After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada), he moved to California to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles. Dr. Lee started practicing family chiropractic in California before moving to Phoenix, AZ in 2006. Upon moving to Arizona, Dr. Lee built and managed three multidisciplinary chiropractic offices in Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix, prior to his involvement with The Joint Chiropractic. In 2020 just before the pandemic, he moved up to Bellingham, Washington to help take care of his Dad who came down with Parkinsons. He spends his time between Washington and Arizona.

Through his professional journey, Dr. Lee has learned to serve all types of people from babies to grandparents and a range of cases including but not limited to headaches, migraine relief, pinched nerves, sciatica pain, neck pain and lower back pain through the use of manual manipulation. Dr. Lee is well versed in Diversified, Gonstead and Activator techniques. Dr. Lee's passion is helping others achieve their goals by maximizing the connection between the brain and the body through a well-adjusted spine. I scheduled an appointment online. When I arrived they ask for my ID. Once they saw my age they refused to treat me because I am "Medicare eligible". In other words I'm 65 yo.i have great insurance and offered to pay cash. They were more than willing to see me if i was in a car accident or a work comp injury, it shows what they really care about. Pretty close to discrimination, beware if you are what they call Medicare eligible. It does not say anything on their website regarding age lol.

I've been jumping around several locations whome all been great but ive been coming to this location the past few months even though its a bit further than other locations near my home. Ive finally found the consistency of adjustment from Dr Rick that ive been looking for and it makes the extra 10 min drive worth it. Dr Rick really listens and make sure i get the right adjustment based on how i feel. Rebecca up front is also awesome and has always been very welcoming and helpful. I come weekly for maintenance and my adjustments always put me in a good mood entering the weekend an really sets the tone for the rest of the week. Joint chiropractic is great . However, I love this location in particular . I have had several issues with my back . Other locations haven’t been able to provide relief . Dr.Rick was able to help provide relief & was patient enough to address my concerns . This will be the only location and only Dr I see !

Definitely the best place!! I came for the first time on December 13th feeling really bad, I had woken up super sore in my left shoulder, I suffered a lot that day at work because of the pain, I remembered that I had seen The Join Chiropractor at Gilbert location, (Gilbert and Warner) and I went there, it has been the best decision of my life, my doctor is super nice and kind, he treated me super well, believe me, I walked crooked and came out straight! I have been back twice a week since then and I don't want to stop going, I can't remember the last time I felt this good, I had a tingling in my arms for 3 months, well it has gone away, first the one on my left hand went away and now the one on my right hand, wow highly recommended, you have to come don't think about it anymore, you'll love it, it will be the easiest decision of your life!

Was disappointing, I had gone for a first time visit to try and get relief in my tailbone or I guess S1 joint. But I had spent more time filling out paperwork . I explained the problem , then did a few moves to show mobility . Then they cracked my mid back ,but didn’t make any moves to elevate the ache in my lower back. Was told I had to keep coming back a few times before they got to actually doing this simple crack. Even equate it like going to dentist . Then on my way out got the monthly recurring plans mentioned again. I know the walk in special is cheap and I wasn’t expecting a lot. But I see as the opportunity for a business to convince me I should keep going there . And when I can’t get relief and told I’ll need multiple sessions for any relief , I’m not sold . And to be told that something is tight when the whole experience was 5 min long, how would I be expected to even relax? Was just disappointing. Will continue to try home remedies .

