Meet The Doctors

Dr. Blake Squire joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2017 when he became part of the team at the St. Petersburg clinic, where he does the rewarding work of helping people as their local healthcare provider and serves as clinic director.

“The best thing is being a part of finding solutions for our patients,” he says. “Helping them realize that pain is, more often than not, a product of improper function in the body and empowering them to take control of that is a huge part of my job satisfaction. It’s a great feeling to have the knowledge and skill to provide wellness care to my family, friends, and community. I enjoy watching people walk away with a smile on their face as they go about their day

Originally from the Tampa Bay area, Dr. Blake, as his patients call him, remained in Florida for his education. “What shaped me into who I am today are the ones who raised me,” he says. “My mom and dad and grandparents gave me the confidence to pursue a higher education and find a field that was helpful to others.”

Dr. Blake and his wife, Corina, have one daughter. “She is the most wonderful, caring wife and mother to our beautiful baby girl,” he says. “She is very creative and is able to express herself through social media platforms and event planning. I’m blessed to have her by my side and would not be where I am today without her

They have an 80-pound goldendoodle named Theodore, who they call Teddy. “He is very sweet and thinks he is friends with everyone. He loves going on walks as much as he loves napping throughout the day.”

In his free time, Dr. Blake enjoys spending time with his family. “Corina is the planner, so we typically do whatever she has cooked up for us,” he says. “The beach, aquariums, and parks are our favorite things to do, but we also love (attempting) to play tennis when the weather is nice. We are also big fans of brunch.”

Dr. Blake went to the University of Central Florida where his favorite subjects were anatomy and physiology. He earned a bachelor’s degree in health science at UCF and a Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange.

“With my anatomy and physiology focus I knew I wanted to do something within that tract,” he says. “I was never a fan of prescription medications as a solution for most ailments, although I do feel there is a time and place for it. Chiropractic’s approach to wellness care and whole body approach to health really just made the most sense to me.”

Some of Dr. Blake’s most significant work with patients involves removing interference from the nervous system through restoring proper joint mobility and/or alignment. “Patients have come to me in the middle of a three-day migraine and gained immediate relief following an adjustment,” he says. “One case that stands out involves a patient who experienced a positive change in blood pressure following an adjustment, according to our pre- and post-check. Sometimes pain is an indicator of much more ominous threats, and being able to identify what is and is not appropriate for chiropractic care is an important feature of every patient exam. I have helped a handful of patients identify life-threatening blood clots and get treated for it immediately, thanks to my training.”

Patient care at The Joint in St. Petersburg meets Dr. Blake’s standards in every way. “My wellness patients are a huge plus. It’s amazing having patients that understand and acknowledge the importance of their spinal health,” he says. “Our clinic would not be as successful as it is today without the support of the team surrounding me. My doctors have been with me for almost as long as I have been with my clinic and we have a great front desk staff. They are what make our work days not feel like work at all.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Blake always keeps grapes in the refrigerator, because “they are nature’s candy!”

If he could create the ideal dinner party including four famous people, Dr. Blake would invite Morgan Freeman, Jack Black, Tony Robbins, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Witnessing the birth of his daughter and watching her grow has been the greatest experience of Dr. Blake’s life. “Hands down, it takes the cake,” he says. “The world and your view of it changes when you have a child, at least it did for me. Everything becomes about making life better for them and challenges me to be better every day.”

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Rodriguez is a favorite of Dr. Blake’s. “It teaches you to be impeccable, to never take things personally or make assumptions, and always do your best.”

He’s drawn a significant life lesson from the book: “Have a strong sense of who you are and never rely on the perception of others to be content with who you are

The best advice he has to give is: “Always try your best and treat others the way you would want your loved ones to be treated

Dr. Mina Hanna, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Carrollwood

Dr. Mina Hanna joined The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2022 when he began serving residents in Orlando, and later moved to the clinic in Tampa, where he relishes the opportunity to do the work he finds so rewarding.

“One of the greatest rewards of being in the chiropractic field is witnessing remarkable recoveries every day and hearing new testimonials from patients who have been struggling with longstanding issues,” he says. “It's truly awe-inspiring to see how powerful chiropractic treatment can be in restoring their health and well-being. These experiences reaffirm my passion for this field and my commitment to helping people achieve optimal health through natural and holistic means. As a chiropractor, I take great pride in helping my patients achieve a pain-free and fulfilling life.”

Dr. Mina, as his patients call him, was born in New Jersey and grew up in Tampa, where he saw many people suffer from chronic pain. “As a volunteer at a homeless outreach program, I witnessed firsthand how opioid addiction devastated the lives of many individuals who initially sought help for their pain,” he says. “It was heartbreaking to see the toll it took on them and their families. This experience inspired me to become a chiropractor, so I can help people alleviate their pain in a holistic way before resorting to other treatments. Conservative chiropractic care can provide effective pain relief without the risks associated with opioids and other medications. My goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of those in my community and beyond by promoting safe and natural healing methods.”

In his free time, Dr. Mina enjoys creating motivational Instagram content that can have a significant impact on people's lives.

