I have been a member of The Joint Chiropractic for about a year, and unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed with how my recent concerns were handled.
I want to be clear that my disappointment is not with the quality of care I have received from Dr. Joshua Moua. In fact, it is the opposite. Dr. Josh has provided some of the best chiropractic care I have received, and his adjustments have consistently worked very well for me. I have also had positive experiences with several of the other doctors.
My issue is with accessibility, convenience, and how my concerns as a long-time paying member were ultimately addressed.
Dr. Josh is now only available in Fresno on Mondays and works in Visalia Tuesday through Friday. Mondays generally do not work for me because I am usually out of town for work. I was told I could travel to Visalia during the week, but that is approximately a 45-minute drive each way for me. I previously received chiropractic care in Selma and actually enjoyed the care there, but I eventually stopped going because the travel time and inconvenience became too much. I joined The Joint in large part because I wanted convenient, local chiropractic care in Fresno/Clovis.
I reached out directly to management after calling the office and explaining that I was considering canceling my membership. What particularly bothered me was that the receptionist essentially encouraged me to cancel rather than trying to understand why a long-time member was unhappy.
Dr. Daniel Rae, President & CEO of the local franchise, did personally respond to my emails, which I appreciate. He apologized for how the original phone call was handled. However, after I explained my situation in detail and asked whether Dr. Josh could perhaps occasionally be scheduled in Fresno or Clovis on another day of the week, I was told that his schedule would not be adjusted, even occasionally, and that if I decide to cancel, the front desk can assist me.
I never expected an entire doctor’s schedule to be changed around me. I was simply expressing that a provider I have come to trust is essentially inaccessible to me locally because of my work schedule and asking whether there could ever be occasional flexibility.
After being a member for about a year and recommending The Joint to my drivers, family, and friends, the final response left me feeling that retaining me as a patient simply wasn’t much of a priority. With a company of almost 100 employees, they’re losing out on opportunities to grow without my recommendation.
I understand that a business cannot accommodate every customer’s schedule, and I respect their right to make staffing decisions based on the needs of their clinics. But as a customer, I also have the right to decide whether the service still provides the convenience and value I am paying for.
Unfortunately, after this experience, I am seriously reconsidering whether my membership with The Joint Chiropractic is still worthwhile.

First time there, I walked in with back pain at 10 and walked out with zero back pain, the doctor was amazing and cracked my bones. I have a plan to go back and I’m gonna use that time to go back to get my back fixed and up and running again. Best place, I highly recommend come here.

The first chiropractic place I've been to in about 6 years but also the best chiropractic place that I have ever been to really accommodating friendly and eager to get down to the problem like what I mean is them trying to figure out what is bothering you Dr Sydney is fantastic highly recommend not saying anything bad about any of the other doctors for she is the only doctor I have interacted with at that location
but that one appointment her character spoke for itself

After persistent neck pain I decided to try their special out. The receptionist was not friendly at all. No greeting as I stood there she asked “did you check in?” She then proceeded to drink her coffee while setting my account up. I almost left because I seemed like such a bother. Dr Josh was very nice! But as a customer service manager myself, I will not be going back due to the poor customer service at the front.

Sharing my review because I'm hoping to share my ignorance about chiropractic care and frustration over no one at the joint being able to assist me or respond to my emails. I started having back pain and decided I'd try a chiropractor. I went to my first appointment on 6/30 in a lot of pain and after my first visit it seemed like it helped and they wanted me to come back several times a week so I got a 10 package deal for a little under $300. My next appointment was 7/3 and it was not feeling better after the appointment and felt weird. By 7/4 I couldn't walk so I went to the ER. After an MRI I was diagnosed with a herniated disk compressing my spinal cord and referred to a spinal surgeon. The spinal surgeon advised me that going to a chiropractor essentially ever again was not an option. He also informed me that all chiropractic care should have proper imaging before adjustment so the chiropractor knows if there are any issues before treatment....The Joint does not do this. So I called the joint to tell them I couldn't use my remaining 8 visits and could I transfer them to my husband or someone else i know that goes there. I was told that they had a no refund policy and because of HIPAA (I dont think they know what that means) they could not transfer those 8 visits I paid for to anyone else. Basically I cant use them, can't transfer them, cant get a refund. I have emailed the area GM and gotten no response so I guess this is an expensive lesson learned I thought I'd share. I herniated what was a bulging disk and am out $300 for the privilege.

