Meet The Doctors
Dr. Marc Long was born and raised in the small rural town of Sterling, Illinois. Dr. Long graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and B.S. degree in 1994. He owned and operated a successful multi-disciplinary clinic for 20 years in the Chicago area before joining The Joint in the summer of 2018.
During his career, Dr. Long went on to earn additional certification in Orthopedics for Sports Injuries and Extremity conditions and a Diplomate in Integrative Medicine. He has also attended many hours of postgraduate education in Functional Medicine and Nutrition. He is always keeping up on the latest information in his field to help serve his patients at the highest level.
Dr. Long discovered Chiropractic as a teenager who struggled with headaches and chronic sinus problems that would always advance into an infection or strep throat several times a year. He was amazed at how Chiropractic care removed his health problems when nothing else worked.
What he likes about The Joint is being able to provide high quality health care to his patients at a price they can afford. This allows all ages to discover and experience how great Chiropractic care is for their overall health. He enjoys educating his patients and helping them realized that Chiropractic is not just for removing pain and symptoms but helping the body function at its highest level possible.
He lives locally with his wife Amy and their two daughters Jordan and Erica. Dr. Long enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching Chicago sports and movies. He loves playing outdoor sports such as tennis, golf and basketball. When he has the time he likes cooking and BBQ with his smoker.
Dr. Jake Wines graduated Eastern Illinois University in 1997, with a degree in Athletic Training. Attended National college of Chiropractic and graduated in 2001. He has been practicing Chiropractic since 2001 in multi-disciplinary settings for over 20 years.
Dr. Wines has completed over 1000 hours of post graduate studies in Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation. He is always furthering his education to keep up on the latest information to best treat his patients. He enjoys practicing Chiropractic giving his patients relief and allowing them to live pain free.
Dr. Wines lives in Shorewood with his family. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, fishing or anything outdoors. He is an avid baseball fan and enjoys a good game of catch. He joined the Joint Team in 2023.
I'm Dr. Gytis, a chiropractic doctor passionate about movement and wellness. Graduating from the National University of Health Sciences in 2020, I bring a fresh perspective to chiropractic care.
As a lifelong athlete and advocate for physical activity, I believe movement is the key to good health—no pills needed. At The Joint, I work with diverse clients, from athletes to those focused on longevity, offering personalized care to improve mobility and overall well-being.
I decided that I wanted to be a chiropractor when I had a back injury as a high school athlete. I saw how chiropractic could help the body heal itself naturally rather than using medication and surgery. After healing from my back injury I saw how continued chiropractic care helped my body heal and adapt from everyday stress. After completing my undergraduate degree in exercise science I decided to go to Palmer chiropractic college to help people not only get out of pain, but adapt and thrive in their lives, however that may look.
In my free time I love to go on walks with my wife. We also love to travel and see new cities across the country. I am also an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature.
