending quality time with friends & family as well as playing with her pup, Apollo.
Dr. Ruth’s dog is her favorite workout partner. He’s a Samoyed/Husky mix and looks like a big fluffy polar bear.
One must have in her fridge is water! “I’m always on-the-go so I like to have water on deck to stay hydrated and fuel my days between work, working out and all the adventures in between. Can’t go without it!”
Four “famous” people she’d want to have dinner with: Zendaya, Simone Biles, Billie Eilish, Alex Morgan. While all of these women come from different backgrounds and professions, they’re all successful in their arenas. Each of them has positively impacted our culture, inspiring others to think “outside the box” and constantly challenge societal norms. They remain grounded with down to earth personalities, so I would love the chance to hang out, “pick their brains” a bit, and learn from them.
Coolest thing I’ve ever done: “I love adventures and thrill seeking, but I have to say, skydiving & cliff jumping are by far the most exciting. As crazy as it may be, it provides you with a different appreciation for life. It’s super cool to enjoy the beauty of nature from that perspective.”
Dr. Mariam McLeod was born and raised in Gastonia, NC. She received a full athletic scholarship to play basketball at Elon University and graduated with a BS in Exercise Sports Science with a minor in Health Education. While at Elon, she also joined the track team for its inaugural season and was the 1st recipient of All Conference Honors for Women’s Track and Field in the shot put.
Observing different health care professionals throughout her time in college led her to pursue Chiropractic. During a chiropractic internship, the chiropractor helped her decrease and prevent future injuries. From then on she was hooked. Not only did chiropractic help improve her sport performance; she also noticed a decrease in headaches, medicine usage and improvement in overall health. Dr. Mariam graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a BS in Human Biology.
Before joining The Joint Chiropractic in 2022, Dr. Mariam owned and operator her own clinic in Lewisville TX, with her sister Sharon in 2008. “Helping her patients function at their highest level is extremely rewarding! Seeing the joy on a patient’s face when they reach their health goals, never gets old!” Dr. Mariam says.
Dr. Mariam loves to spend time with her family and friends and is a certified foodie! To her surprise, she has been the primary chef in my family. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities.
Fun Facts: • In high school, Dr. Mariam won two state championships in the discus throw. • She climbed the Manitou Incline in Colorado Springs, CO. • If she were not a chiropractor, she would be a professional dissectologist (a person who enjoys jigsaw puzzle assembly.)
Hello! My name is Jessica Mikhail and I am an Associate Chiropractor at The Joint! I’d like my patients to call me Dr. Jess. I joined The Joint in 2022 and I’m currently at the Flower Mound clinic and Las Colinas clinics. I started on May 1st, 2022. I graduated from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology, and then graduated from Parker University in 2022 with my Doctorate in Chiropractic and my Masters in Functional Nutrition. I was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and moved to Flower Mound, Texas when I was a year old. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking around Grapevine Lake with my chocolate lab named Cleo, and trying new coffee shops around town.
The best thing about the chiropractic profession is that you can help people’s bodies naturally heal from the inside-out just by adjusting subluxations and allowing the nerves and vessels throughout the body to flow without any interference and to work as one unit. I previously went to Haiti on a chiropractic mission trip and fell even more in love with the profession when the local villagers came running to the chiropractic tables and called us the “healing hands”. I knew chiropractic was the profession for me when my parents got in a terrible car wreck with a drunk driver a few years ago and the only thing that could help permanently relieve their pain was chiropractic care. I’ve seen this profession work miracles for babies all the way up to the elderly and I fall more in love with the profession each day I practice.
My name is Elizabeth Conti, D.C. My patients can call me Dr. Conti. I joined The Joint in Addison/Las Colinas in 2022. I graduated from Baylor University in 2014 with a degree in marketing. I graduated from Parker in 2022 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. I grew up in Fort Worth, TX. I have played sports all of my life. I used to play basketball, volleyball and tennis. In my spare time I enjoy working out, playing tennis and playing video games. The one thing in my fridge I must have is coffee because I love caffeine and drink coffee every morning. The four “famous” people living or dead I would have at my perfect dinner party are Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriquez because I’m a huge fan of the fast and the furious movies. The coolest thing I’ve ever done is gone skydiving in Switzerland, I got to jump out of the plane and see the Swiss Alps.
The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is being able to help people. The second best thing about being in the chiropractic field is being able to teach others more about chiropractic. I knew chiropractic was my calling after I had gotten into a car accident. After my car accident I was given pain medicine that only helped temporarily. It took me a bit to go to a chiropractor because I did not really know much about them, but after my first adjustment, I felt pain relief. After that I was able to go to the movies, work out and work without pain. After my own experience with chiropractic, I wanted to be able to help others and be able to share the benefits of chiropractic care. I like seeing a variety of patients at the location in Addison and being able to work alongside Dr. Guernsey and learning from him.
