I have been in private practice since my graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, Iowa) in 1992. My journey has taken me to Wisconsin, Colorado, Florida, Illinois and even the US Virgin Islands. I have been in the Rockford area most of the last 15 years.
I was raised in Bettendorf, Iowa. I competed in gymnastics in high school and into college. I am a huge Iowa Hawkeyes fan and I try to annually attend a football game and wrestling meet. While at Palmer College I started to play rugby and continued for several years after.
In the Rockford area I have been very involved in the fitness world through my practice and CrossFit. I have co-owned a local CrossFit gym and still coach some CrossFit athletes. I also have competed in CrossFit locally and nationally.
While I have treated many professional athletes over the years, in a variety of sports, my practice focus has always been on lifetime family wellness care. I like to call it, “wellness care from birth to death.”
Outside of the office I am a proud husband to my wife Brandy, honored to be the father of my sons Brandin and Sawyer, and my step daughters Hailey and Madison. Brandy and I are also blessed to be grandparents to our granddaughters Alex and River.
When I am not in the office, Brandy and I workout nearly everyday. I am also a huge fan of high school and college wrestling, football, rugby and CrossFit. But nothing is more relaxing than watching a great movie.
I look forward to providing affordable and high quality chiropractic care to you all here at The Joint in Rockford.
Since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL, my career has taken me to the Carolinas and eventually back here to Illinois.
I was born and raised in the great state of Michigan. I played softball for 12 years and ended my career playing for Central Michigan University. My passion for sports and movement runs deep.
During Chiropractic school, I found CrossFit and decided to become a certified trainer. My husband and I continue to be very involved in CrossFit and are huge advocates of learning how to lift and move well for a lifetime.
While I love working with athletes, I’m also drawn to working with expecting/postpartum moms. There’s nothing more beautiful than the strength of the human body, which pregnancy can well define!
My husband, Travis, and I are proud parents to our son, Brooks. We love spending time together and with our two dogs, Tyson and Griff. My family and I truly live a lifestyle that revolves around movement and limiting outside toxicity. This includes lots of exercise, clean eating habits and of course, routine chiropractic care.
I can’t wait to help serve the Rockford area!
Favorite Quote: “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most adaptable to change.”
I moved to Lombard Illinois from Michigan in 2004 for Chiropractic school and have practiced in the Chicagoland area ever since.
I was raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan and attended Michigan State University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology. After completion of my bachelor’s, I attended National University of Health Sciences where I graduated with my Chiropractic degree.
During Chiropractic school, I started running and biking and have since completed several triathlons and running races with distances of 5k to 50k. My next goal is to complete a 50-mile race.
With my love for running and fitness, I spend a lot of my free time with my husband working out and training for races. This has led me to another passion of nutrition. I have taken many continuing education courses to learn more about nutrition and how to live a healthier lifestyle.
I am excited to join the Rockford team and provide quality effective chiropractic care to the community.
