Starting out as an EMT in 1998 and later as a Paramedic, Dr. Mapes started to realize that modern, medical methods of managing pain and dysfunction may not always be the best solution. After a low back injury as a medic, he started investigating other methods, and discovered that Chiropractic was not only the least invasive and cost effective way to manage pain issues, but it also helps with other areas of daily living.

Dr. Mapes attended Texas Tech University and Parker University, with a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic and 2 undergraduate degrees in Human Anatomy and Health and Wellness. He utilizes many different adjusting techniques that include Diversified, Thompson Drop Table, and Activator Method.

Some areas he specializes in are the treatment and management of: Neck and upper back pain, Headaches and migraines, Rib dysfunction, Low back pain and Sciatica, and Chronic Pain Syndromes

When not treating patients, you can find Dr. Mapes on a trail somewhere hiking or backpacking.
