Dr. Ryan Hosler joined The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2024 when he began serving residents in Fort Wayne, where he relishes the opportunity to do the work he finds so rewarding.

“I love helping my patients feel better through chiropractic adjustments because it allows them to start moving with less pain,” he says. “I believe that movement is medicine and amazing things happen when we're able to start moving more and being more active.”

Dr. Ryan, as his patients call him, loves providing pain relief to patients who haven't found relief elsewhere. “It gives them hope to continue working conservatively on overcoming their issues before resorting to surgical interventions,” he says.

A Fort Wayne native, Dr. Ryan practiced in Tampa, Fla. before returning to Indiana. He married his high school sweetheart, Jen, and the couple has two dogs. Dr. Ryan enjoys lifting weights, boating, and relaxing at the lake with his family.

He attended Indiana University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. He got a Doctorate of Chiropractic at National University of Health Sciences in Florida.

“I knew chiropractic was the career for me after my own experience with chiropractic care in high school,” he says. “I was struggling with intermittent lower back pain and chiropractic care provided me with almost immediate relief, allowing me to become active again and work on building back my strength.”

“I love meeting new people where they are and helping them map a path to achieving their health and fitness goals,” he says. “I enjoy seeing people improve with each visit and returning to doing activities they love.”

Dr. Devin, as his patients call him, grew up in Van Wert, Ohio. “I met a chiropractor who helped my dad after he had a work injury and that inspired me to work in this field,” he says.

His wife, Darcy, holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. “She is an amazing friend, musician, and mother to our two children,” Dr. Devin says. “We love going on hikes, playing sports, and exploring nature. I also love working out, being with my family, cooking homemade meals from scratch, and playing music. All these things make life amazing!”

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Bluffton University where he studied Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, and Sports Related Injuries. He earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic at the University of Western States in Portland, Ore.

Dr. Devin was inspired to pursue the field when he met a chiropractor who was able to help his father after a work injury. “My dad had multiple surgeries and did not have much improvement in his overall pain levels,” he says. “He began going to the chiropractor, getting acupuncture and massage therapy, and he started to get his life and joy back. This showed me the true power of these modalities.”

One of Dr. Devin’s most memorable work experiences involved treating a semi-professional baseball player while he was a chiropractic intern. “He had a chronic wrist issue which was severely affecting his ability to throw and bat,” he says. “After a variety of consistent treatment over a two-month time period he was able to return to play, which was absolutely inspiring and amazing to see.”

If he wrote an autobiography, Dr. Devin would title it Look Up. “I think we can get so caught up in the day-to-day busyness of life, all the things that compete for our time and energy,” he says. “We can forget to pause, look up, take some deep breaths, and remember how amazing it is to exist on this beautiful planet.