I started coming to the Joint Chiropractic located in the Gilbert town square and it has been a great experience. I orignally came in without an appointment and in tremendous back pain. I was immediately greeted by Rebecca at the front desk. She was vey kind and informative. After the sign in procces was done I immeditly was introduced to DR Rick. I explainded what kind of back pain I was in and he started making adjustment to me and explained some stretched I could do to help relieve the pain. Within a few visits my back pain was gone. Since then I have been coming in for weekly visits and my back has never felt better. Dr Rick and Rebecca always make me feel welcome. This has turned into the highlight of my week. We love the joint. Originally got my membership while traveling and staying in Vegas, I was in so much pain and they were open. I found out they had a location where I lived at the time North Carolina. So I got a membership and never stopped for eight years now. We are a military family and have driven cross-country at least 20 times. I literally plan our road trip routes where I know there are Joint locations. So nice to know, you can get an adjustments along the way while driving over 48 hours straight. Today we came in after a 12 Hour Overnight drive to visit family. We came into The Joint that we visited last Christmas. The doctor there remembered us from 6 months ago. He also was able to get movement out of my spine I haven’t had in a while. Help my daughter who was in great pain. So nice to know we don’t have to wait a week to see an dr when we get home. We can find a joint location most anywhere. Everywhere we go we meet great doctors and staff at The Joint, and have had great chiropractic experiences the 8 years I’ve had a membership. Even had a great conversation with the secretary for 10 minutes before we left. Huge fans of The Joint.

The management at this location is certainly untrustworthy and questionable indeed. After calling a month ago, to cancel the automatic monthly services, I was certainly surprised to see a new charge on my account. Confused, after I was aware, I immediately called this facility She claims of no knowledge of my cancellation, and proceeded to say that the conversation never took place. This is an outrageous claim. After catching her in lies, and having her back track from having NO knowledge of the conversation, to that “she never said that” - I admit that I let my anger get the best of me. But when you trust a facility, and that trust is broken, it’s frustrating. The chiropractor who helped me and worked on my pain, is and was completely honest and professional. A great man .. BUT the MANAGER here, from my experience, cannot be trusted .. So … take my advice when dealing with her, write EVERYTHING down. Dates, times, conversation , everything when dealing with her. I truly feel for the kind employees there, And it saddens me that they are under this type of manipulation, dishonest, “superior” behavior of a manager. Dishonesty never stops at one place, or with one person. It’s quite a shame. * I’m getting a call log mailed to me, from my phone company, to even show that there WAS a conversation/ call made to this facility , from last month.

Dr Lee and his team at this location are great. Awesome service and very knowledgable. The only minor gripe is the archaic nature of their check in systems and the ability to manage your account. This is not on the franchisee though that is on the Joint as a company. Go to franchise stores like this one as their care level is much higher. Go see Dr Lee or Forrest at this location.

Interesting business philosophy with this location, to say the least. On Sundays, this location closes at 3:00PM - I arrived at 2:35PM to be told that the amount of people they had waiting excessively their hours of operation. There were 4 people. Unfortunately, the management of this location is not mindful of people driving 20 minutes to see during business hours. Good luck with the ‘Customers need us, not we need customers’ mindset. I cancelled my membership and left.

The chiropractors are great, leaving a one star because if you go past the billing cycle and mean to cancel their service, they will refuse to give you a refund. They want me to pay for a service I haven’t used and want to cancel. It’s only been 2 days since the bill was taken out of my account, not one time have I gone in this month. Absolutely ridiculous. I’d recommend finding a chiropractor company that cares about their customers and not just racking in as much as possible each billing cycle. I would have possibly started the service again, but definitely not now. I run a service based company with monthly billing, and if one of my customers wants a refund for the month and no services have been rendered, it will immediately be refunded.

This Joint location is very nice. I would highly suggest Dr. Stuart, he is knowlegdable, pleasant, and helps explain his observations to you. I have always struggled with my neck and shoulders locking up. In the past the Chiropractors I have tried are so quick to adjust you and get you out the door. That's not the case with Dr. Stuart, he takes an initiative in finding the best solutions for you, and understanding your body. I leave with relief in my neck and shoulders without hurting feeling like I got adjusted wrong and pushed out the door. He even goes above and beyond in researching or looking for alternatives for you. I feel he really cares about your body/health. I have been satisfied with my results here and will definitely be returning.

