Dr. Marc Long was born and raised in the small rural town of Sterling, Illinois. Dr. Long graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and B.S. degree in 1994. He owned and operated a successful multi-disciplinary clinic for 20 years in the Chicago area before joining The Joint in the summer of 2018.
During his career, Dr. Long went on to earn additional certification in Orthopedics for Sports Injuries and Extremity conditions and a Diplomate in Integrative Medicine. He has also attended many hours of postgraduate education in Functional Medicine and Nutrition. He is always keeping up on the latest information in his field to help serve his patients at the highest level.
Dr. Long discovered Chiropractic as a teenager who struggled with headaches and chronic sinus problems that would always advance into an infection or strep throat several times a year. He was amazed at how Chiropractic care removed his health problems when nothing else worked.
What he likes about The Joint is being able to provide high quality health care to his patients at a price they can afford. This allows all ages to discover and experience how great Chiropractic care is for their overall health. He enjoys educating his patients and helping them realized that Chiropractic is not just for removing pain and symptoms but helping the body function at its highest level possible.
He lives locally with his wife Amy and their two daughters Jordan and Erica. Dr. Long enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching Chicago sports and movies. He loves playing outdoor sports such as tennis, golf and basketball. When he has the time he likes cooking and BBQ with his smoker.
Dr. Derek Baron was born and raised in a small town in Rhinelander, WI (Home of the Hodags) and as you can imagine he is a BIG fan of the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers - go easy on him!
Dr. Baron graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1997 and has practiced in Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida and back here in Illinois where he has landed here with us at The Joint in Wheaton.
Dr. Baron's career has taken him from working in a hospital with an orthopedic surgeon running the rehab department to opening his own multi-disciplinary practice in Rhinelander with his wife, Theresa who is a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer. Dr. Baron and his wife were the medical staff for a couple of high schools and took care of the athletes in the training room as well as at all the sporting events.
Dr. Baron has earned his Diplomate in Sports Chiropractic as well as his Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialists and he enjoys working with all populations and believes each one of has an inner athlete inside and can benefit from stretching and strengthening to keep ourselves flexible and strong our entire lives.
Dr. Baron lives in Naperville with his wife Theresa and their son, Reese and their pooch Scarlett. They all love watching their Wisconsin sports teams and especially those when they play against the Chicago teams. Dr. Baron loves being in the Northwoods of Wisconsin as well as enjoying both the City Life and Outdoor Life Chicago has to offer.
Dr. Connor Yarbrough D.C. was born and raised in the rural town of Paris, Texas. Dr. Yarbrough graduated from the University of North Texas in 2015 with a B.A. in Biology. After graduation he attended Parker University in Dallas, TX where he received a B.S. in Human Anatomy, a B.S. in Health & Wellness, as well as his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2019. While at Parker University, Dr. Yarbrough was the President of the Student American Chiropractic Association for 2 years. He travels to Washington, D.C. annually to discuss chiropractic with members of Congress and propose ways to expand public access to treatment.
Dr. Yarbrough has been treating patients in Chicago, IL since 2019. He has treated a range of patients from infants to geriatric. Dr. Yarbrough has additional training in myofascial release, Activator protocol, and physiotherapy. Having worked for 4 years in Emergency Departments in local Dallas hospitals, Dr. Yarbrough knows the importance of conservative treatment options to reduce the use of opioids and surgery when appropriate. Dr. Yarbrough joined The Joint in 2021 to further his mission of introducing conservative chiropractic care to as much of the population as possible.
In his free time, Dr. Yarbrough enjoys travel, literature, and spending time with his two dogs Newton and Mushroom.
