Originally from Pearl City, Hawaii, Dr. Vernon and his partner have moved coast to coast multiple times until settling in the PNW. He attended Clark College and obtained his undergraduate degree in Pre-Nursing. Born and raised in Iowa, Dr. Kathryn Sherman joined The Joint at the beginning of 2017 first starting in Austin, Texas before moving to Vancouver, Washington to take over as Clinic Director at the Cascade Park location. Before joining The Joint, Dr. Sherman spent her first year in practice at a clinic in Waterloo, Iowa.

Dr. Sherman attended undergrad at the University of Northern Iowa to focus on pre-med, where she earned her degree in Biology as well as minors in Chemistry and Earth Science, and was also a member of the women's rugby team. She then went on to attend chiropractic college at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic in February 2016.

For Dr. Sherman, the two best things about being in the Chiropractic field are being able to help people achieve better health and well-being, and knowing she is helping to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
