OUR SERVICES
Chiropractic Care Personalized For Every Body
A Natural Approach To Drug-free Pain Relief
Every body is different, and so is every path to feeling better. At The Joint Chiropractic, we take a
personalized, hands-on approach to care that supports your lifestyle and health goals without the use of
drugs or invasive treatments.
From easing pain and improving mobility to supporting long-term wellness, our licensed chiropractors
provide natural care designed to help you move better and live more fully. Whether you’re recovering from
an injury, navigating pregnancy, or staying proactive about your health, we’re here for every age and
stage.
Chiropractic care is a noninvasive, drug-free approach to managing discomfort and supporting mobility.
Adjustments focus on the root cause of pain and tension, helping your body function and heal the way it
was designed to. Many people choose chiropractic as part of their long-term wellness routine. For some, it
may even serve as an alternative to more invasive treatments.
We care for people of all ages and activity levels. Whether you’re active, expecting, recovering, or
maintaining your routine, chiropractic adjustments may help you move more comfortably and feel more like
yourself.
Targeted, hands-on pressure aims to realign joints, reduce nerve interference, and relieve
tension. This
helps improve mobility and allows the body to function more efficiently. Chiropractic at its
core, this
technique supports long-term wellness by addressing the root causes of pain and imbalance. For
many
patients, it may offer a path to relief without relying on medication or invasive procedures.
Who it’s for Athletes and Weekend Warriors, Office Workers, After an
Accident
We use gentle chiropractic adjustments for the shoulders, wrists, knees, and other extremity
joints to
support proper alignment, posture, and whole-body function. By improving joint motion and
reducing tension,
these adjustments may help ease discomfort, improve mobility, and promote better movement
patterns. For
patients recovering from minor injuries as a result of an accident or managing chronic joint
issues,
chiropractic care can be a supportive tool as they navigate next steps with their broader care
team,
including physical therapists, orthopedists, or primary care providers.
Who it’s for Children, Older Adults, Individuals Recovering from Injuries, Any
Needing a More Gentle Adjustment
Activator-assisted
adjustments
use a small handheld instrument to deliver gentle, targeted pressure to specific areas of the
spine or
joints. This low-force technique is ideal for those who need a more delicate approach,
including young
children, older adults, and individuals recovering from injuries. The activator tool helps
improve spinal
alignment, reduce nerve interference, and support better mobility without the need for
twisting or
high-impact movements. It’s a widely used method that offers precise care while supporting
comfort,
safety, and healing.
Who it’s for Office Workers, Workers in Physically Demanding Roles, Children
& Teens
Posture affects everything from how you move to how you feel. During a postural and movement
assessment, we observe how you sit, stand, walk, and perform everyday motions to identify
imbalances, compensations, or strain patterns. These assessments are especially helpful for
people who spend long hours at a desk, work in physically demanding environments, or are still
growing and developing, such as children and teens. By understanding your movement habits, we
can recommend simple changes to your posture, workspace, or daily routine. These changes may
help reduce tension, improve mobility, and prevent future discomfort. Small adjustments can lead
to meaningful improvements in how your body functions and feels each day.
Who it’s for Office Workers, Caregivers, Seniors
Small, intentional changes in your daily habits can have a lasting impact on your comfort and
mobility. We
offer personalized guidance to help you support your spine and joints at home, at work, and
during your
regular routines. Whether you sit at a desk, lift and carry throughout the day, or are
navigating the
physical changes that come with age, we focus on practical strategies you can implement right
away. From
adjusting your workstation setup to improving your sleep posture or lifting techniques, our
ergonomic and
lifestyle recommendations are designed to reduce strain, prevent recurring issues, and help you
feel better
every day.
Who it’s for Children & Teens
Children grow fast, and their spines grow right along with them. Our pediatric and family care
uses gentle,
age-appropriate techniques to support healthy spinal alignment and nervous system function
throughout every
stage of childhood. From newborns experiencing colic or infant reflux to toddlers learning to
walk and
school-aged children dealing with growing pains, ear infections, or tech neck, we tailor our
care to meet
your child’s unique needs. For teens balancing sports, screen time, and stress, chiropractic
care can help
support better posture, mobility, and comfort. Our goal is to help your child move, grow, and
thrive with
greater confidence while giving parents peace of mind.
