Dr. Bree Barrett joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2016 and returned to the Midtown and East Atlanta locations in 2019. She graduated Cum Laude from Loyola University-New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. From there she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University with her doctorate in chiropractic.
“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is the ability to help patients experience health and wellness without drugs and surgery,” she says. “The other thing that is so gratifying is the relationship we build with patients and supporting them through life’s ups and downs.”
Dr. Bree, as she prefers her patients call her, has worked in Marietta and Acworth, as well as Atlanta. A product of South Louisiana, she enjoys running 5K and 10K races, along with cooking and reading when she’s not working or spending time with her two daughters and son.
She pursued chiropractic because she saw the failings of the status quo. “My aunt was battling multiple sclerosis and breast cancer, and traditional medicine was not healing,” she says. “If anything, the MS drugs created the breast cancer. Chiropractic care was able to relieve some of the pain caused by MS and help improve my aunt’s quality of life.” Dr. Bree is excited to be working at the Midtown and East Atlanta locations. “I love working with this staff,” she says. “I feel like I am part of a cohesive team that provides the best quality care available.”

Dr. Bree says the one thing she always has stocked in her refrigerator is vanilla-flavored almond milk: “It’s my daughter’s favorite.”
Her dream dinner would include a table that has Oprah Winfrey, U2 singer Bono, entertainer Chelsea Handler, and Chef Emeril Lagasse. “Oprah is a legend and inspiration, and Chelsea Handler is hilarious,” Dr. Bree says. “U2 is my favorite band and I admire Bono’s humanitarian work, and Chef Emeril is a fantastic chef who loves New Orleans as much as I do.”
The coolest thing Dr. Bree has done, she says, took place while on vacation. “I went to China and walked the Great Wall of China.”
Dr. Boyd graduated with honors from Texas Chiropractic College, after obtaining his bachelor's degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry from Texas Southern University. He was introduced to Chiropractic after his friend was injured and disabled for months due to a car accident. Boyd practiced in Houston until hisailing father, a General Practitioner in Nigeria, persuaded him to complete a medical diploma to assume responsibility of his father's clinic. He obtained his medical degree from St. Mathews University School of Medicine, located in Oviedo, Florida. He then practiced pain medicine as a specialty, utilizing Prolotherapy and Platelets Rich Plasma Injections (PRP) to aleviate pain, in Nigeria for 5 years. Dr. Boyd still monitors this fully operational clinic in Nigeria and travels there to assist with patients whenever he has a chance. With both a medical and chiropractic background, he is a great asset. For over 10 years, Dr. Boyd has maintained the reputation of being a competent and careful Chiropractor.
Dr. Kevin Stalls joined the family of local healthcare providers with The Joint Chiropractic in 2019 with his arrival at the East Atlanta clinic location. Dr. Stalls -- you can also call him Dr. Kevin -- graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Colorado State University before earning a doctorate of chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College.
“The thing I like most about being in this field is that chiropractic really does help people feel better,” Dr. Stalls says. “I like the opportunity to be a calming and caring presence in someone else’s life.”
Dr. Stalls is no stranger to Atlanta professionally, but as a self-described military brat, he is also no stranger to Texas, Virginia, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Iceland.
When he’s not working or spending time with his family, which includes two daughters, a Chihuahua named Rothko, and a wife he describes as “the absolute best,” Dr. Stalls enjoys cooking.
Although he thinks his true calling is as an actor and writer, Dr. Stalls knew he had found his purpose at the very beginning of his career. “I was finally at clinic at TCC and I started treating someone with severe back pain, as well as PTSD, and I was able to help him so much in life,” he says. “I knew then that I was going to have a major positive impact on the lives of many people as a chiropractor.”
He could not be happier that he is now having a major positive impact on his current patients.
“I really like working at East Atlanta because I really feel like a part of the community,” Dr. Stalls says, “and I fit right in because it’s a very laid back group of people who live here.”

One of the things that’s always stocked in Dr. Stalls’ refrigerator is butter. “Butter,” he says, “makes everything better.”
If Dr. Stalls could bring together any four characters from history for the dinner party of his dreams, he would include two actors, a motivational speaker, and a talk show host. “Jack Lemmon is my all-time favorite actor, and Hugh Jackman is a versatile actor and all-around good guy,” he says. “Tony Robbins is unique, a powerful force of nature full of positive energy, and Ellen DeGeneres is a great light of love and acceptance -- and she’s hilarious.”
Dr. Stalls says one of the coolest things he has ever experienced was attending a performance at the the magic bar in Snowmass, Colo., before it closed down: “One of the best magicians in the world blew my mind right in front of me as I drank a Labatt Bleue in the beautiful snowy Rockies.”
Dr. Trent Leisey became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2021 when he began serving residents in the Atlanta area, where he continues doing the work that he finds so personally rewarding.
“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is popping bodies like glow sticks,” he says. “I’m bringing that snap, crackle, and pop to the party, and I ain’t talking about no cereal.”
Dr. Trent, as he is known to his patients, is a product of south Georgia. He worked previously in Valdosta owning and operating his own personal injury clinic, and previously attended Valdosta State University.
In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. He also likes playing guitar and singing, following Atlanta Braves baseball, and spending time with his family and two dogs.
At Valdosta, he earned a degree in communications before getting a doctorate of chiropractic from Life University.
Trent was driven to the field by his desire to serve people. “I just wanted to help people with my hands,” he says. “I love working at this location because it’s ‘alive’ and there’s such a diversity of patients.”

Trent says the guilty pleasure in his kitchen is boiled peanuts, which he loves.
If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, he would include Jesus, Johnny Cash, Mary Queen of Scots, and Geronimo. “I think the conversation would be great,” he says.
The coolest thing Trent has ever done was take to the rodeo arena. “I rode a bull,” he says. “It was thrilling and exciting, and I would do it all over again. I lasted 3.2 seconds.”
