Eat a Breakfast Full of Protein
You know that breakfast is the most vital meal of the day. It sets your metabolism up for the whole day! But in the rush of the mornings, it can be tough to get a good breakfast in that is comprised of more than a cup of coffee.
You should be eating a breakfast full of protein each day. Protein can help you to feel satisfied for longer and help you make it to lunch without being grumpy and hungry. So try stocking up on protein-rich foods in your kitchen that can help you to have a better breakfast. Think Greek yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and peanut butter whole grain toast. It doesn't have to be difficult!
Don't Eat After Dinner
Eating after dinner won't necessarily derail your healthy eating goals, but mindless snacking will. When you get bored or tired after dinner, you may snack even when you're not really hungry. Fight back against after-dinner snacking by making your kitchen a no-graze zone after dinner by shutting it down and turning off the lights. It doesn't exist in the evenings except to fill up your water glass!
Eat More Fiber
Eating meals high in fiber helps to increase satiety and help you feel fuller for longer. It also helps to keep your digestive system healthy and strumming along.
To help make fiber a priority in your life, make sure to read food labels when you shop. Find foods with three grams of fiber or more per serving and focus on whole grains, legumes, and beans in your meals. You may want to make a bowl of oatmeal your go-to breakfast too.
