Dr. Kimberly Klein began her health career with her undergraduate studies at Florida State University (GO NOLES!), where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She then moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue her education in chiropractic health at University of Western States. During her studies, she developed a love for yoga and decided to deepen her practice by becoming a certified yoga teacher. She believes that regular chiropractic care should be incorporated with healthy eating and regular exercise in order to live strong and healthy.
Dr. Kimberly treats each patient as an individual and tailors treatment to each person’s unique needs. She takes a gentle, well-rounded approach and utilizes a variety of techniques to match the patient’s needs and comfort level. She is skilled in diversified high-velocity adjustments, gentle mobilization, soft tissue massage, cranial sacral therapy, activator technique, and exercise therapy. She is also certified in a chiropractic technique specifically designed for pregnant patients, the Webster technique and is in the process of completing additional training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Dr. Kimberly works with patient’s to uncover the root cause of their condition and in addition to in-office treatment; she prescribes exercise therapy and counsels patients on lifestyle and ergonomic changes.
When Dr. Kimberly is not treating patients, she is out having fun in Oregon’s natural playground. She loves to mountain bike, ski, surf, kayak, and hike on her free time.
Dr. Brad was born in raised San Jose, California. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose in 2008. After graduation he and his family moved to Kentucky where he worked for 4 years. He loved Kentucky but felt the pull to come back to the west coast and be closer to family. He has worked as a clinician at Palmer College of Chiropractic West and is currently a Clinical Educator at the University of Western States. He has been with The Joint Chiropractic as a part time Doctor Since May 2019 and totally loves it!
Dr. Brad became interested in becoming chiropractor after learning about chiropractic philosophy and how the body can heal itself when everything is working the way it should. He often says "Chiropractic isn't always the first choice for care but it often is the RIGHT choice!" He loves helping people make the most of their life and staying as active as possible. He has completed the course work for the Diplomat of Chiropractic Rehab. He also loves working with pediatric patients and has had great success with patients injured from athletics at all levels.
In his free time, Dr. Brad and his wife spend time chasing after their 4 children and exploring their new area and finding out which PDX doughnut shop really is the best. He also is an amateur wood turner and baker!
Dr. Michael Cheung was born and raised in the suburbs of Vancouver (the Canadian one) in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. In 2006, Dr. Mike suffered a low back injury while snowboarding which resulted nagging back pain that just would not go away.
After spending years of trying to reduce the chronic back pain with stretching and exercise, he was introduced to chiropractic at 16 years of age by his older sister, who is also now a practicing chiropractor. Not only did chiropractic help him live without his low back pain, but he also noticed other benefits, such as deeper sleep (due to no pain!) and, as a result, better workouts in the gym.
Inspired by the changes he saw with his personal experience with chiropractic, he decided to spend his undergraduate studies in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and subsequently made the move out to San Francisco to pursue his chiropractic degree. Dr. Mike graduated with honors from Life Chiropractic College West with a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2018 and has been with The Joint Chiropractic since he moved to the Portland area.
As an avid powerlifter, Dr. Mike is heavily invested in knowing how to make the human body operate at peak performance. He loves working with athletes of all ages and levels so that they can perform at their best. He believes that the balance between stress and self-care is the key to optimal health, and having regular chiropractic care will definitely help combat some of the stresses of everyday life, work and play.
When he is not in the gym training for a powerlifting competition or chasing his fur-baby Finnegan with his wife, Dr. Jacqueline (also a DC!), you can find him getting regularly adjusted at The Joint Chiropractic clinics in the PNW!