Pregnancy brings rapid physical changes that can lead to joint discomfort, lower back pain, and
postural
shifts. Our doctors offer gentle chiropractic care designed to support comfort, spinal
alignment, and
overall mobility throughout pregnancy. Regular care during this time may help reduce tension,
ease strain on
joints and muscles, and promote better function as your body adapts to each stage of pregnancy.

Dr. Anthony Pulice became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2022 when he began serving residents in the Allen Park area, where he continues doing the work he finds so gratifying as a chiropractor and clinic director.
“I find it extremely rewarding to share my knowledge and experiences with patients searching for a healthier lifestyle,” he says. “I feel one of the best things about being a doctor of chiropractic is witnessing the transformation we see in our patients. In my experience, it is not uncommon to have a patient say ‘I feel better already’ after their first adjustment.”
A product of the Midwest rich with outdoor activities that included lakes, parks, and mountain bike trails, Dr. P was very active as a young adult who regularly saw a chiropractor, which allowed him to continue with an active outdoors lifestyle.
That lifestyle continues today as his family, which includes a Great Dane named Sula, enjoys hiking, boating, four-wheeling, and sitting next to a campfire with friends. “Sula goes everywhere with us and gets a chiropractic adjustment by a veterinarian with special animal training,” he says.
Dr. P earned his doctorate from Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Ga., after having received degrees in science and business at Schoolcraft College in Livonia.
“As a young boy I suffered a rib injury that resulted in scar tissue and adhesion,” he says. “This led to costochondritis and chest pain as a 21-year-old. After receiving weekly adjustments, the pain resolved, but I needed to know more about the power of a chiropractic adjustment.”
And what a power it is. “I was working for a wonderful chiropractic mentor in Redford in the 2000s and, as part of our reexamination, the last question was “Has anything changed that we haven’t talked about yet?’ The patient replied, ‘I used to pray for one day without pain, and now I get to pray for other reasons because I have many days without pain.’ I’ve never forgotten her words and appreciation for our office.”
Dr. P has worked previously in Westland, Redford, Dearborn, Warren, and Chesterfield.
In Case You Didn’t Know
If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, Dr. P would love to sit down with musicians Harry Chapin and Stevie Nicks. “Chapin was gone too soon but changed the world and how we look at it, and as far as Stevie Nicks is concerned, who doesn’t love her music?” he says. His other guests would include Dr. Sid E. Williams and Dr. Fred Gerretzen.
“Williams was president of Life University during the years of my study and was a great visionary who had wisdom and perspective that I understand on a higher level after two decades of private practice,” Dr. P says. “Gerretzen was a chiropractor and pioneer who founded The Joint Chiropractic and revolutionized the way we look at our health and well-being and brought the power of the chiropractic adjustment to a convenient, friendly, and affordable level.”
A book that has influenced Dr. P. is Forks Over Knives: The Plant-Based Way to Health by Gene Stone. “It’s a nice entry-level book on how to eat smarter and why consuming animal products is, in the long run, hard on your body and harder on the environment,” he says.
Dr. P says he always keeps his refrigerator stocked with fresh free-range chicken eggs from his father’s small chicken operation, as well as plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Dr. Richard Flusty joined The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2023 when he began serving residents in the Detroit area, where he relishes the opportunity to do the work he finds so rewarding.
“One of the best things about working in the chiropractic field is that I help patients deal with health needs naturally, without drugs or surgery,” he says. “I enjoy meeting a diverse group of patients.”
Dr. Rick, as his patients call him, spent nearly his entire life in Michigan. He previously worked in Warren, Farmington Hills, Livonia, Taylor, Grand Blanc, and Bad Axe.
His wife’s name is Wendy and she is a graduate of Boston University. “She is a wonderful mother to our two adult children and grandmother to our grandchildren.”
Dr. Rick has a mocha schnoodle – a schnauzer and poodle mix. He enjoys being a homeowner and working around the house and yard. He also likes to watch college basketball and listen to music, and he has a passion for watches.
After earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in health optics, Dr. Rick graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing. He earned a Doctorate at Life Chiropractic College, now Life University, in Marietta, Ga.
“A neighbor of mine became a chiropractor and told me about how chiropractic helps patients without using drugs or surgery,” he says. “I've seen people, including family members, suffer from various ailments that could have been helped with chiropractic. I felt that this was a career that would be perfect for me.”
