Meet The Doctors
I am blessed and excited to be a chiropractor here at The Joint! I have had the honor to treat thousands of patients throughout my 14 year career. I have worked in many places (even as far as Lima, Peru) treating a wide array of conditions. My goal for each of my patients is to help them achieve improved movement and mobility so that they can live their best and fullest life. I believe that the key to maintaining good health and wellness is an individual's commitment to a routine that supports this outcome. Outside of work, I love spending time with family, our dogs as well as playing sand volleyball, biking, paddle boarding and running.
Dr. Sherry Choi earned her Bachelors in Science of Human Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, IL. She went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance degrees at Logan University, College of Chiropractic, Chesterfield, MO.
Dr. Sherry Choi uses a variety of chiropractic techniques from traditional style to low-force adjusting (such as the Activator Method and Basic technique). She is an expert at soft tissue and muscle treatment: soft tissue mobilization (IASTM/Muscle scraping/Gua Sha) and is a Certified Chiropractic Acupuncturist. She helps patients by finding answers and natural solutions for all complaints, from simple to complex. She has a passion for helping to empower her patients to love their bodies and know what it’s capable of in order to optimize their quality of life. She helps her patients discover and incorporate natural and alternative approaches to health.
Dr. Sherry Choi grew up in Chicago and has recently moved back with her dog, Ari, after being away for 11 years. She enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, sewing, painting, and hiking with her dog.
Dr. Murillo, a California Bay Area native, has brought his expertise to the heart of the Midwest. With a bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the esteemed University of California-Davis, Dr. Murillo immersed himself in the world of sports medicine, spending three years in their rigorous program. Collaborating closely with athletic trainers, he honed his skills while providing care to athletes across various disciplines, including basketball, soccer, softball, and even during a training camp with the Los Angeles Rams. His dedication to sports medicine extended to the professional level, as he worked with the Chicago Bears in 2023 and presently serves the Windy City Bulls.
Driven by a desire to elevate his practice and work with athletes at a deeper level, Dr. Murillo transitioned to the field of chiropractic care. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus, where his leadership qualities were recognized with his election as President of the Palmer West Sports Council during his senior year. This role allowed him to further immerse himself in treating athletes across a spectrum of sporting events in the greater Silicon Valley area.
Dr. Murillo’s passion lies in providing holistic care to his patients, empowering them to lead pain-free lives while pursuing their passions. He specializes in soft tissue work, holding certifications in Full-Body Active Release Technique (ART) and Nerve Entrapment protocols with ART. Committed to comprehensive patient care, he is also an SFMA provider.
With a compassionate approach and a dedication to excellence, Dr. Murillo is committed to helping his patients achieve optimal health and wellness. His blend of expertise in sports medicine and chiropractic care makes him a trusted partner in his patients' journeys toward pain relief and improved mobility.
