Meet The Doctors

Dr. Julie Weisberg, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Sandy Plains

Dr. Julie Weisberg has been practicing since 1998, since graduating from Life University following her degree from Kennesaw State University in 1994 where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science. She was a young college student having skipped a grade and graduating early before joining Kennesaw State University. She joined The Joint in 2022, working at the Sandy Plains office. Prior to working with the team, she was working in the Marietta area having moved here from many different moves in the fourth grade. Even though her family is from Upstate New York, she has never left Marietta since landing here at a young age.

Dr. Julie, as she prefers, truly loves her profession “I LOVE helping people live OPTIMALLY & educating on how Chiropractic is a vital part of that! As I often say. If you don't take care of your body, where else are you going to live?” her life into chiropractic was not a typical one at all, “My first day in chiropractic school I had 2 bottles of aspirin in my purse! I had been in multiple car accidents, hit by a motorcycle while jogging, fell out of a moving car, played soccer and was just all around clumsy, so to me having pain and covering it up was "normal". Also I used to "pop" my own joints from my neck to my toes for some comfort, having no idea at the time how bad that can be for you! I had fatigue issues too that I also thought were just normal for me. Through my classes I learned how the spine is a vital organ, much like the heart or lungs. The spine protects the nervous system and the nervous system controls every cell, tissue, muscle, organ, bone, and every system including the immune system in the body! After my first adjustment I felt like I was living at 110% having only been living at maybe 70% at 19 years old but not knowing the difference! It can take a lot of energy to be in that much pain, who knew?!?! I realized then that I DID INDEED have my very own BIG CHIROPRACTIC STORY! As the years went on I became more than a student, more than an aspiring doctor, I became a BELIEVER! I hope you will give yourself that same opportunity and come get an adjustment today!” She loves the position she is in at the location in Sandy Plains, “Having been a solopreneur the majority of the 24 years I have been in practice it is AWESOME to be part of a Chiropractic team with local, regional & corporate support! I LOVE helping people, adjusting spines & CHANGING LIVES! Working with The Joint allows me to do more of that! At the Sandy Plains location I still have the freedom to be creative & help with marketing & aspects I also enjoy, but my only full responsibility & focus is my patients!”

She lives with her boyfriend of 7 years, Josh, that she has known since 6th grade. They recently bought their first home together last fall and are accompanied by their two pets, Big Mama and Jersey girl. Big Mama is a 13 year old dog and really thinks she is everyone's Big Mama, Jersey Girl is a 12 year old female cat. There is also Otis, he was the sweetest soul & 17 years old when he went to rainbow bridge in September 2021. She thoroughly enjoys life when she is not passionately working, as she enjoys Working out, getting outside, animals especially mine, family, friends, writing, traveling, the beach, the pool, cooking, dancing, soccer, music, The Law of Attraction, The Secret.

She states that there are many things that she has done that have been cool, “My boyfriend & I won a social media photo contest TWO YEARS in a row for a vacation to one of our favorite destinations...that was PRETTY COOL! I have met lots of famous people, traveled to super spots, been to many events, made lots of Personal Records in workouts, built businesses, created lasting relationships with family & friends, volunteered & saved a LOT of animals!” but ultimately, the coolest is “choosing to become a Doctor of Chiropractic & getting to witness the miracles of Chiropractic EVERYDAY!” When asked what a famous dinner party of four would be she stated, “Rhonda Bryne, the author of The Secret book & movie series! I have followed her masterpiece of work since she began 20 plus years ago & would LOVE to pick her brain & dive even deeper into my studies of The Law of Attraction! Marilyn Monroe, because I adore her & her effortless, timeless beauty & charisma despite her own lack of always seeing them! Plus I would be SO INTERESTED to know some of her secrets from those dramatic less publicized times! Mother Teresa, as she was an AMAZING SOUL that truly & only gave of herself to help others! I also align with her power of positivity & law of attraction too! One of my favorite quotes is one of hers & why I do not watch the news or anything that could darken my outlook. " If you hold an anti-war rally, I shall not attend. But if you hold a PRO-PEACE rally, invite me.” Dr. Sid Williams, founder of Life University & the educator of Chiropractic! While I met him many times as a student & doctor, I would LOVE to be able to hear him speak again! I would be fascinated to see where he thinks his vision for the school, chiropractic & spreading the principles of the Chiropractic story are today! I would also be SO EXCITED for the newest & upcoming Chiropractic generation to hear is PASSION live!

