The Joint is a hit or miss! It took me a very long time to write a review about The Joint because I am pro-Chiropractic treatments and swear by them as I’ve been into it since 2008. However, The Joint ultimately did not work for me, hence the three stars. I tried two different locations because I was a member for almost a year, although my primary was the one at the NoHo West. The facilities are very clean, the front desk staff were always lovely, and the wait was never longer than 15 min. Any available Chiro can take you in, but after trying a few different ones, I settled on one and made sure to call in first before showing up so I could only treat with him. Unfortunately this subscription model did me more harm than good. For the Chiros the hours and the physical effort can be intense, and being adjusted by an exhausted practitioner is the worst. Nevertheless, when the bad happened to me I thought “meh, I’ll come back for my regular maintenance around a time my fave clocks in so I have a session with him fresh and good to go.” Well, when I wanted to have a new adjustment, one or two weeks later, my preferred Chiro at The Joint was no longer at NoHo West. Bummer! So I did the adjustment with the available practitioner. 2 out of 10! I shouldn't have… By the time I went to the branch my fave had transferred to he was no longer working for The Joint (they have a huge turnover). Because I was already at that branch I went with the practitioner available (who was B-U-S-Y and the waiting room was packed). This chiro was 10x10 MEH, and that was the time I chose cancel my subscription. Between the amount of money I could have paid for a single session with another Chiro and the money I paid for my intro session and the 3 months' monthly commitment, it was about the same $$$. Does it mean one is better than the other?! Yes and No. Like I said, it is a hit or miss.

I drove 30 minutes out of the way to come here after The Joint near me didn’t have a doctor. I looked it up and called- all signs indicated this place was open. It was not- they were closed with no explanation. Yet they do not update the information online or on their voicemail. This is the second Saturday in a row. The actual service was fine. The stress of dealing with the front desk staff who did a bait and switch with the cost kind of negated the benefits of going there. Since their two isn’t working I have to pay more for a single visit then the agreed cost of $45 for 4 visit. My option was to pass $55 for a single visit which would require me to drive to the bank and come back. Customer service is trash. I will not be back.

Do not use this company! They are liars. Do not sign a contract! If you did, cancel right away! They tried to defraud me by lying to my face about recurring charges. I wanted a one-time treatment and they offered me a "package of 4 treatments" for $89 instead. I initially declined but they promised that it was a only one-time charge of $89, that I had a month to use them, and that once I used all 4 or the month was over I was done and there would be no more charges. They swiveled around a screen and asked me to sign it. I believed what they said and signed it. I only had 2 treatments cause it was truly terrible, and I never went back. Turns out they lied and conned me into signing a contract with recurring monthly $89 charges. I found out 18 months later when I saw their charges on my credit card. I have witnesses that were there when I signed that can back up that they lied. Even worse, they refuse to cancel my "membership" when I confronted them on the phone, claiming I had to send an email. And even when I sent an email demanding they stop trying to charge me, they refused to cancel and still now continue to try to charge me every month.

I’ve tried to give this place a chance THREE times and each time I’ve been turned away for a different, increasingly frustrating reason. First visit: I showed up during open hours, but there was nobody at the front desk to do an intake despite being open. No explanation, no signage, nothing. Just a completely unstaffed office and a refusal to check me in when I would have bought a membership. Second visit: I was told they couldn’t see me because the intake would take 45 minutes, and they only had 35 minutes left in their day. Instead of trying to make it work or offering any kind of solution, I was just told “no.” Third visit: I was turned away again….this time because I mentioned I had fallen off my bike. Not a car accident. Not anything requiring special medical clearance. Just a simple fall, and somehow that disqualified me from getting care. Every time I’ve tried to be seen here, I’ve been met with a new excuse. I’ve never even made it past the front door. At this point, it feels like they’re more interested in turning people away than actually helping them. I’ve never felt heard, supported, or valued as a potential patient.

I’m so soo disappointed. On the surface they pride themselves on being affordable with no hidden fees but really they scam and trick you. The first consultation and adjustment is $29 which is awesome. Then I was recommended to come back for at least 5 more sessions which came out to $118 and they told me that they added in two extra sessions to make it 7 for just $118. My boyfriend and I were both there when I signed the paper work and the front desk lady made it clear that after the sessions I paid for I could sign up for a month to month subscription for $89 a month. However, in reality the paperwork stated that it was required for you to pay for an additional two months. After I went in for only 4 sessions I noticed the charge of $89 on my card. I called and asked about this because I knew I hadn’t used all my appointments. Stephanie told me very rudely and defensively that she explained to me that I signed up for the monthly subscription even though both me and my boyfriend heard her say that was something optional I could do after the one time payment. She also said all the information was emailed to me which it was not. I will not be going back even though I only got 4 out of 7 adjustments I paid for and they scammed me out of an extra $178. I’m so very disappointed because on the surface it seems like a great deal and very affordable. I’ve seen a few other reviews saying the same thing and I wish I read them before I went there.