Dr. Rick/ Martin and other chiropractor have worked with me. I am service member and injured my back working with military aircraft. You can’t beat multiple visits for the price. Been coming here for 4+ years for adjustments. Appreciate the staff as friendly however they continue to lose my information, billing inaccuracies, and never seem to know what’s going on. It’s one star because this is the 3rd time they lost my personal information and one has to wonder where does the private HIPPA protected data go? I have a chiropractor that I go to, but they are only open Mon - Thurs. So when I needed an emergency adjustment on the weekend, The Joint was there for me. The chiropractor was great friendly and helped me feel better. The low review is for the unfriendly yellow blonde receptionist that worked on 10/29 around 130. I walked in and she just stared blankly at me. I had to initiate communication and ask if I could do a walk in. She was extremely rude and condescending the entire interaction. She had such a bad attitude. I almost left before being seen, I felt that uncomfortable but also I really wanted to see the chiropractor. The actual interaction with the chiropractor was great and after my appointment the chiropractor had convinced me to sign out for more sessions and I was excited to. However when I got to the front desk. She was rude again. Very condescending and just stand offish. So I paid quickly and left so I didn’t have to interact with her another second. The staff at the chandler location are way more friendly and welcoming.

They spend a decent amount of time with you your first visit and then get you to agree to try it for 2 months at friggin $80 a month (doesn’t include the cost of your first visit) but every visit after your initial is maybe a couple minutes at most. On my second visit, the guy just cracked my back and then said, “Alright, have a nice day.” I honestly thought he was kidding because it had been about 45 seconds and didn’t realize until he walked back to his computer that he was serious. The best part: when I called today (end of my 2 months) to cancel, the lady said I had to come in to cancel and while I was asking why I couldn’t just tell them over the phone she cut me off, said, “—Okay bye.” And hung up on me. For reference, this might actually be the first bad review I’ve ever left on Google. I’m not 100% certain that I didn’t leave one years ago that I forgot about so if you find one out there, just know, my intent is not to lie. To the best of my memory this is the first. That’s how unhappy I am with this biz. Including a pic of my keychain membership scanner to prove this is not a bogus review.

I am a member of the joint but I typically visit the Santan office. It was Memorial Day weekend and so I tried a new location near my home. What a mistake. This location is still stuck in the Covid phase of the world. I walked in naïvely without reading the sign that required a mask. That was my fault! However when I approached the receptionist desk no one stopped me to point out that I was maskless. I scanned my membership card as normal and went back to where the chiropractic doctor was to sit and wait my turn. The doctor explained loudly “oh no that’s not how we do it here. You have to wait in the other room. Every place is different!” Awkward! I then proceeded to wait quite a long time as the doctor rambled on in personal conversation with his patient. I then began to think “why does everybody have a mask on here?” After waiting about 10 minutes and feeling awkwardly uncomfortable, I left. I am a sold out fan of the Santan office. However, this office comes off as rude, awkward and cold. Good luck to you all.

This place is like the Jiffy Lube of chiropractic offices. They claim first time patients take an hour or so, yet my first exam lasted about 5 minutes before I was adjusted. It was during the actual adjustment that they realized I had undiagnosed osteoarthritis, due to the “glue” in my joints as they called it, and recommended I sign up for the monthly plan so I can come in frequently to treat the OA. Conveniently, the frequency they wanted to see me was more than the monthly plan covered, so I would need to pay extra for the last few visits of every month. My chief complaint when I had filled out paperwork was my lower back, which was never even touched in that first visit. Mid upper back and up was all they worked on, maybe to sell me harder on my need for more visits, I’ll never know. I went back twice, and they started doing more, popped my hips and did the leg pulls among other stuff, and finally started working my lower back, though it was uncomfortable and I let them know that but they said it was normal. Still, I realized the daily pain was getting worse. As it turned out, I had a herniated disc near my lower spine, and per my doctor at the time, the adjustments were aggravating it. I only found out it was herniated after it ruptured when I was lifting a box at work and I collapsed. I won’t blame The Joint for my herniated disc rupturing, but I will caution others against going to a place that doesn’t take thorough exams prior to adjustments. If this had been a chiropractor that took xrays, or put more emphasis on knowing what is wrong before working on someone, my herniated disc may have been caught sooner or treated properly. Instead I had to fight with them just to cancel my membership when my Dr determined I should not be going to them for adjustments anymore. They wanted to charge me two additional months despite me not being able to go, and no one had ever told me I was locked in for three months when I signed up. And before this is made out to be a complaint about money, I offered to continue paying the months I was locked into if someone else could go, but they made it clear it was non-transferable. So they wanted my money, despite a medical dr stating it would worsen my condition if I went, but when I suggest a solution where they got their money and I wasn’t just wasting it, they refused. Moral of the story, if you have the money to come here, you have the money to see a real Chiropractor and get an initial visit with xrays and a truly thorough examination. If you don’t have serious issues and just need a quick pop every now and then, then take your chances on the Joint, but please - if you are in a lot of pain, and think it might be serious, GO. SOMEWHERE. ELSE. Get the care you really need, not a quick pop.