Dr. Morgan Pierce, Graduated from Life University in 2022 and joined The Joint team shortly after offering her expertise in multiple disciplines of the profession to multiple clinics in the Atlanta, and Marietta areas. She is serving 4 clinics and offers services for Chiropractic Biophysics and Webster technique. She graduated from Life University with her DOctorate of Chiropractic and her bachelor’s in Science.

Raised in York, Pennsylvania she really enjoys playing with her dog, Silas, taking care of her plants, reading and playing the piano. She is married to another chiropractor, who is currently finishing up school. Dr. Morgan, as she prefers, loves her profession and understands the unique trait chiropractic can offer, saying “There is no other field of healthcare that views the body as holistically as our profession. Our bodies are brilliant and just need the right conditions to really thrive.” Her love of being able to help others is the reason she is in this career field, stating “ Getting someone off of pain medication, helping a mother be able to pick up her kids more easily, finding the root cause of someone’s headaches, we can really make changes by treating and mobilizing the spine and the impacting nervous system.”

When Dr. Morgan was asked about her patients in the clinics, she said, “ The people here seem to get why caring for the spine is so important.” She knew her mind was made up on chiropractic simply because of how the approach of taking care of the body was so holistically, “My mom and I came to Life University to see what it was all about, and a few weeks later I was accepted there as a student.”

She loves Strawberries and it shows because she says they make her happy, therefore she always has them in her fridge. She has been in Thailand and did note that “Nothing has topped being hugged by an elephant in Thailand.” When asked what a famous dinner party of four would be she stated, Taylor Lewis, C.S. Lewis, Jesus, Ben Rector.

Dr. Emily Kate, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Sandy Plains

Dr. Emily Kate graduated in 2017 with her Bachelor’s of Art with honors and a specialization in Kinesiology from The University of Western Ontario. She then followed her passion for chiropractic by attending chiropractic school in 2017, then graduating from Life University with her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2020.

Dr. Emily, as she prefers was born in the small town of Cavan, Ontario in Canada, which is a couple of hours northeast of Toronto. Upon moving to London, Ontario to attend The University of Western Ontario she started working on cars and then developed a nagging shoulder/upper back injury from an intense summer of work at Toyota Motor Manufacturing. She then went to see a chiropractor about her injury and it was then that she instantly felt relief in her shoulder. She then decided to help others the same way her chiropractor did. While at Life University, she went through multiple seminars and extracurricular activities to help her better take care of her patients of all ages. Through schooling she was also able to travel to Costa Rica and Jamaica and provide premier chiropractic care to the population.

She started at The Joint in March, 2021 at the John’s Creek Town Center location in Suwannee, GA. She absolutely loves her office and everyone that comes through that door, because for she “loves getting to create a community of health and healing. I see my regular patients and meet new patients every day and it is always a pleasure caring for them and empowering them to live a healthier and pain free life.” When asked her favorite part of her profession, she stated, “The best thing about being a chiropractor is getting to care for and support people on their journey to better health. In most cases people come to us in a lot of pain, looking for pain relief. Chiropractic has an amazing ability to not only provide pain relief, but it also allows for people to function better – improving their overall quality of life!” Being that she learned how to take care of patients of all ages and stages of life through her schooling she has a passion for improving other’s lives, stating, “I love that chiropractic care is for everyone! Whether you are in pain or just looking to add something to yourself care routine – everyone can benefit from regular chiropractic care. Getting the opportunity to impact someone life through chiropractic care is one of my greatest joys and pleasures and it makes coming to work every day that much more fun!”

When she isn’t loving her work-life she enjoys being on the move, “Whether it is outside hiking or biking, going to the gym, cooking for friends and family or going to Lowes and Home Depot and starting a new weekend project – I am always excited to try something new or go on a new adventure.” She has a miniature dachshund, named Eleanor, that lives life with her on the go! When asked about the one thing that stays in her fridge, she said, “Real Canadian Maple Syrup. You never know when you are going to have a craving for pancakes or waffles, OR a last minute brunch!” the coolest thing she has done is “Racing snowmobiles for 2 years in Canada. I got to travel around Ontario and Quebec all winter with my Dad as my mechanic racing at a different place every weekend.”
