Don't Let Pain Get the Best of You

I think it's fair to say that we have all come into contact with a difficult person at some point or another in our lives. Whether it's a stranger, a coworker, or someone in your family, those moments can certainly become very unpleasant, can't they? I know that I have walked away from situations with difficult people and have immediately told my daughters, "Don't ever let me become like that." Maybe you have even said something along those lines as well, but honestly, don't we all have bad days when we are a little grumpier than usual? And how does pain tie into it our moods?

I've seen it happen far too many times. A person who was once on top of the world, who appeared to be a master at happiness, and who had a smile for everyone, turn into something completely opposite on those really bad days.
