Dr. Daniel Falor joined The Joint Chiropractic’s family of local healthcare providers in 2020 with his arrival at the Duluth clinic location. He got his doctorate from Life College of Chiropractic, where his areas of study included clinical nutrition and herbal medicine.
“The thing I enjoy most about being in the chiropractic field is improving the quality of people’s lives,” he says.
Dr. Dan, as he prefers his patients call him, grew up in a small town in Michigan and has been married more than three decades to his wife, an aesthetician and skin care specialist. They have one son, who is a department head at Delta Airlines, and a lynx/Siamese cat cross named Lucy.
He has previously worked in Loganville, Snellville, and Alpharetta. In his spare time, Dr. Dan enjoys music, history, and politics.
“I knew that chiropractic was for me after a serious back injury,” he says. “I injured it during a remodeling project but didn’t notice any severe pain at first. As the days went on, my back became more and more painful. A medical doctor prescribed pain meds and muscle relaxers but the pain persisted and was getting worse; he sent me to a physical therapist and if that didn’t fix the problem, he was going to recommend surgery. Three weeks of physical therapy did nothing to alleviate the pain, which was so intense that I was dragging my right leg. I was terrified by the prospect of back surgery. A friend recommended chiropractic. I had heard some vague things about it, but had no idea what a chiropractor actually did. I had nothing to lose, so I made an appointment. Three weeks later, the pain was gone. That’s when I decided that I wanted to do for others what the chiropractor had done for me. It changed my life.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
The one thing that Dr. Dan always keeps in his refrigerator is eggs “because they’re one of nature’s most perfect foods.”
If Dr. Dan could bring together any four people from history for a dinner party of his dreams, it would include some of the world’s most formidable figures, composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, inventor Thomas Edison, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and author Ernest Hemingway.
“Mozart mastered the violin and piano and composed his first symphony by age 5,” Dr. Dan says, “and Beethoven once said that ‘when God listens to music, he listens to Mozart.’ Edison was America’s greatest inventor who held 1,093 patents. Churchill’s brilliant leadership kept the resistance to the Nazi machine alive until the U.S. entered World War II and undoubtedly saved the world. Hemingway has been called the greatest writer of the 20th century. Each of these men are geniuses in his own right and would make for a fascinating conversation.”
The coolest thing he has done, “for obvious reasons,” he says, is “I helped bring my son into this world.”
Dr. Crystal Andrews-Robertson grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and previously lived in the Greater Atlanta Area. She first began her studies at Howard University in Washington, DC majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. She then attended Life University in Marietta, GA, and graduated Cum Laude in her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
She began working at The Joint Chiropractic in 2018. Dr. Crystal says, “the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is educating, adjusting, and empowering people in the community about an alternative approach to pain relief and achieving optimum health. Chiropractic helps to change the quality of people's lives one adjustment at a time.”
When she is not working, Dr. Crystal likes to spend her time relaxing with her spouse, Paul, her son, two stepdaughters, and two granddaughters. She enjoys walking, doing, yoga, listening to music/ positive motivational information, shopping, and learning more holistic information to maximize greater health.