Love the casual walk-in experience, made me feel much more at ease as it was my first chiropractic experience. Let's start with I'm new to Fresno, and, I scheduled appointment for a new Patient special, for 12/31 a 9am appointment... I arrived at 8:45 and walked up to the glass door knocked and the lady/girl or whatever her Pronoun is.. looked up seen me and looked right back down, without even a word, I then go sit in my car and at 9:04am, the chiropractor I assumed pulled up and unlocked door walked in, I then go into the office and the same person at the counter asked me: WHAT DO YOU NEED, NOT good morning or how I can I help? I said I have a 9am appt, Her next rude comment was, do you know who you scheduled with? I looked at her and said No, she replies well I will send you a text fill it out and then we will get to you, its now 9:20ish.. So, at that point I knew this was not the place for me... I LEAVE!!, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone..

I went in today to cancel my reoccurring membership and the lady that was working the front told me to call the home location i was at and refused to do a cancellation (even though i do not live there and it’s over 100 miles away) and after calling the location that was my primary location they advised they only do cancellations in person as I told the lady that worked here and she refused to process the cancellation because I was already given this information by the other location. This used to be a great location when Holly was there, but it seems like the staff was unwilling to help.

Don't get me wrong; I believe Josh, the gentleman who helped me, did a good job. However, he kept laughing at my pain and tried to rush me when I was clearly still in discomfort. The lady at the front desk seemed to hate her job. Whenever I tried to ask her about pricing or packages, whether over the phone or in person, she was very curt and didn’t provide full information about anything. this is the location that’s in River Park. Go to a different one.

I'm extremely unhappy with the customer service . My pain got worse after my last visit my leg was pulled aggressively. I ended up in the emergency room and was told not to go back . I called and explained that I wouldn't be back that I was in horrible pain and can barely walk . I asked them to please cancel my subscription, and remove my bank information. They waited a month and a half and still took money from my account. When calling to address the situation you are unable to talk with anyone only email. I have emailed several times with no response. I'm extremely unhappy with them and want my money refunded . I have not used the services since April, no reason to take money after that long especially after we had a discussion.

I've been coming here for two months, and up until now, my experience had been good. However, during my recent visit, the chiropractor I usually see wasn't available, so I decided to try someone else. I was assigned to the owner, Dr. Daniel W. Rae, D.C. and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
He was extremely unprofessional and aggressive during the adjustment. He pulled my arms with excessive force, as if I were a man, and used so much strength that I was left with two visible bruises. I also clearly communicated that I was not comfortable with having my neck adjusted, but he went ahead and did it anyway, which was both painful and distressing.
This visit left me feeling unsafe and unheard, and I'm very disappointed that my concerns and boundaries were ignored.

I came to the joint with extreme lower back pain. My old chiropractor was roughly about $75 to $80 per visit when he retired a few months ago. I heard about the Joint and how they are able to see walk-ins rather quickly. As a new patient the service was roughly $29 for my 1st visit and consultation. After being treated by one of the chiropractors, the offered me a package that was 4 visits a month for $89 a month and Melinda at the front desk even threw in 2 more sessions for my 1st month for a total of 6 visits my 1st month! I’ve been coming once a week ever since and my joints, back, and neck feel amazing! They have OTHER packages to choose from as well but since I was paying roughly about $80 PER VISIT at my old chiropractor that this membership is 100% worth it! Thank you to Melinda and the Team of Chiropractors at the Joint!

