Dr. Susanne Twigg, D.C. graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1999 with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She is originally from Missouri where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biology from Southwest Missouri State University. After completing her degrees in the year 2000, Dr. Twigg moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she landed her first chiropractic job and she has never looked back since.
Dr. Twigg has a natural and hands-on approach to healthcare. She believes the best part of being a chiropractor in Phoenix, AZ is the reward of using a noninvasive approach to help patients in need. Dr. Twigg is experienced in a variety of different chiropractic techniques that have allowed her to tailor her adjusting style to each individual patient. These include adjusting the joint complex of the spine, stretching and exercises. She is also able to perform these techniques on a wide range of patients including infants, pregnant women, athletes, grandparents and those suffering from sciatica pain, neck pain, lower back pain, and migraines.
Dr. Twigg has been with The Joint Chiropractic Phoenix since January of 2016. With several years of adjusting, her passion for chiropractic comes from allowing the body to function at its highest potential. In her free time, Dr. Twigg is a committed crossfitter and is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. She loves being outdoors, riding motorcycles, going to concerts, listening to music and spending time with her wife, Paula.
Dr. Bill Nelson, D.C. joined The Joint in February 2017, becoming Phoenix Arizona’s local chiropractor at the Moon Valley location. The St. Louis, Missouri native graduated from Logan University in 2000, where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree before moving to Phoenix, Arizona where he currently lives and practices.
Dr. Nelson finds the best thing about being a chiropractor is having the ability to naturally change people’s lives. Chiropractic’s holistic and natural benefits is what first got him interested in the profession, and educating others on its benefits is what motivates him to continue his work.
Dr. Nelson has learned to serve a range of patients from infants to grandparents, all with a range of cases including neck pain, migraine relief, sciatica pain, and upper and lower back pain all through the use of manual manipulation.
When Dr. Nelson is not working at The Joint Chiropractic in Phoenix, Arizona, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and their two children, or playing softball and football.
Dr. Ronald Pike, D.C. has always known he wanted to work in a profession where he could help people. Dr. Pike is a graduate of the Southern California University of Health Sciences where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He also holds an Associate’s degree from Saddleback Community College and a Bachelor’s of Biological Sciences from the University of California in Irvine, CA.
Dr. Pike is passionate about educating the Phoenix, AZ community. He believes that through a well-adjusted spine, attaining health and wellness goals is more than possible. His extensive knowledge and experience in the field of chiropractic has brought Dr. Pike great relationships with his patients. Over the course of his career, Dr. Pike has learned to treat and help infants, grandparents, athletes and those suffering from various ailments such as neck pain, lower back pain, sciatica pain, migraines and arthritis pain.
When Dr. Pike is not busy serving the Phoenix, AZ community at The Joint Chiropractic Phoenix, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife Sharon, and his two daughters.
Dr. Lori Walfoort is a Phoenix, AZ native. She briefly left her home of Arizona to attend chiropractic college at Life Chiropractic College West where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in December 2007.
Dr. Walfoort says chiropractic care saved her life, and she always wanted to be a doctor. She loves having the ability to heal her patients with her two hands, and see improvements in the quality of life of the families in her community.
Over the course of her chiropractic career she has learned to serve a range of patients from infants to athletes and grandparents all with a various symptoms and ailments. Dr. Walfoort has mastered the skill of tailoring her chiropractic adjustments to individuals suffering from sciatica pain, neck pain, lower back pain, migraines and several other symptoms. She loves helping her patients find relief and bettering her Phoenix, AZ community.
Fun fact about Dr. Walfoort, she is a third degree black belt and taught martial arts for 14 years! Aside from martial arts, when Dr. Walfoort is not working at The Joint Chiropractic in Phoenix, AZ she can be found watching movies, doing puzzles and playing with her two boys. They also love to travel, especially to Disneyland.

Dr. Thao Nguyen joined The Joint Chiropractic team in May 2018 and is excited to help her local Phoenix, AZ community. She was born in Vietnam and raised in Portland, OR, and is excited to share her knowledge and expertise with you.
Dr. Nguyen originally became interested in chiropractic care as a profession because she knew she wanted to help others improve their quality of life without the use of prescription medications. This led her to attend Western States College of Chiropractic in Portland, OR where she obtained her doctor of chiropractic degree in 2009.
Over the course of her professional career Dr. Nguyen has learned to serve a range of patients from infants to grandparents, with various cases including neck pain, upper and lower back pain, migraines and headaches, sciatica, arthritis and more.
Dr. Nguyen says the best thing about working in the chiropractic profession is being able to help people do things they weren’t able to do before or were missing from their lives. Having the ability to heal others with her two hands and without the use of medications continues to motivate her everyday.
Dr. Nguyen believes one of the coolest things she has done thus far is fulfill one of her mother’s lifelong dreams of traveling to Europe. They took 2 weeks and traveled to 7 different countries, and had some quality mother-daughter bonding time.
When Dr. Nguyen is not working at The Joint Chiropractic, she enjoys watching movies at her home in Phoenix.
