Dr. LaResa Reed became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2020 when she began serving residents in the Jacksonville area, where she continues doing the work she enjoys so much.
“The thing I like most about being a chiropractor is the ability to give patients an alternative approach to healthcare,” she says. “It’s rewarding to be able to provide quality time with patients and work alongside them as they accomplish their health goals.”
Her patients call her LaResa, and she grew up in Jacksonville, so it’s especially rewarding to be working in her hometown. In her spare time she enjoys listening to jazz, playing the clarinet, and writing quotes.
“I knew chiropractic was my calling when I saw the opioid epidemic,” she says. “I wanted to give my patients an alternative. I desperately wanted to be part of the solution and not the problem.”
She attended Bethune Cookman in Daytona Beach -- where she got a bachelor’s degree in biology -- before returning to school to get her doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange.
LaResa loves working at The Joint’s St. John’s Town Center clinic. “It’s convenient and has a fast-paced atmosphere,” she says. “I love the ability to give patients quality care while respecting their time.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
The one thing LaResa always has in her refrigerator is grape cranberry juice: “Nothing is more refreshing.”
If she could bring together any four people from history, she would soak up the knowledge. “I would love to listen to the teachings of Christ around the table, jam to the musical sounds of Ella Fitzgerald, have a poetry session by Maya Angelou,” LaResa says. “And I would enjoy the laughter provided by Richard Pryor.”
The coolest thing she has ever done, she says was “go back to school after a 10-year hiatus to pursue my doctorate of chiropractic. It was cool because it inspired others to chase their dreams despite the odds.”
Dr. Kelvin Bolar joined the family of healthcare providers at The Joint Chiropractic in 2019. A graduate of Central Michigan University, he earned a bachelor's degree in health fitness and rehabilitative methods with a minor in exercise science. He received his doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Kelvin, as his patients call him, is excited to be part of the team of local chiropractors serving Jacksonville.
"One of the best aspects involved with being in the field of chiropractic is the ability to offer an individual pain relief, allowing them to get back to the activities that they enjoy without the use of medication," he says. "The other thing that's gratifying is the opportunity to meet so many people from various backgrounds."
When he's not working, Dr. Kelvin likes going to the movies and building remote control cars with his son. Dr. Kelvin and his spouse share three beautiful dogs Jordan, Zane, and Tank.
He has a passion for chiropractic because there's such a direct connection with the patient. "When I learned of the chiropractic profession and how chiropractors literally take a hands-on approach to naturally help improve the lives of patients, I knew it was something that I had to be part of," he says.
He really appreciates the value of The Joint Chiropractic's services and the extraordinary availability it provides: "The Joint makes chiropractic care affordable and easily accessible to patients, helping to rid them of the hurdle of sticking to appointment times." So as far as Dr. Kelvin is concerned, drop in anytime!
In Case You Didn't Know
Dr. Kelvin says the one thing he always has stocked in his refrigerator is milk, and the reason is pretty obvious, "I don't like dry Frosted Flakes."
If he sat down with any four people from history to create a dinner party of his dreams he would include media mogul Oprah Winfrey, Disney CEO Robert Iger, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. "I would like to have a dinner party with these individuals due to their public reach and employee base," he says. “I would discuss the benefits of chiropractic care in relation to employee productivity and decreased time off due to musculoskeletal issues. My aim would be to get each of these individuals to offer chiropractic care for all of their employees with The Joint Chiropractic as a national partner provider."
Although he may not be very adventurous with his cereal, that's not necessarily the case out in the world. "The coolest thing I have ever done is hike to the top of Mt. Quandary in Colorado," he says. "With an elevation of 14,265 feet, this is the highest that I have ever hiked. If I were to ever do it again, the only thing that I would change would be the time of year: hiking to 14,000 feet in the middle of winter is terribly cold!"
Dr. Eric Stepnowski, D.C., joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2024 and began serving the Jacksonville community in December of that year. Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Stepnowski earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Developmental Biology from Penn State in 2020. His passion for helping others led him to Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, where he completed his chiropractic education and discovered his calling while working as a student intern with the Bethune-Cookman athletic program.
For Dr. Stepnowski, the best part of being in the chiropractic field is “the crack”—a straightforward answer that reflects his appreciation for helping patients feel immediate relief. He also finds it rewarding to be the chiropractor delivering care that makes such a difference. Before coming to Jacksonville, Dr. Stepnowski practiced in Yulee, FL, and he’s excited to continue bringing his expertise and approachable style to patients at The Joint Chiropractic.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Stepnowski enjoys making people smile and finding joy in life’s little moments. While he doesn’t currently have pets, he once fostered a kitten named Beeper, a memorable experience that speaks to his compassionate side. His must-have fridge item is guacamole, because, as he says, “It’s extra for a reason.”
One of Dr. Stepnowski’s coolest experiences was attending a Penn State Whiteout game—an unforgettable event he believes you simply “had to be there” to fully appreciate. If he could host the perfect dinner party, his table would include Adam Richman, LeBron James, Druski, and Jesus—a unique lineup he’s sure would bring great energy and unforgettable conversation.
Dr. Stepnowski sums up his experience at The Joint best: “Look around—can it get any better than this?” With his mix of humor, energy, and dedication to quality care, Dr. Stepnowski is ready to help his patients feel their best and experience the benefits of routine chiropractic care.
Dr. Andrew Hill, known as Dr. Drew by his patients, joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2025. Dr. Drew graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree as well as a Bachelor of Health Coaching.
Dr. Drew’s decision to pursue a career in chiropractic care was influenced by a personal experience. After sustaining a football injury, what should have been a season-ending setback turned into a quick recovery, thanks to chiropractic care. This experience ignited his passion for chiropractic care, inspiring him to dedicate his career to helping others experience healing and improved wellness.
A native of Southern Delaware, Dr. Drew practiced in Barrington, New Hampshire, before moving to Florida. His professional approach is focused on not only addressing pain but fostering overall health and wellness. He values the opportunity to work with patients from a wide range of backgrounds, many of whom are new to chiropractic care and benefit from its long-term advantages.
In his free time, Dr. Drew enjoys visiting the beach, traveling, and exploring new culinary experiences. He and his high school sweetheart, Makayla, share their lives with their beloved bull mastiff. Dr. Drew is an advocate of simple pleasures, and his go-to kitchen staple is maple syrup—because, as he says, “It makes everything better.”
Dr. Drew is also excited to be in the process of becoming a published author within his first year of practice, marking a significant achievement early in his career. He remains committed to advancing the field of chiropractic care, and he is passionate about contributing to the growth and innovation of holistic health practices.
Dr. Drew would consider a dinner party with historical figures such as Jesus, Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, and Nikola Tesla to be an extraordinary opportunity to engage in insightful conversations that would span across history, leadership, and innovation.
