Dr. Matt Marsala was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Reno, Nevada, and is the oldest of five brothers. His role as a big brother helped develop strong family values and put him into the role of a leader, mentor, and caretaker. While in high school, he took an interest in the structure and function of the human body as well as natural healing which led him to become a full-time Licensed Massage Therapist while completing his pre-medicine undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada Reno - a stepping stone towards his path to becoming a chiropractor.
One of his massage clients was a chiropractor who gave him his first adjustment. Immediately he noticed functional changes such as less aches and pains while providing massage, better performance in the recreational sports he participated in, and better posture in all aspects of his life. The experience inspired him to become a chiropractor. Dr. Matt now dedicates himself to provide the same experience and benefits to his patients.
In 2013, Dr. Matt and his wife moved to Hayward, California to attend Life Chiropractic College West where he completed his chiropractic studies in March of 2017. Life West exposed him to a wide variety of techniques and disciplines allowing him to provide many options and integrated approaches to effective care for his patients. He also completed a certification program using an Activator which best serves those who are osteoporotic, younger children, or simply those seeking a gentler adjustment. During his time in chiropractic school, he completed an internship with the head chiropractor for the San Francisco 49ers, Dr. Nick Athens, where he learned better ways to adjust extremities as well as managing a high-volume practice.
Dr. Matt’s passion is to provide a service that allows each and every one of his patients the ability to live a fuller, happier, active life. Outside of taking care of his patients, he enjoys simple pleasures in spending time with his beautiful wife and two adorable sons, playing and watching several different sports, traveling, enjoying craft beer and cooking.
Dr. King Rollins graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College Los Angeles in December of 1986. While there he was voted 1985 Student body president. Having worked for his brother Dr. Vern Rollins and Sports Injury specialist Dr. Rick Morris for a few years, Dr. Rollins opened his own clinic in Toluca Lake California in 1989 and practiced there for 15 years prior to moving to Nevada. During that time he earned post graduate degrees in Orthopedics, bio-mechanics, nutrition, addiction recovery, and instrument adjustments techniques. While in Las Vegas Dr. Rollins developed yoga fitness classes he utilized to speed his patients spinal health recovery. Dr. Rollins has a deep understanding of the need for regular chiropractic care and has fully embraced the weekly adjustment through membership paradigm provided here at The Joint.

Dr. Lucas Tichawa is a passionate chiropractor and a 2023 graduate of Life Chiropractic College West. After spending five years working in Western medicine as a medical sales representative and intraoperative neuromonitoring technician, Dr. Tichawa transitioned to chiropractic care, seeking a profession that offered a deeper, more personal connection with patients and emphasized preventative care. His experience working in spinal fusion surgeries inspired him to pursue a career focused on holistic healing and the well-being of individuals before resorting to extreme measures like surgery.
Dr. Tichawa’s journey into chiropractic was also deeply influenced by his interactions with other chiropractors who were incredibly connected to their work. Their sense of purpose and fulfillment sparked his own desire to practice a profession that allowed him to have a meaningful impact on people's lives every day. Today, Dr. Tichawa is thrilled to be practicing chiropractic and is dedicated to helping his patients achieve optimal health.
Specializing in Diversified chiropractic techniques, as well as Drop Table and Activator methods, Dr. Tichawa has a particular passion for working with pregnant mothers and babies. He finds great joy in helping these individuals maintain healthy, pain-free lives.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Tichawa enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two-year-old son. They love hiking, camping, visiting national parks, and playing frisbee golf. Dr. Tichawa and his wife dream of one day owning a homestead where they can raise animals and grow their own food, continuing their passion for a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
Dr. Tichawa is grateful to be living his dream as a chiropractor, helping others experience a life of health and wellness.