I came to this place in unbearable pain the lady at the front desk was very helpful and delightful. I have never been to one of these places so I was extremely nervous but Dr. Torres got me right and popped my back he said I had a rib out of place and it hurt when my back was popped but I was amazed it only that he fixed me but the prices are affordable and I walked out of there feeling like a new person and extremely great full!!! I needed a quick neck and back adjustment. The experience overall was very good. I’ve had many adjustments for the same issues in the past, but I really liked how they performed the adjustments getting everything back into place. An exceptionally clean facility. Highs & Lows…when I first started I was able to see the same Chiropractor regularly and she was wonderful but soon after the staffing seemed to change constantly and the adjustments went downhill. Also the front office, and the billing setup of the company, is not user friendly. They require a monthly contract that feels impossible to get out of, it’s a business and money is their top priority which is evident in their poor customer service.

Best chiropractic office I've been too. Very nice as you enter. I have my specific Dr's I go to because they know history of pain. They take their time and care. I am writing to share my experience,I am a driver and the challenges I faced after an injury, as well as how chiropractic care from The Joint Chiropractic played a crucial role in my recovery.
As a Lyft driver, I am often expected to go above and beyond to assist passengers, even if it means performing tasks that put my own physical wellbeing at risk. One evening, I was helping a customer load their wheelchair into the back of my car, and I knew immediately that I had done something to injure my back. Within an hour, the pain became so severe that I had to end my shift early.
The pain I experienced was excruciating - it radiated from my shoulder blade, down my arm, all the way to my fingertips. The next day, I couldn't even feel my hand, as it had become completely numb. I ended up bedridden for an entire month, unable to work and struggling with the relentless pressure and discomfort in my left side.
Determined to find an affordable solution, I turned to Google and discovered The Joint Chiropractic in Fresno. I was thrilled to learn that I could access their services without having insurance. Dr. Yamamoto promptly put me on a treatment plan and even sent me home with stretching exercises to do between appointments. After my very first adjustment, I could feel the wheels of recovery starting to turn.
Within a month, I was back behind the wheel, driving without any discomfort. The radiating pain down my arm dissipated, and the numbness in my hand subsided, though it took a bit of time for the tingling in my fingertips to fully go away. I am now fully recovered and back to doing what I love - my job as a Lyft driver.
I am immensely grateful to Dr. Yamamoto and The Joint Chiropractic for their compassionate care and for helping me regain my mobility and ability to work. This experience has strengthened my belief in the power of chiropractic treatment, and I hope that by sharing my story, I can encourage others who may be facing similar challenges to seek the care they need.

It was a migraine.
I was in so much pain it took me an hour for the pain to die down enough to drive home soooo... I decided to stop for an adjustment. I got there barely before closing but Dr.Torres didn't complain or rush anything. I have this tension that builds into knots and gives me these migraines. Weeell, the one in my right shoulder has been there so long I even named him Fred. He doesn't leave. Buuuut, Doc killed him ? with extra care and dedication. He took the extra time to do some pressure stretching? Not sure what to call it but it sure did the trick. My shoulders have never been so loose!
TLDR- DR. Torres, you're my hero and thanks for killing Fred ?

I went on a Friday in Feb thinking I was having a recurrence of my sacro iliac dysfunction. The next day, I woke up in excruciating pain and could not stand up straight. I returned to them that same day, but their follow-up adjustment did not help, and I left in as much pain as I arrived. I ended up needing a walker and took myself to the ER two days later, that Monday. A few weeks later, I got an MRI. 3 bulging discs from S1-L3. Now I have 8(?) more prepaid visits, but I'm too nervous to go back. I don't necessarily think they caused my issue, but the pain getting SO much worse after their adjustment has me too scared to risk it now that I'm doing better. My shoulder blade area and neck did feel better after the first adjustment. But, maybe that's more because my focus was on the excruciating pain in my lower back.

Came here with my boyfriend to help with my lower back pain. Thought I was getting a good deal. Turns out they are complete scammers. I was super intimidated when I first came. I’ve never been to the chiropractors before. And I only came in because I had to, I had a terrible back spasm and desperately needed help. I was terrified. But the doctor carefully adjusted my back. He walked me through all the steps he was going to do. It hurt, I was in more pain than when I came in because I was so stiff. But I felt like it the heal time was a lot faster than usual. I followed up the next week and they adjusted me and I felt great. I’ve been coming ever since, I don’t know what kept me so long from joining. They’re great. Would recommend. Highly recommend.