I found this chiropractor office on Yelp so I gave them a call. I spoke with the front desk gal named Shy. She didn’t seem welcoming but I put it aside and continued asking her questions. I am 40 weeks pregnant and I specifically asked her if they do adjustments and alignments on pregnant women. She quickly answered yes of course we work on pregnant women often. I said great I am 40 weeks pregnant so I was just calling to make sure. Again she reassured me it isn’t an issue. I asked if I could make an appointment and she said they do walk in only. I followed the address provided on their site and entered it into the GPS. My GPS took me to the address and the building was named “CHIROPRACTOR” so I assumed I was in the right place. Walked up to the door and the entire suite was emptied and locked. I called spoke with Shy , not once but THREE times before actually finding the correct suite. Not only was she unfriendly but she was extremely unhelpful. I pretty much just had to find the place on my own. I walked in and wasn’t greeted I asked for the restroom (again I’m 40 weeks pregnant and it took me 15 minutes to find the office) I went in out of soap and toilet paper. I then informed her the bathroom was out of supplies. She didn’t respond she didn’t even acknowledge me. I just stood there waiting for her to reply. She handed me a clipboard (since I was considered a new client) and asked me to fill it out. The very detailed yet expected paperwork was very repetitive and took me a total of 30 minutes to fill out. At this point it took me 15 minutes to drive there 15 minutes to actually find the address and another 30 minutes to fill out paperwork. I was the only one in the entire office so I wasn’t rushed thankfully. I returned the paperwork and sat back down. Now the chiropractor came out extremely rude and first thing he said was “I can’t work on you” he said “you’re too far along in your pregnancy and I don’t want to risk anything” I was shocked- I just spent so much time and energy to be rejected. I told him kindly well I called this morning and asked about it and was told I can walk in and be adjusted and he quickly and very defensively responded with “ well I didn’t tell you that” as if he wasn’t in communication with his employees. I found that to be the final straw to break my back. I was still respectful but clearly agitated. How can a company have such terrible service with their clients and e so rude and unprofessional. I would never refer them to anyone- ever. If another location was better I will never know or care to find out. I had Ana emotional breakdown wen I got to my car because of how terrible the experience was from the first call to leaving the building. Long story short don’t waste your time here. Trust your gut if you are noticing bad service from the start

I have been going to the joint for a while. I was having back spasms all week long. I was finally able to get in after work. I walked in with 40 minutes left before they closed. The doctor would not see me because, I was concerned a walk in. I was concerned a walk in because I was not on a monthly plan, I was considered a new patient, even though I had been there plenty of times. If a person is in pain, and needs help, I don't think that the time the person shows up, or if they are new, should madder, you help that person. So will never go back to this place, or recommend it to anyone.

Do not go here. If you like the used car sales treatment, then you'll love this. And when i was not receptive to this long term cash payment plan when my insurance pays 100% of visits at legit chiropractic offices, this guy literally pushed down on my head very hard causing me pain in the pinched nerve of my neck. Then suggests he's not going to treat me unless I run out and get xrays. When I say I've been there and done that he, after causing me pain already, walked over and pushed me in the shoulder like I was a football player getting blocked? Why? More intimidation? This place disgusts me.

I had a rib out went in at a level 4 pain woke up at a level 10. I thought after some time it would go away, after 1.5 weeks later I’m still at that level 10. Worse chiropractor I’ve ever gone to. This place focuses way more on quantity over quality. I’ll never be back.

