Meet The Doctors

Dr. Rowen Pfeifer, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Mt. Juliet

Dr. Rowen S. Pfeifer chose to become a Doctor of Chiropractic after studying the principles of health (diet, nutrition, exercise, etc.) for 15 years which lead him to an understanding of how the body can naturally heal and repair if given a chance. This is the vitalistic or holistic understanding of how the body works. He then discovered that Chiropractic was a vitalistic healing profession that works by removing interference to the nerve system which controls and coordinates the proper functioning of all the muscles, glands, organs and tissues of the body. He decided, at the age of 32, to change the direction of his life and study Chiropractic. He studied the Pre-Medical curriculum at Middle Tennessee State University and then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where he graduated with honors. Dr. Rowen, as he prefers to be called, graduated March 20, 1987 and has loved helping people achieve their highest level of wellness through Chiropractic and Health Coaching ever since. He understands the importance of being a good example of what he teaches so he works out regularly and loves being physically active. In addition to playing and singing in a classic rock band he still, at age 68, loves slalom water skiing weekly during the season.

Dr. Christina Judon, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Mt. Juliet

Hello, my name is Dr Christina Judon. I was a military kid who grew up in Clarksville, TN.

I love fitness! I enjoy running, hiking, biking and Crossfit. I coached Crossfit while in chiropractic school. In high school and in college, I competed in cross country and track. At Tennessee Tech, the 800 was my main event. To this day, I still have a special place in my heart for track. Being on a team, taught me how important it is not only to set goals and foster my own dreams but also to encourage and push others to do the same as well.

After college, I moved to Charlotte and worked as an Engineer and realized I wanted to do something that allowed me to help others on a more personal level. I started with small steps like getting my certification in personal training though Athletics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and a postural and motion certification with Egoscue Posture Therapy. I loved the small steps I had taken but decided it was time for a big leap into the service and healthcare industry so I went back to school full time at Sherman College in Spartanburg, SC and became a Doctor of Chiropractic.

I love my career! What I love most is helping others and seeing them move to a level of health and wellness beyond their expectations and dreams by simply taking a proactive approach to their health.

Dr. Monet Shook, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Mt. Juliet

Dr. Monet Shook grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s in Cardio Respiratory Care Sciences. Dr. Shook worked as a respiratory therapist at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN for four years. Over time, she realized that her work did not coincide with her perspective that the body is self-healing. In her quest to expand her career to a more fitting healthcare ideology, she learned about chiropractic and the body’s innate ability to heal with a properly functioning nervous system. Under academic scholarship, she enrolled in Sherman College of Chiropractic in 2012 to learn how to help people heal without medicine or surgery. In practice, Dr. Shook combines chiropractic with nutrition and rehabilitation exercises. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, reading, writing, cooking, and hiking.  She serves on the health board of her church that educates the community on how to improve their health. In the currently weak state or our healthcare system, it is her desire to touch as many people as possible to share with them how they can change their lives for the better.
