Dr. Alysha Amayreh received her undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph's College in Indiana where she played collegiate soccer before returning back to the Chicago-land area. Dr. Alysha began her love for chiropractic after suffering a low back injury her junior year. After trying multiple treatments, she found what truly helped her heal was chiropractic care, and has been inspired to help others ever since.
The desire to help others was the driving force that enabled Dr. Alysha to obtain her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois in 2019. As a team member of The Joint Chiropractic in Aurora, IL, her purpose is to provide a welcoming environment for her patients, deliver high quality adjustments to the spine and extremities, and help her patient's achieve their goals by improving their quality of life. Dr. Alysha is passionate about connecting with her patients and community, spending time with her friends and family, her husband, Abe, and their two dogs Duncan and Nova.
Dr. Julie Zakutansky joined The Joint Chiropractic family in 2019. A graduate of National University of Health Sciences where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology, and Human Physiology. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1997 also from National University. Prior to becoming a chiropractor Dr. Julie also got a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Mary’s College, completed a Chemistry Fellowship at the University of Notre Dame and went to the PhD program for Chemistry at Dartmouth College on an Academic Scholarship.
Dr. Julie started her career working in Emergency Response for the United States Environmental Protection Agency. “I loved my work for the EPA but after falling ill and getting fixed by a chiropractor I was hooked – I just had to learn more!”Dr. Julie says “A sedentary lifestyle has been linked to many of the afflictions chiropractic treats. The digital world has changed life for all of us. Constant connectivity, increased screen time, rideshare driving, commuting, excessive sitting, and continual bombardment with the negativities of the news all take a toll. Regular Chiropractic treatment is a great way to effectively deal with the physical consequences of a more stressful life.”
I came to the Joint because of their philosophy of providing affordable, accessible, and quality chiropractic care on a routine basis. I believe everyone should be able to live their best and healthiest life.
While a chiropractor during the day - I spend most evenings playing with, cooking for, and rubbing the bellies and ears of my 4 rescue dogs - 2 Great Danes, 1 Doberman and 1 Pitbull. They are quite a pack of knuckleheads but I love them.
In addition to being an avid animal lover I enjoy skiing, swing dancing, and hiking. I would also say I am a sustainable transportation evangelist (in other words love answering questions about my Tesla)!
Stop by and see us for an adjustment at the Joint.
Dr. Victoria received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in North Carolina in 2014. She knew she wanted to work in health care since she was little, but did not know what field she wanted to go into. While in undergraduate school, she ran her car into a chiropractor's office building (accidentally, it was raining), and while waiting for a police report, the doctor in the office offered her an internship at his practice! After interning with him for the remainder of her time at Appalachian State, she fell in love with the holistic approach to health care chiropractic offers. She began working on her chiropractic degree in 2016 at Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia. During her four years at school, she joined Alpha Delta Upsilon philanthropy organization and served as the secretary, philanthropy chair, and new member educator for three and years. She graduated from Life in 2019 with the certificate of merit for critical thinking.
She moved from Georgia to Illinois in 2019 and in her spare time enjoys riding motorcycles and exploring the Chicagoland area. She joined The Joint team in January of 2020 and enjoys the fast paced and adjustment focused environment they have created.