He went to the University of South Florida where he earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science. He earned a Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange.

“Since I was young I dreamed of becoming a doctor, but I wasn't sure which field was right for me,” Dr. Mina says. “One day, while researching medical professions, I stumbled upon a video online about a chiropractor who had transformed a young man's life. Despite receiving a bleak prognosis from other doctors who suggested surgery, the chiropractor gave him hope and restored his quality of life. That was a transformative moment for me. I knew that I wanted to become a chiropractor, so that I could have the same impact on people's lives by providing them with hope and holistic care.”

One of the most memorable experiences of Dr. Mina’s life was as a chiropractic student, when he treated a patient who suffered a severe car accident. The patient had drop foot, a condition where she had no sensation in her feet and could not move her toes or lift her feet. “During our first chiropractic session, I noticed significant improvements in her condition,” he says. “The patient was able to feel the floor again and move her toes, which brought tears of joy to her eyes. Witnessing her overwhelming happiness and progress was an incredibly rewarding experience that confirmed my passion for chiropractic care. It's moments like these that inspire me to continue helping people achieve their best health outcomes.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Mina’s freezer is always stocked with ice cream.

If he wrote an autobiography, it would be entitled Maintaining Hope, because it’s an essential part of navigating life's challenges. “As someone who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and faced significant physical impairments, I know firsthand the power of hope,” he says. “Despite being told by doctors that there was no cure and that I would need medication for life, I refused to give up. Instead, I took a holistic approach and lost 120 lbs., completely changing my lifestyle. As a result, I've been able to live symptom-free ever since. My experience shows that even when the road ahead seems impossible, holding onto hope can give you the strength to take action and overcome obstacles. Remember, there's always hope, no matter how tough the journey may seem.”

Dr. Rob Masino began his journey as a local healthcare provider at The Joint Chiropractic in 2021, and in 2022 he joined the Carrollwood clinic location where he continues doing the work he finds so rewarding as clinic director.

“The best thing about being part of the chiropractic profession is that we get to promote wellness and help patients live their lives to the fullest,” he says. “I can't count how many times I've spoken to patients who have told me that chiropractic was their last hope. Being part of a profession that can naturally make such a huge difference in people's lives is truly rewarding and something I'm grateful to be a part of. I have the opportunity to provide care for so many interesting people from all walks of life – professional athletes, music producers, musicians, CEO's, law enforcement, healthcare workers and many more amazing individuals who are making such a large impact on the world.”

Dr. Rob, as his patients call him, grew up in East Hanover, N.J., where he was first exposed to chiropractic by his uncle, Dr. Joseph D. Salamone. “I'm grateful to him for letting me work in his office where I started developing my approach to working with patients,” he says.

Before moving to the Tampa area, Dr. Rob previously worked in Fairfield, N.J.; Davenport, Iowa; Windsor and Enfield, Conn.; and Sarasota.

In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar, creative writing, reading, drawing and painting, playing games, and discovering new restaurants. His other interests include fantasy fiction. “I've always been a huge fan of Lord of the Rings & Medieval Times,” he says.

Dr. Rob attended Montclair State University on a pre-healthcare track and studied biology & general science. He earned a Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

“I'll never forget all of the testimonials my patients and I have brought to life through chiropractic care,” he says. “I've seen so many patients go from being unable to walk, sleep, work, and enjoy time with their families to doing so once again. I've learned that getting well is definitely a team effort between a chiropractor and his patients. I love working with patients who truly are willing to work towards bettering their lives.”

Dr. Rob appreciates the team at The Joint Chiropractic in Carrollwood because he gets to work with like-minded individuals. “I truly believe the future is bright for the patients who walk through our doors,” he says. “We have an abundance of awesome patients who frequent our clinic and I'm excited to add more to the family we have created here.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Rob says he always has rice cakes and peanut butter on hand because “they're undoubtedly an amazing combination.”

If he could put together the perfect dinner party, he would invite Matthew McConaughey, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Adam Sandler, and Chris Pratt. “I would love to hear the conversations started between them,” he says.

The most memorable period of Dr. Rob’s life was when he moved halfway across the country to Iowa. “It was a three-year mission to become an amazing chiropractor and ultimately make a positive impact on society,” he says. “There I met some of the best friends I've ever had and became part of a brotherhood of chiropractors. We lived in a three-story colonial style mansion while all working toward the same goal. These gentlemen helped shape me into the man I am today and I can't thank them enough. Thank you, Delta Sigma Chi, Alpha Chapter members.”

The two most life-changing books Dr. Rob has ever read are Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. “I believe success leaves clues,” he says. “Both of these books are essential for anyone wanting to lead a successful life by which they can define themselves.”

If he wrote an autobiography, he would entitle it Life's White Knight. “It incorporates my interest in medieval times and sums up the purpose I've created for myself,” he says.

Dr. Rob advises others to be the author of their own life. “You get to make the decision about how to respond to the things that happen around you,” he says. “Good and bad situations are inevitable in life. Keep your head up and don't take life so seriously because one day you will have a wonderful story for everyone to read, but it's up to you to write it.”
