I'm Dr. Tom Franz, and have been a practicing Chiropractor for 20 years, after graduating The National College of Chiropractic, now the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard Illinois in 1996.
I was born and raised in Crystal Lake, Illinois however I completed my Undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.
I have worked in a variety of different offices and found I like treating people of all ages and most enjoy spinal and extremity adjusting!
My passion is adjusting, however I also believe in doing a thorough consultation, examination and spinal assessment.
When I meet people outside the office and they are interested in care, I like to tell them, if I can help you I'll tell you, and if not, I'll tell you that too.
I have been involved in Sports and Athletics my whole life and definitely am an enthusiast.
I played Football and Baseball in my younger days and now greatly enjoy Golf!
I also enjoy Fishing, Reading and rooting for the Blackhawks.
Hi, my name is Dr. Alexis C. Gorman. I grew up in Palatine and now reside in Bartlett. I went to Northern Illinois University and got my BS in Public Health. I then attended National University of Health Sciences to pursue my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I have been practicing since 2012 and joined The Joint in January 2019. My personal mission is to help as many people as possible experience the amazing affects of chiropractic.
I got into chiropractic after undergrad. I started working for a chiropractor and had so much fun working with the patients and seeing the amazing results that I decided that I had to become a chiropractor. Since graduating I have worked with a wide range of patients. Ages 1 day old to 90+, Acute and Chronic pain patients to wellness and preventative care. I love educating the patients on the effects of subluxations (misalignments) and the amazing benefits of getting adjusted and being in alignment.
Outside of work, I am married and have been with my husband for 16 years now, have two sons, Zachery (4) and Jaxson (18 months) and a rescue dog Morgan who is now 10 years old. When I have down time I love to run, read and eat.
Dr. Etter began has career as a chiropractor when he graduated from National University of Health Sciences in 2016 here in Illinois. Ever since he was a young child, Dr. Etter spent a good deal of time being treated as a patient by chiropractors because of spinal alignment issues and also digestive problems. Having success with chiropractic early on, Dr. Etter decided to pursue becoming a chiropractor and being able to deliver the healing potential of chiropractic to others, the same he had experienced in his early life.
Dr. Etter has spent time becoming certified in various chiropractic techniques since graduation and has gained valuable experience in Los Angeles and Chicago chiropractic positions. He is an avid believer in the concept that the body has amazing healing potential with utilizing simply the hands and knowledge of the body’s anatomy and physiology. Dr. Etter currently practices at the The Joint clinics in Bloomingdale and Elgin, applying his skills and love of chiropractic to patients.
Dr. Victoria received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in North Carolina in 2014. She knew she wanted to work in health care since she was little, but did not know what field she wanted to go into. While in undergraduate school, she ran her car into a chiropractor's office building (accidentally, it was raining), and while waiting for a police report, the doctor in the office offered her an internship at his practice! After interning with him for the remainder of her time at Appalachian State, she fell in love with the holistic approach to health care chiropractic offers. She began working on her chiropractic degree in 2016 at Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, Georgia. During her four years at school, she joined Alpha Delta Upsilon philanthropy organization and served as the secretary, philanthropy chair, and new member educator for three and years. She graduated from Life in 2019 with the certificate of merit for critical thinking.
She moved from Georgia to Illinois in 2019 and in her spare time enjoys riding motorcycles and exploring the Chicagoland area. She joined The Joint team in January of 2020 and enjoys the fast paced and adjustment focused environment they have created.