Don’t be lured with their promos…….. they will let you sign the 7 adjustments promo without telling you that they will deduct your acct. monthly. The people at the front desk were not honest . Don’t come to this clinic and you’ll regret it. They will not accept on the phone cancellation. Instead of promoting good business they scared people…. They make you commit to two months when you sign up, sounds like a good deal for the price. My boyfriend signed up to help with his back and was hurt more by this company. He called to complain and cancel after trying two times. They will not cancel his membership until he pays for the second month even though he is in more pain after trying just a few times in his first month. Do not recommend this service. You walk in and sit on a bench with everyone else in the shop, someone comes up to you and cracks your back quickly and you are done. No personalization or notes or idea of what is going on. Might as well have someone walk on your back and call it a day - safer and cheaper.

Feel so disappointed this is scam first they say they will charge me for $89 for my service as a promotion rate then when I check my bank apps. Charge me $127. then following months March 31, 2023 - $118.00 , May 1 2023 - $89.00 then May 31 2023 - $89.00 .. Keep charging my card without Informing me no calls no text messages no emails at all And I didn't take my service with them, as per Bryan the receptionist they are not responsible for making calls to follow-up or remind the customer for renewal and for services. Please customer be aware of this kind of agreement with them. Unprofessional. Don't go to this clinic. I called them spoked to Bryan he refused to help me to send the cancelation form thru email. I'm staying in longbeach right now and I'm far away from NoHo. He said still have until August to past by.. No consideration at all seriously ?!!! Dr. Nic is a rockstar! It shows by the fact people travel great distances to receive his adjustments, including me. His adjustments are games changers. Simply put, he is one of the most talented chiropractors in CA, putting others to shame. I have had chiropractic treatment (on both coasts) for over 30 years and I have even been treated at the chiropractic college in Whittier where chiropractor's are trained, so I feel qualified to make these statements. In my experience, I have found it takes more than solid training to be a good adjuster- you have to have a natural talent for it. All the training in the world helps little- you either have it or your don't. Dr. Nic has that rare talent in spades and The Joint should be honored (and take good care) of such talent. Add that he practices with a positive attitude and zen calmness and you have gold. He is the reason I purchase those 20 packs from the Joint. My gratitude (and my family's gratitude) goes to him as the relief from pain and the healing that follows treatment allow me to be more present for my family and better enjoy life.

Update: went for my last visit on june 1st at this location, lady was so rough I've been left with lasting neck pain, and dizziness. Please do not go here it's really a gamble of when you will get hurt. I was planning on continuing my membership but after this experience I will not return to renew. I'm currently looking for physical therapy to treat the damage she did. Fast service, quick adjustments, wish they would tell you when to breath in and out to when doing the adjustment to know when to relax the body for the twist.

It is fabulous. Although there is a Joint literally within walking distance from me in Burbank..I elect to travel to this one in North Hollywood because of Dr Mary and also Dr Nick. Dr Mary has been treating me for over a year and she has been a lifesaver. I never have to wait and in 10 minutes or so my body is ready to take on the day. it is spotless and parking is great. Unfortunately I don’t recall the doctor’s name who adjusted me but he’s fantastic. I often go to whichever location is nearest to where I am at the moment but the NoHo location is my favorite for consistently good treatment.

Came in looking for a place just like this, somewhere I can get adjusted but not a whole doctors visit. Place was design for just that. Doctor was quick but concise & Billy Up front was super helpful and even handled an extremely overbearing client on top of it. "Overbearing" is the nice word. Great spot. Thanks Guys

Dr. Nick and Dr. Mary are my girlfriend and my primary chiropractors. Thier location is the next closest one to our home, but we really don't mind the extra distance to get treated so well. My girlfriend and Dr. May look simular enough to be mistaken for family, and I knew, even before getting her a membership that they world share a female bond, and I've seen how gentle she was with the entire process of her first few visits. Finding out about this location was very fortunate, but I always let the universe take me where I belong. As far as the Burbank Blvd. location, I really don't know how your company continues to employ " Dr."Bystram. I've complained about this blatant misconduct to the former and then manager (2019)as well as another manager in 2021. I sometimes resent having to drive the extra distance, but I have to think of my health over trying to be a social justice warrior. There are good people and bad people of every color, and that's what I have to remind people when they object to my girlfriend being of a different "race" than myself. I guess things happen for a reason, and I'm almost convinced that "Dr" ? Bystram, from the Van Nuys, location is possessed by a demon in order to send me running to where I belong. All's well that end well, I guess. Dr. Nick and Dr. Mary are not only brilliant at thier skills, but are warm human beings. What more could I ask for....besides a gas card to make up for having to deal with that other guy in the first place.lol.

I was experience some sharp lower back pain and was able to go to The Joint first thing in the morning. Dr. Mary took good care of me, helped discover the issue and gave me exercises and stretches to do once I got home. It was my first time getting realigned and it was amazing.

