Dr Scot Bennick is passionate about health and wellness. Unable to continue his mechanical engineering studies in college due to back pain and migraine headaches, "Dr Scot" regained his health (and life) with chiropractic care. While studying at Parker College, Dr Scot learned over a dozen healing modalities. He has been practicing in Sedona since 2000, Dr Scot is happy to be part of The Joint team.
James Howe, D.C was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in May of 1975. He attended Palmer Collage of Chiropractic Iowa graduating in December of 1985.
He was in private practice in Tempe, Arizona for four years. He then worked at various locations in the valley for the next 30 years.
Dr. Howe joined The Joint Chiropractic in August of 2020 at the Gateway Crossing location. The best part of being a chiropractor is helping people realize their best health potential.
Dr. Howe and his wife, Karen have been married for over 24 years. They have two daughters, a son and five grandchildren. They also have a West Highland Terrier, Duffy, that is full of ‘westitude’. His hobbies include singing with his wife and playing percussion.
Dr. Hershey was born and raised in Maryland where she attended University of Maryland and graduated with her bachelors degree in kinesiology. Shortly after, Dr. Hershey then moved to Iowa to attend Palmer college of Chiropractic. Dr. Hershey moved to the Phoenix area immediately after graduation.
Dr. Hershey looks forward to helping you and your loved ones achieve full expression of your nervous system through chiropractic. She hopes to share with her patients a belief that your body is innately powerful.
Dr. Hershey enjoys yoga, spending time with family, trying new things, and supporting local businesses in her free time.
Dr. Chase Vazquez grew up in Washington state, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Pre-Med at Western Washington University.
During his time at WWU, he worked full time and paid his tuition completely out of pocket, as well as volunteered as a youth soccer coach and high school wrestling coach. After completing his degree at WWU, he spent two years working in Physical Therapy and Chiropractic Clinics as an Exercise Rehab Specialist.
He received his Doctor of Chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Graduated with Academic Excellent honors, Summa Cumlade (3.91 GPA). Served as Class President. Victor Strang Philosophy Award Finalist.
In his free time while attending Palmer College, he organized multiple philanthropy events, including fundraisers for National Alliance for Mental Illness and local no kill animal shelters.
Recognized by the Uncommon Fellowship Foundation for his service to his community and unwavering willingness to lead and teach healthcare providers. For this recognition he received the Uncommon Fellow Award.
In addition, while at PCC he taught many classes at the Bachelor, Graduate and Doctorate level of education including: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Neuro-Muscular-Skeletal Diagnosis, Physical Diagnosis, Physical Therapy Techniques, Chiropractic Techniques
In his personal life, Dr. Vazquez enjoys traveling and the outdoors. Some of his most enjoyable traveling experience include two separate month long, 7500+ mile road tips around the country.
One saying Dr. Vazquez keeps close to heart is “humility and eagerness to serve”
Dr. Travis J. Wetzel, DC was born and raised in Badger, Iowa although Humboldt is where he spent much of his time growing up. He attended Iowa State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and health in 2013. Dr. Wetzel attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa from which he graduated cum laude in 2016. Dr. Wetzel worked as a teaching assistant while at Palmer helping to teach the younger students in the profession. He has furthered his own knowledge and training by taking extra courses that included McKenzie Method, Activator, FAKTR, Dynamic Taping, upper and lower extremity adjusting, Integrative Dry Needling, and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization to name a few. Dr. Wetzel worked as a personal trainer for some time and values staying healthy and active.
Upon receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Wetzel moved to Chandler, Arizona where he opened his own practice. After doing that for a while, he moved on to an integrative clinic in Chandler where he worked closely with several healthcare professionals including other chiropractors, doctors, physicians’ assistants, exercise therapists, and massage therapists. He has since joined The Joint as of August 2021.
Dr. Wetzel believes the best part of being in the chiropractic profession is being able to help people reach their goals of being healthier and staying healthier. There is no better feeling than being able to help a person get back to doing the things they enjoy with the people they love.
Typically, in his free time, Dr. Wetzel likes to spend time with friends and family, exercise, and watch some football (Go Cyclones!). When he has the opportunity, he also enjoys riding dirt bikes, motorcycles, getting out into nature, and archery.
Dr. Thanh Pham, D.C., was born in Vietnam and came to the United States when he was a young boy. He grew up in southern California. He joined The Joint Chiropractic family in September 2020.
He attended California State University – Long Beach and earned a Bachelor Science degree in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He has worked in clinics since 1998.
He enjoys caring for patients and assisting in their desire to achieve optimal wellness and health. He is excited to be working for The Joint Chiropractic offering affordable and convenient chiropractic care.
