Dr. Joel attended Life University in Marietta, GA, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology as well as a professional degree as doctor of chiropractic. While in school he helped raise his five kids who are now 13, 13, 14, 17, and 18 and worked part-time as an audio-visual specialist for Life U.

Dr. Joel has special interest in and is pursuing advanced training in scoliosis specific rehabilitative chiropractic care. His wife of 19 years, Sarah, was diagnosed with scoliosis as a young teenager and is part of the reason Dr. Joel became a chiropractor.

He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University, Atlanta, GA in 2004. Since then, his life’s mission has been serving his patients in their personal wellness journey and making the wonderful benefits of chiropractic known through his chiropractic adjustments.

At the age of 5, Dr. Chad said something happened to him that would change his life forever. He was suffering from severe allergies and experienced 50% decline in his hearing. Nothing helped him get relief until he was taken to a chiropractor where he received his first life changing adjustment.

He says, “I still remember how great that first adjustment felt. My hearing was instantly restored, and as I continued care my allergies improved.” That’s when he knew he would become a Doctor of Chiropractic and help other people get the same amazing results that he did.

Originally from Pompano Beach, Florida, Dr. Shea earned his bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. His journey into chiropractic care was inspired while he was working as a golf professional, where he met a doctor who sparked his passion for the field.

Dr. Shea joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2020, bringing with him over two decades of experience. He is particularly known for his care of children, pregnant women, and athletes, though his background includes working with a wide range of patients. As Dr. Shea explains, “What drew me to specialize in pediatrics, pregnancy, and extremities was seeing how much proper alignment could improve quality of life at any stage—from early development to athletic performance.”

I’ve been a patient for over a year and will probably be one until the day I die. When I first went to The Joint I had a lot of lower back troubles that were paired with a migraine that would bring me to tears. Now I go once a week for a weekly adjustment and haven’t had those painful back troubles nor the migraines. Coming to The Joint has truly been life changing for me.