Amazing experience. Todays session was a full and complete alignment. I wish i got the Dr. Name but will when i go back next week. Sometimes you get different Dr's when you visit unless you know the specific Dr. Schedule. But really good about keeping the wait time down to minimal. The one complaint that I do have is that if you purchase any additional sessions, none of them rollover to the next billing cycle. I had lost a session because if this and had to go 4 days in a row to not lose my purchase. Other than that, great experience so far.

So I initially signed up at the Van Nuys location. I just happens to be in NH area and said let me give it a try. And MY GOODNESS! Best decision EVER!! The two doctors are absolutely amazing! Also, might I add, I worked for a chiropractor for about 9 years and well just being honest they sell these HUGE and expensive “care plans” (unnecessary) and you’ll spend literally thousands! I was always spectacle of The Joint because some Chiropractors I’ve worked for always bad mouthed them for whatever reasons. I took my chance for financial reasons and I really wish I would have done this way earlier in my years due to my back pain. I absolutely recommend!! not only The Joint but specifically the North Hollywood loacation! Never waited longer than 10 minutes and always in and out with amazing adjustments!! I would give them 100 stars if I could❤️

Dr Nick and Dr Mary are fantastic. I had a couple bad adjustments from other people but I knew Nick was good. So when I heard he was in NOHO I went and discovered Dr Mary is excellent too so I haven’t gone anywhere else since. You can definitely trust these guys with your back. I always leave feeling so much better. If you’re going near closing time, it might be smart to call ahead just to know how long the wait is because they get busy sometimes- if that matters to you. I usually go when I’m not in a hurry.

Seriously consider whether or not you want to go here before doing so. I went one time and have been charged over $100 for a membership I've never used and can't cancel. The one time I did go only made.my back worse, and now I'm unable to get refunded by them, leaving me to contact my bank in an attempt to reverse the transaction. When I spoke with them over the phone, they seemed almost giddy to tell me that they can't refund me, not to mention being unwilling to cancel my membership over the phone. Honestly, this place seems like kind of a scam.

My wife and I initially signed up for one month of adjustments and I had specifically asked if we can cancel our membership after the first month and they said yes. Before the month was up I asked the front desk to cancel both our membership and they said I couldn’t cancel it and that my wife and I had both agreed to a second month of adjustments. We were shocked by the bait and switch tactics of this facility. After explaining what we understood several times and getting no where, we were told to just postpone our membership if we would like. This was during the pandemic so I didn’t want to deal with it so we’ve been postponing it for several months now due to the shutdowns. I’m posting this so that we can find others that may have experienced the same issues.

I found The Joint just as I completed 12 weeks of physical therapy so it was perfect timing and I was lucky to get the doctor that I continue to see. I think this is an Important idea to be able to provide care for people who normally cannot pay a high price for chiropractic care. I’ve been to chiropractors most of my life, though none in the last 15 years. I am happy to have a doctor who spent time Answering questions and explaining what was needed for me to be comfortable with him. I need regular care for now so I’m grateful that The Joint is nearby.

Haven't been to the chiropractor since moving to LA 6 years ago even though I've definitely needed to. I have kyphosis along with Scheuermann's disease and wore a Manhattan brace at night for 3 years in HS. Most of my back pain now in just a constant aggravation and after two visits a great deal of that pressure and discomfort is gone that's been bothering me; especially with the sedentary lifestyle the pandemic had forced on us lately. The Joint is easy, affordable, and everyone has been super nice. Looking forward to getting back. Pun intended.

I have been coming on and off to this location ever since it opened a few years ago. The staff have always been great and helpful! After childbirth and being in a car accident, my back was never the same, but I had never considered visiting a Chiro. Not sure why. The first time around, they fixed the issue that pain meds and muscle relaxers couldn't within a month or so. I recently injured my back again and was in excruciating pain. Pain that I have never felt before and as a result I ended up in the ER. Again, all I was given were pain meds and muscle relaxers, aside from an X-ray. Although the pain was masked by pills, my back and lower back/hips felt jammed. The next day I walked into The Joint and was seen by Dr. Nick. I cannot express how grateful I am for him and his knowledge of our skeleton and muscle systems. After the first crack, I immediately felt a huge relief off my back. It was amazing! When I say I was in really bad shape, I truly mean it. Within the first few visits, I felt a huge difference on my back/lower back area. The other Chiro's on hand are great as well, but I have been mainly seen by Dr. Nick for a little over 2 months now. He is awesome and has rehabilitated my back/hips, back to health. I can finally move without any pain which is important because I am only 34.5 yrs old. Thank you!

Dr Mary is an excellent chiropractor. I've suffered for years with neck and back pain (I have scoliosis) and in just two weeks of treatment Dr Mary has reduced my pain level by at least 80%. The first week I got adjusted 4 days in a row. The second week I got one adjustment. Before coming here I couldn't sleep lying flat on my back nor on my left side. Now I can sleep on my back and am starting to sleep turning to my left side but I still need more work to be able to do this for a few hours. I'm very happy with the progress and look forward to continuing my treatment plan.
