Dr. Lance Alexander began his journey as a local healthcare provider at The Joint Chiropractic in 2021, but it wasn’t until 2022 that he joined the Jackson clinic location to continue doing the work he finds so rewarding.

“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is when people get on the table in pain, but they get off the table in no pain or less pain,” he says. “I love helping patients’ bodies heal on their own.”

Dr. Lance, as his patients call him, is a product of Jackson and worked previously in Clarksville, Tenn. When he is not working, he likes sports, and particularly enjoys being on the lake “or any body of water.”

He earned his doctorate from Logan University in Chesterfield, Mo. He previously received his bachelor’s of science in exercise science from University of Tennessee-Martin.

“I hurt my back playing intramural flag football in college, and when I went to the chiropractor for the first time, he explained the philosophy of helping the body heal itself, and that really resonated with me,” he says. “I really enjoy every day seeing patients get on the table visibly in pain, but seeing the relief and joy in their faces after the adjustment. It really keeps me going.”

He could not be happier working in Jackson. “I’m born and raised in the area so I feel as though I’m contributing to the community by helping everyone with their aches and pains so that they can enjoy their daily lives more,” he says.

After that, follow-up visits are usually just five to 10 minutes. I went to this place almost three months ago with a pinched nerve in my back this place was so unprofessional it wasn’t even funny. They didn’t do a X-Ray on me before adjusting me to see where the problem was or if they could even help me. I got adjusted on my first visit then picked one of their plans they had to choose from paid $170 on the first day and it was only supposed to be $30 that included X-Ray and adjustment on for new patients. Then I go like they wanted me to and wanted to cancel going because money was getting tight and I couldn’t afford to drive a hour one way to be seen in and out in five minutes each time then drive a hour home. Well they told me I couldn’t cancel that my package had another month and refused to let me cancel my upcoming payments and appointments. I didn’t even go my last month paid them $90 and didn’t even go now they have not put in my cancellation request like they said they would and I have been charged again. I’m currently in the same position with my back as I was three months ago when I started going to them and am praying they didn’t make it worse. Not to mention I took my daughter in there with me one time and the Chiropractor that was there was cussing up a storm in the main lobby right infront of my daughter just totally unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend anybody going there!

Great atmosphere very inviting office. Stephanie (I believe that is her name) is so pleasant and makes you feel at home and like she’s been your best friend since way back. Very knowledgeable chiropractors with laid back personalities (and listen/read) to what you are wanting them to address, and so thankful because they addressed my hand instead of just saying it’s all arthritis. Definitely would recommend y’all to go there!

The care is good but they sucker you in with the “wellness plan.” If you sign up for the first month at the discounted rate then you HAVE to sign up for a second month at a $79 and they will not let you cancel your plan without signing on for the second month. Good care, but just like the rest of healthcare they find a way to charge you.

I walked in never ever being to a chiropractor before however I couldn’t even stand straight. I was in so much pain. I didn’t care what they had to do , I just wanted them to do what they had to do. I love Dr. Pfeifer! He's so good at listening to my body's needs. I have a lot of nerve pain and he's really gentle with me. Getting adjusted regularly has helped me not even need Tylenol most days! I was happy with the staff there but, they charged me for a second month. When I called and explained that I only wanted the first month I was told it was included in the deal. I told them that was not made clear to me when I came in. I was under the impression that the 108 dollars I paid was for my visits and that they were supposed to be affordable. I can't afford to pay that a month. When I asked for the corporate office number I was told they didn't have it but she would have the manager call me the next day. I have yet to receive this call. And now my electric is off cause of this.

The woman at the front desk was super friendly and personable which made my very first visit more enjoyable. The chiropractor was extremely knowledgeable about what he was doing and explained everything as he went along. I had a headache for 7 straight days from neck and muscle tension and a few hours after I left my headache finally went away. Not sure what the magic was but nothing was helping. He also emailed me some recommended stretches for me to do to help. Definitely would recommend. Overall, great experience!

Hi!! :) I walked in as a New first time Patient to the JC in Jackson yesterday. I filled out an extensive questionnaire first and was seen fairly quickly for being a new incoming patient. The chiropractor was very nice and put me at ease right away. I told him all my problem areas. He was able to access and tell me of issues, I didn't even realize I had,but I knew something was off. He decided after my accesment I was not in need of x-rays first and could be treated that day. He did my adjustment and explained everything as he went. I didn't feel any pain, I felt less tense and a release for sure. It is the next morning after my adjustment and as to be expected. My neck ( 1 major problem area) is a bit sore and stiff, but he told me to expect that and ice. Nothing I can't handle. I was recommended a 12-week treatment plan. I go in several times a week. I paid less than $100 for that plan. The prices and payment options are great and can work for anyone. I'm excited to see where the next few weeks lead me and my problem areas, and I believe it will only get better from here. I also took advantage of a $19 walk-in special for that visit and it included, consult , exam, and adjustment. This was also MY first time Ever seeking treatment from a chiropractor, and I immediately thought, what have I been missing all my life . 5 stars all the way. I should also mention that my husband actually went last week for the 1st time and was hardly able to walk or move without pain due to physically demading and labor intensive work. He also had a great experience and was actually able to walk out and sleep that night for the 1st time in a year or more. Thank you, Joint Chiropractor of Jackson.

Went to go get adjusted, they told me they had an offer for new clients not mentioning that is a reoccurring charge to my card. I went for the buy 4 get 2 free visits thinking it was just for that month only! After 4 months of not going I just so happened to see a charge for the joint and I looked back on my statements and they had continuously charged me $79.99. $319.96 all together had been taken from my account. Typical corporate greed wants to keep my money and give me 10 visits that will never expire at a $289.00 value that I will never use and they’ll still come ahead with my money. Just give me my refund for the 4 months you charged me! If I would have known it was reoccurring I would have never did their little new comers deal. This is your fault for not being upfront with your customers! Maybe make sure your employees inform customers that this a reoccurring charge!