Having worked in the field throughout Michigan, Dr. Rick sees how universal the benefits are. “I found that no matter what occupation a person has and which physical ailments they’re suffering from, chiropractic is a solution to be explored,” he says. “I admire The Joint's formula that makes chiropractic affordable and accessible to everyone.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Rick always keeps a variety of fruit and cheese on hand. “Especially berries, bananas, and pears.”
If he could gather the ideal dinner guests, Dr. Rick has a famous four in mind. “I can't imagine a better dinner party than reuniting the Beatles – Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the late John Lennon and George Harrison.”
Some of Dr. Rick’s greatest experiences occurred while traveling. “The coolest was viewing – from afar – the Etna volcano in Italy, and second was taking a helicopter ride over the Alaskan ice glaciers.”
Dr. Rick’s favorite reading material includes Watches: A Guide by Hodinkee. “As a true watch enthusiast, it’s a book I love to read over and over.”
If he wrote his autobiography, he would entitle it The Life and Times of Trusty Flusty. “Trusty Flusty is a nickname I have had my entire life and I often refer to it when people ask me to repeat my unusual last name.”
When he considers a helpful piece of advice he’s received, Dr. Rick remembers his grandfather. “Whenever things tended to get too serious, my Grandpa Flusty always reminded me to keep things simple and make sure you have some fun.”
His advice for others is similar: “Life is too short, so find the good in every situation.”

Dr. Nicholas Duchene became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2023 when he began serving residents in Allen Park doing the work he finds so rewarding.
“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is being able to restore function for patients so they can continue to do the things they love to do,” he says. “The second best thing is the ability to alleviate pain naturally.”
Dr. Nick, as his patients call him, is excited to provide care locally to a very diverse population.
Originally from Macomb County, Michigan, Dr. Nick previously worked in Royal Oak and in Columbus, Ohio.
He is married to Amy Young, a professional bodybuilder, and they have two children. The family has a hairless sphynx cat named Glatzkopf.
Dr. Nick attended Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. He got a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
A second-generation chiropractor, Dr. Nick received his first adjustment when he was only 10 minutes old. After working at his father's chiropractic clinic in Clinton Township during high school, he witnessed all of the positive benefits of chiropractic care and decided to join the profession.
The most memorable experience he’s had as a chiropractor involved a patient with a long-term low back injury who wanted to dance at his daughter's wedding. “He was unable to stand for more than two minutes without pain,” Dr. Nick says. “After a few months of treatment, he was able to do an entire father-daughter dance at her wedding.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
He always has Oreos on hand. “They’re the best midnight snack,” he says.
If he could plan the ideal dinner party including a famous guest, Dr. Nick would choose Mother Teresa. “Her dedication to humanitarian work and compassion for the less fortunate would bring a selfless and inspiring energy to the table,” he says. “I'd be eager to hear her perspective on kindness, empathy, and the power of small acts of love.”
The greatest experience he ever had was volunteering and providing chiropractic care to the less fortunate in India. “It was so amazing to be able to help those who have absolutely nothing and to see how much joy family brings to life, over material goods,” he says.
Dr. Nick’s favorite book is The Bible and his second favorite is The Alchemist, because “it’s all about knowing what you’re looking for, desiring it, and working towards achieving your goals,” he says.
The best life hack he’s ever received was “measure twice, cut once.”
Dr. Nick’s best advice for others is “Take care of your spine; you only get one.”

I’ve been a patient for over a year and will probably be one until the day I die. When I first went to The Joint I had a lot of lower back troubles that were paired with a migraine that would bring me to tears. Now I go once a week for a weekly adjustment and haven’t had those painful back troubles nor the migraines. Coming to The Joint has truly been life changing for me. I was super hesitant about joining another membership place where I’d just be another member number, that is so not the case here.

I'm in pain most days, so I was actively searching for a decent chiropractor. At my first appointment, I arriving a few minutes early without my paperwork, due to my workout went late. The receptionist was very snippy. She demanded my DL, then informed me that they don't take Medicare. So, she only wanted to see my age? I never asked to bill to insurance. She was just so rude from the minute I walked into the door. If this is the first impression of this place, I will go elsewhere. So, I excused myself and cancelled the appointment.
