Dr. Johnson graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in December of 1978. With over 40 years of experience, he has had the privilege of working with a wide variety of patients, ranging from infant to geriatric. Dr. Johnson is specialized in diversified adjustments, such as manipulation of the spine.
Steve Johnson DC joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2015 after being in solo practice since 1978. He retired from his practice in 2012. Dr. Johnson wanted to be a chiropractor as a teenager because he got relief from adjustments while playing football and wrestling in high school.
Since becoming a long term doctor at The Joint, Dr. Johnson has enjoyed seeing patients and getting them on a regimen. He says ”Getting patients to come in on a regular basis is much easier at The Joint with the prices being more reasonable than what the charges would be at a private practice.”
During Dr Johnson’s spare time, he enjoys shooting at the Waukesha Gun Curb on a weekly Basis. He is an avid shotgun enthusiast. He has been married to his wife Ruth for 32 years.
Dr. Quan Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Madison Wisconsin in 2005 and his doctorate from the National University of Health Science in 2010. Before joining the team at The Joint, he previously practiced chiropractic in Naperville, Illinois and Shorewood, Wisconsin. According to Dr. Quan, the best part of working as a chiropractor is “informing and educating patients about their health and making people feel better”.
Dr. Quan and his wife Alyssa have one son and one daughter. He enjoys fishing, movies, video games and comedy during his free time. He may make you laugh with his own stand-up comedy while performing your adjustment! Dr. Quan says, “I knew chiropractic was my calling while studying medicine and realizing patients needed more than just pills. Patients need a healing touch.” The “friendly staff and fantastic patients” were what drew him to The Joint.
In Case You Didn’t Know:
If Dr. Quan could comprise the perfect dinner party, he would invite Chef Yang, Chef Morimoto, Master Chef Jiro and Rick Bayless to his home, so they could cook for him while they discuss food! Lastly, he says, “I have a pretty normal life. I don’t do crazy things and I am not too adventurous, so the coolest thing I have done is shovel snow in my shorts. It was really cool (cold)!”
Come say ‘hello’ to Dr. Quan Nguyen at The Joint clinic in Brookfield!
Dr. Patrick Bell joined the team at The Joint Chiropractic in 2019 with his arrival at the Brookfield clinic. A graduate of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a bachelor of science in biology and chemistry, he got his doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
“The thing I love about being in this field is helping and managing care for patients,” he says. “Seeing people get better is the most rewarding aspect to being a chiropractor."
“The other thing I love is teaching and empowering patients so that they are able to get well on their own with the aid of chiropractic.”
Dr. Bell worked previously in Mt. Pleasant, Racine, Glendale, and Milwaukee, as well as Iowa and Colorado.
In his spare time he enjoys being with his wife Elizabeth and spending time outdoors and the adventures that brings. He’s also keen on stretching and exercising, and enjoys playing sports such as baseball, football, golf, lacrosse, and tennis.
It was on a mission trip to Brazil that Dr. Bell had one of his most gratifying experiences as a chiropractor. A patient said, in his native Portuguese, that “[Dr. Bell] has the hands of a saint.”
“This reaffirmed that chiropractic was my calling to make a difference,” he says.
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr Bell says the one thing he always has in his refrigerator is water. “I love water,” he says. “It does a body good.”
If he could bring together any individuals from history for his dream dinner party, Dr. Bell would start with Copernicus and Galileo, he says, “to know what it’s like to have a proven idea that society does not accept and be rejected even though the idea was proven correct.”
Dr. Bell would also include basketball player Michael Jordan, who he calls “a living legend, an inspiration of how to be a professional that motivates oneself to perform at the highest level every day.”
Dr. Bell says that his superpower is healing people and the coolest thing he has done “is to help heal people.”