First time trying this location and I’m so impressed I rushed after work I was treated with smiles. Taylor took great care of me she was patient and listened to all my concerns about pain adjusted me and I immediately felt some relief. I work 8-12 hr shifts on my feet and I’ve tried float spas and massages but this helps so much and Taylor and staff is an added bonus

Joint Chiropractic in Gilbert is awesome. All the receptionist are very polite and professional. You in and out, no appointments needed, with very convenient hours. The Doctors have a good Bedside manner and give strong Manuel adjustments! I'm a Chiropractic advocate and have been getting adjusted for over thirty years. I have a high bar when it comes to adjustments. There is a closer location but I prefer the staff at the Gilbert location...

After waiting for 30 minutes, some lady came in who had been there earlier and expected to be next in line, when she returned. I made a comment that I was next line and have been there here for 30 minutes already. So if i understand this correctly, you can come and come back and be next in line, in my book, that wrong. To top it off, the front desk lady was out of line and made a poor judgement to allow this and was rude to me as I Ieft. I won't be back.

Went in for sciatic pain. While I was there the chiropractor discussed my ailments briefly but didn’t listen to me all the way, and immediately adjusted my back. Didn't really do much with my lower back or sciatic (which is why I was there), just a small adjustment on my lower back. When he made the adjustment- the pain seared through my sciatic so bad and I let him know immediately, so he moved onto adjust my middle spine and it seared with pain through my ribs. I have been to chiropractors for years and have never had so much pain after going. I left in so much pain that I could barely walk. My sciatic is now burning more, and now my ribs burn. It was advised by them that I go in a few more times over the next week however I'm very nervous based on the way I'm feeling now. I feel much worse than I did when I first went in. Now, not only does my lower back/sciatic hurt more but now I have rib pain and it’s almost unbearable. I won't be returning.

The passive aggressive receptionist was unable to find my records as an established patient (which by the way, you are legally required to keep) and therefore turned me away (45 minutes prior to closing) stating I would have to have an hour long new patient consultation in order to get a chiropractic adjustment. She must have been more interested in going home than helping people. I wonder if the Dr. knew she was turning people away? If you are closed and not taking more patients, lock the door and stop answering the phone.

Dr. Stuart was fantastic. I've been dealing with a spinal problem since an injury in high school and been seeing a chiropractor regularly. Since i moved here, however, everyone I've been to has been sub par. This lead to not visiting as often and ultimately cause me to start having a lot of pain down my leg due to thr sciatic nerve. I sought the help of conventional doctors and they diagnosed me with a herniated disk (no MRI) and sent me to Physical Therapy. However, I knew it had something to do with my injury and my spine alignment. Dr. Stuart knew what it was right away and gave me a TON of information on what it was, why it was, how to fix it, why what I was doing wasn't good, and the steps i should take. Gave me a quick adjustment, exercises, and some different pointers on what to do. Will definitely be returning to fix my issue and highly recommend Dr. Stuart to anyone needed a fix.

Love the docs here. I have been to other Joint locations in the valley and this is my favorite. Keep up the good work. I read some of the other comments and I think those folks need to keep in perspective of what the concept of the Joint Chiropractic is. If you need more of a full service type of chiropractor with massage, etc. this isn't the place for you. Go to another chiro that charges $49 + a visit! Be realistic folks.

The application they have only asked for a few pieces of information in pink which the girl up front confirmed that's all I need to provide. The girl up front continued to ask me for all of my personal information. It got to the point where I felt uncomfortable. If a group or organization places a person on the front lines that has poor communication skills I don't believe they deserve my business

Went in for lower back pain. While I was there the chiropractor discussed my ailments. Adjusted my neck and my back. Didn't really do much with my lower back. I left feeling ok , however, shortly thereafter I felt nauseous and had a headache. I read that this was normal. Over the last week (since my visit) I can barely turn my neck to the right and I've had splitting headaches daily. It was advised by them that I go in two more times over the last week however I'm very nervous based on the way I'm feeling now. I feel much worse than I did when I first went in. Now, not only does my lower back hurt but my neck hurts and the headaches are almost unbearable. I won't be returning.
