Hi all! My name is Maria and I am your Lead Wellness Coordinator at The Joint Chiropractic – Gateway Crossing. I started off with The Joint as a part-time employee last January and quickly came to love my job as a Wellness Coordinator. Of course, I was ecstatic to become full-time and have the honor to help this clinic flourish. I am currently a full-time student at ASU and will be graduating in May of 2020 with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Afterwards, I will continue working with The Joint while I complete my graduate program in Substance Abuse and Addiction. As is evident by my background and future aspirations, my passion is to help people reach optimal health, whether that be mental or physical.
In my free time, I enjoy a good book, or anything related to true crime and horror. It may be surprising to some, but I have read over 1,000 books! I do not get to indulge in literature as much as I used to due to work and school, but it is still one of my favorite hobbies. I also love to travel, and my favorite destination so far has been Alaska. I had the opportunity to embark on a three-week kayaking expedition in Prince William Sound and it was an unforgettable experience. My one desire is to one day visit Bora Bora in French Polynesia and to witness the aurora borealis in Iceland. Overall, I am an adventurous soul and chiropractic care keeps my body healthy and ready for anything! Come on in and we will ensure you are happy, healthy, and, most importantly, well-adjusted so you too can start living life to its fullest!
