“It’s both an honor and privilege to take care of people in this environment. Every encounter and each interpersonal engagement are an opportunity to make a difference. It is my job to ensure that chiropractic care helps you get to where you want to be and stay there, and the way I do that is by empathic listening, addressing your questions and concerns, and developing a viable plan for your care that is best suited for your healthcare needs.
I take this responsibility very seriously, and I strive to make sure every patient is treated and feels like a family member, not just during their first visit, but on every visit.” - Dr. Wade Siegel, D.C.
My name is Luz Amaya, pronounced Looze, Spanish for the word Light. I was named after my grandmother who passed away not too long before I was born. I was born in Santa Clara, California and my parents moved to Phoenix, AZ when I was 5 and we have been here ever since. I am bilingual thanks to my parents.
I started working at The Joint Chiropractic - Gateway Crossing clinic in April of 2017.The best thing about working for The Joint is seeing people get so much relief after getting adjusted. Being there to watch people as they progress is such a unique feeling. I see most of these patients on a weekly basis and even though I am not their doctor I have relationships with some of these patients and genuinely care for them.
Another thing I love about working for The Joint is being able to communicate with the Latin community who speak little to no English. Being bilingual is something I take lots of pride in. We have an awesome team, which I am so proud to be a part of.
A few things about me; I must have milk in my refrigerator. Why milk you may ask? Because cereal is my favorite. I can eat cereal for breakfast lunch and dinner. My perfect dinner party will include Tupac, Anne Frank, Selena, Sandra Cisneros, and my former English professor Mr. Peyote.