I was recommended to The Joint by my cousin in Wisconsin so I tried the one here in Jackson. From the moment I walked through the door I loved the place. The lady at the desk (who is no longer there) was fantastic informing me of everything. Her replacement, Stephanie does great providing all the information needed so you can choose the best plan for you. All the doctors have been great however my all time favorite is/wad Dr. Johnson! The joint is the best thing to happen to Chiropractic. They have offices all over the country where I have personally used three times this year while traveling for work and vacation. The best thing is is I haven’t had of a bad doctor yet. I was skeptical of not having the same doctor every time I go in and wondering, what kind of treatment am I going to get, but that has not been the case with the joint. Highly highly recommend, and it doesn’t break the Bank either!

I walked in, and was seen fairly quickly. After a hip surgery and numerous injuries from the military, I’m plagued with constant aches and pains. I really needed some lower back relief. The adjustment was quick and thorough. I felt instant relief, and have noticed less pain. I plan to follow up tomorrow, as recommended.

I started using this franchise while living in Florida and signed up on the monthly plan with the knowledge of having sites all over the US. I made a move to Tennessee and there is a franchise about an hour away in a larger city. Thankfully my last two adjustments have been perfect after all the packing and lifting that I haven't needed them sooner! I love that I can auto pay with my HSA funds and most thankful that I have NOT encountered an inept chiropractor to date since signing up a few months ago. I love that you are allowed four visits per month for the same rate I was paying for one office visit from previous chiropractor! I love to go in, scan tag, wait 1-5 minutes, then be seen promptly. Just do it. You can thank me later!

My first visit went really well! Stephanie, the receptionist was extremely friendly and informative. It was a really busy day and she still made it a priority to greet and interact with each patient. I had a great experience at Joint Chiropractic I walked in and was seen including paperwork etc in about an hour. If you have a great deal of pain and discomfort you may require X-rays or something more extensive. I have to been to a chiropractor around a year ago so I new what to expect. Update 7/10/23: Dr. Lance & Dr. Johnson are amazing! I’m still regularly attending weekly, getting my body adjust. Helps keep my workouts great and I breathe so much better. Never knew how adjustments could help in so many areas. Ms. Sherry is just great and gives such a welcome and greeting each time! Ms. Stephanie is so sweet and is so cheerful when everyone arrives. So happy with being here! ———————— I’ve been a member of Joint Chiropractic in Jackson since November 2022 and have been coming about once a week monthly. My! What a difference! I was not aware of the adjustment that I needed. I started with Dr. Lance and he explained everything to me thoroughly and answered all the questions I had. This routine has served me well and helped in my workouts, sleep, and work environment. Everyone is extremely nice and caring- that’s the doctors and the receptionists. Each visit the doctor asks how I am feeling and if I have any pains. They talk you through the adjustment so you are not shocked at what’s happening- which is helpful for someone that is anxious. I also didn’t think I would need a weekly adjustment but boy was I wrong! The tune ups are just as wonderful as the initial adjustment. I will continue to make this a part of my care routine. I always feel so great when I leave there.

This was my 1st time seeing a Chiropractor. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice and detailed with explaining everything to me. They was very friendly and patient. I had my exam and told what my area problems were. The adjustment was very nice and I felt very relieved after wards. Can't wait to go back. They worked out a plan for me and it's great. Absolutely great experience! The receptionist, wish I would asked her name, but was AMAZING. I had to bring my toddler along, who wasn't happy, and the receptionist was so helpful during my visit. Absolutely made me and my child feel welcome. She was so helpful and very friendly. The doctor was knowledgeable, patient and very helpful as well and quick! Which is what this busy momma on the go needs. I feel so much better after just one visit! Definitely will recommend to everyone and will be back...but without my kid if I can help it.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it here at the Jackson, Tennessee location! I am a recent California transplant and I have never been to a chiropractor before I moved here to Jackson. The friendly staff put ALL my worries at bay after my very first appointment. Stephanie and Sherry at the front desk are the sweetest and nicest ladies you will ever meet! They always call me back (even when I have called by mistake…lol) and have cheery attitudes and smiles every time walk in. Dr. Lance Alexander is not only nice, knowledgeable and profession, he also is a miracle worker!!! I have had so many back (surgeries as well), neck, arm, hand and hip problems is the past that I not only had concerns about it making my issues worse, I also worried that it would be painful, wouldn’t help and end up being a waste of time and money. On my initial visit I was so scared I refused to let him do my neck at all. However, by the end of my visit I was so confident in his skills that I asked him to go ahead and try it. Honestly, I had low hopes of it even moving because it had been years since I could even crack my own neck or lower back. I was (and still am) AMAZED and not only how much he cracks in (with zero pain mind you) but am also fully aware of how not all adjustments he does require a notable popping sound in my head and how he can feel if it move or not. I have an extremely low priced monthly plan and now could not imagine what it would be like to not go and have that release and comfort continued. I am so glad I put my fears aside and because this was definitely one of the wisest decisions I have ever made. The chiropractor today would not “pop” my back. He did the “drops” and pulled on my legs. I went due to lower back pain. He also “cracks” my neck but my lower back is still killing me! I rolled over on my side and got into position to have my lower back adjusted and he informs me that the other guy will be back tomorrow and that he did drops for my back. This was a wasted visit!
