Dr. Mike Knott has earned a B.S. in Anatomy, B.S.in Health and Wellness, Doctor of Chiropractic. He graduated from Parker University in 2008. His postgraduate studies include a designation from the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 2011, and a Designated Doctor for Texas Department of Insurance Worker’s Comp Division. He also worked as a team doctor for Semi Pro Football teams for 3 years.
Dr. Knott believes that the best thing about chiropractic work is helping feel better and was drawn to chiropractic care by his own experiences with chiropractic. “My wife worked for a Chiropractor and would come home telling the most amazing stories about people practically crawling in and walking out. I went to see about my headaches and chronic neck pain. Little did I know, the trauma from high school football was what caused my headaches and neck pain. After a few weeks, the headaches were gone and my habit of cracking my own neck every 20 minutes ended.”- Dr. Knott The thing that he loves about working for the Joint is that it is close to home. “I love serving the community and people of Round Rock.” -Dr. Knott
When Dr. Knott is not being an awesome chiropractor, he is usually spending time with his 3 sons, wife Pamela, and lab/shepard mix, Comet. The one thing he must keep in his fridge is limeade, his favorite drink. Dr. Knott says the coolest thing he has ever done was treating and hanging out backstage with Kenny Chesney and his crew.
Dr. Thuy Le studied at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry in 2003, but a car accident her senior year of undergrad would change the course of her career. After the accident, she began receiving chiropractic care for her injuries. “My family chiropractor adjusted me back to health and made a huge influence in my career path.” -Dr. Le She began studying chiropractic at Parker College of Chiropractic and received her degree in 2009. Her favorite thing about chiropractic care is see how she is changing people’s way of life.
Dr. Le joined the Joint family in 2010 and has settled in at our Round Rock location. The things that she likes the best about our company are the people she works for and with. “I have the best bosses in the world, no lie; [the doctors here] have helped me so much in my professional and personal life! They are great mentors!” - Dr. Le
In Dr. Le’s spare time, she is usually spending it with her husband, Tom, and their 2 children. She loves to watch dramas, go shopping, and photography. She really enjoys cooking and trying new foods. In fact, her perfect dinner party would be full of chefs like Iron Chef Morimoto, Gordon Ramsay, Bobby Flay, and Wolfgang Puck. Not only would it be full of delicious food, but it would be a great opportunity for some awesome cooking tips.
Dr. Le says the coolest thing she has ever done was zip lining in Vancouver. “I’m scared of heights, but I faced my fears and got through it. Will I do it again? No way!” -Dr. Le
Dr. Constance Smith is a proud graduate of the University of North Texas. After completing her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, she started working as a Chiropractic Assistant. Seeing all types of patients walk in with pain and leave with relief was the spark that started her love for chiropractic. After briefly practicing in Highland Village, Tx her and her fiancé, Dr. Austin Meindertsma, D.C. moved to the Austin area in 2019 where they joined The Joint family. Her favorite thing so far is working with Dr. Le and her WC because they make the days fun.
Dr. Smith enjoys being outside, writing poetry and playing pinball. She also enjoys playing with her English Bull Dog, Beef Wellington and her Red Eared Slider Scarlett Persephonnie Jeankinns. The best thing in life is being with family and helping people discover the power they hold within their body.
If Dr. Smith could throw the perfect dinner party, it would include Sam Cooke because his music raised her, Vincent Van Gough because she wants him to know how amazing he really was, Robin Williams because his brain intrigued her and Harriet Tubman because her strength is admirable. When asked what the coolest thing she had ever done, she said “it’s between snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and indoor skydiving. I was completely terrified during both. Although, I never thought I’d ever swim with dolphins and reef sharks, I wasn’t with anyone special when I did that. When I went indoor skydiving, I was with one of two best friends.”