Love the casual walk-in experience, made me feel much more at ease as it was my first chiropractic experience. I found it interesting that each doctor had their own approach and preferred techniques, and seemingly their own area of expertise. I was especially impressed with Dr. Johnson in Fresno who seemed not only knowledgeable but very passionate about foot issues... but not in a weird way. Overall very pleasant experience!

I’ve been going here since the day they opened. The staff here feels like extended family. Each one is so kind and treat with such care. The receptionists are the sweetest ladies in the world. I am on a membership, and while it may seem expensive, this is the cheapest chiropractic I’ve ever paid for. Sometimes I only get in for 1 or 2 of my visits but I still don’t feel like it’s a waste because the cost of even 2 appointments somewhere with my insurance is the cost of my monthly plan. This is also the only chiro I have ever seen results at. I have a bulging disc in my spine, and because I’m young, doctors can’t do anything to help with the issue or pain. This place has given me my life back and I’m so grateful for every single person employed here. Dr Rae, I knew it would be a success when you landed here, and I’m so grateful to you for your practice. I won’t even bother with other locations!

My wife and I are now in a weekly wellness program, so to speak, and are now getting a somewhat generic adjustments, but it's based on our history of pains and issues. But every once in a while, we still have unique problems because of work and/or hobby related issues... and everyone of the Doctors who have had the opportunity to adjust us knows how to isolate and focus and the problem areas, while still getting our normal adjustments.
We have tried nearly everyone of the Doctors... and though they have their own unique styles, and similar ones, of course, bottom line is you tell them the problem, they try their best to address it (not every issues can be solved in one sitting, I hope everyone understands that. There is no magic cure), and also explain how and why those are happening or it has to be adjusted in a certain way. Their communication and explanation of things makes me and my wife feel more comfortable about the process, and help us understand our bodies and how to be more carefull given our age.

The Joint Chiropractic in Riverpark has literally been life changing for me. My lower back had reached a point where it was always in a state where it was about to go out on me, and it had been there for a couple years. Put on a shoe, reach for the remote, it didn’t matter, it might go out. I’m 46, so I attempted the self fix trick I had always done, just get my back and legs stronger. Cycling, squats, deadlifts, lunges for 3 months. My back got way stronger but it still hurt just as much. A friend convinced me to visit The Joint. I signed up for their wellness program, had 6 visits in the first 30 days and I felt the best I have in years by the 5th visit. A nice inexpensive way to see the chiropractor. My only complaint is how rush I feel sometimes and the lack of privacy as it is one big open area. There is no where to put your items but at the tables where other guest are sitting close by while you see the doctor.

I have been coming to see Dr. Rae for about 3 months now. I get “the works” as I like to call it when I see him, full spinal adjustment with the Y-Strap to fully release the tension in my spine.

I like that is fast and convenient. They close at 7 pm and at 4 pm on Saturdays. Is hard to find chiropractors on the weekends or that late. No appts need it which is perfect because my schedule is set. Went in for some help with knee pain and the chiropractor only adjusted my back and neck. After the adjustment, I specified that I was actually there for my knee, not my back and he told me to ice my knee and use a foam roller. Did nothing to help my knee pain. Other Joint locations have had much better care. This would have been fine had I been looking for an adjustment, but he did not listen to me or seek to help. Maybe I will try the Clovis location when it opens but I will not be returning to this location.

The best chiropractic adjustment I’ve ever had, very kind and courteous. Prices are good, cheaper than paying with insurance in my experience. All of the doctors are very well trained, know how to get your body moving and how to help you feel better. Dr Yamamoto, Dr Rosie, Dr Walls, and Dr Rae are some of the best chiropractors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and Holly the receptionist is always a joy to see!
