I have been to several local chiropractic offices and when I had some fairly severe pain I was frustrated that other offices could not get me in for over a week. The Joint offers walk-in service and on my first visit I was in and out in under an hour. On my second visit I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. At my "regular" chiropractor I would be in and out in about an hour and a half after the initial 3 hour intake visit. I have been very satisfied with not only the quality of chiropractic adjustment but also the respect for my time.

I’ve been to Dr. James DeCarlo twice now and have left with such relief after both visits! He’s friendly and personable, and shares his knowledge. I really feel listened to when I go for my adjustments. I’ve been having neck pain for over 3 years now that radiated into my entire right side (hip, shoulder). After my first adjustment, I was shocked at the lack range of motion I had learned to “deal” with over the years and how severe it had gotten. I had been scheduled for physical therapy for my shoulder, but my doctor recommended getting adjustment first-so I went for it and ended up canceling my PT-the pain is completely gone with just one visit! The building itself is clean, open and bright. The front desk staff have been wonderful (friendly and welcoming if I had questions). Parking is great, too!

I have a regular chiropractor that I go to every two weeks. But there have been times when my chiropractor has gone on vacation. The first time I went to The Joint was last summer during one of those vacations. I was in bad shape. I didn’t know how much it was going cost, but when you feel like you’re ready to keel over, you don’t really care. Dr. DeCarlo fixed me up. I have been back to see him on several occasions, most recently, last weekend (another plus being open on the weekend), when my regular chiropractor was gone or didn’t have office hours. Every time I walked out feeling better than when I walked in. I am a Medicare patient and they have a $29 fee for Medicare people. Right up my alley, so if you use The Joint like I do for a fill-in chiropractor, or choose them for your primary chiropractic care, I highly recommend The Joint Chiropractic and Dr. James DeCarlo. They’ll keep you feeling good.

For a value of a little over $200 you're given 6 adjustments that you can use over a span of a generous term. Most chiropractors charge exuberant rates for 1 adjustment (often exceeding 200 dollars). Decarlo is fair, accessible and readily engaged with all of his clients, as well as having a great price to quality ratio. I would wholeheartedly recommend his expertise to those who are looking to optimize their health or remedy a physical issues. His professionalism and cordial demeanor is really refreshing and gives a sense of ease when receiving the adjustments. I wasn't interested in a formal medical appointment and the traditional treatment that made me feel incapacitated in some way. I just needed a quick fix from a progressive but nagging work-related injury. Moreover, I like the name and vibe I was experiencing just from the promotion—the ease and efficiency of walk-in appointments at a great introductory rate. No insurance is needed; no commitment if you wish to discontinue at any time. It seemed too good to be true until I came in for care. Surprisingly, the atmosphere was great, and the service was even better. The waiting room was filled with people, young and old alike---all nationalities. The Joint is impressive, and the care the **DR. James DeCarlo is phenomenal. The space is reminiscent of a gym with an open floor concept. There's simple equipment where the Doctor does his magic. Despite the pulled curtain privacy we are accustomed to for medical attention, you don't need it there. The care is engaging, and the Doctor is very professional. It's like having a personal trainer guiding and coaching you to care for yourself while encouraging you to stop by anytime for an adjustment. I Love it, and the numbing and tingling of my extremities have subsided. I can sleep better now and feel comfortable traveling again. I highly recommend the Joint!

Dr. DeCarlo is thorough and knowlegable and takes the time to really understand what you need, specifically. He is patient and explains his theories before proceeding with the remedy and then gives you advice on what to do to maintain. Dr. Mitra's technique is like none that you have ever seen. The seated backpack adjustment (I really don't know the proper name for it) is life-changing. So much happened in so little time! Bones moved and relief set in. So for your neck, back, shoulders even sinuses (yes my allergies were killing me and I mentioned that in passing at the end of my adjustment and Dr. Mitra addressed the issue immediately)--no problem for them. They will have something that can help along with your own personal responsibility for your own health. Don't forget that you have to be invested in your own well-being and they can supplement that endeavor. They are technicians, not magicians!!! I was skeptical because I was used to paying many times more for chiropractic care. The office was far away. Then there was the endless hassle of scheduling and then arriving and waiting and waiting and waiting...not the case here at all. You can pop-in on zero notice (like when you drop a package at the UPS Store or come out of Wegmans with groceries) and get a quick adjustment. I don't usually engage in comments or recommendations and I certainly haven't been rewarded for doing this. However, I will make an exception and say that I highly recommend that you visit and give them a try. If this comment can help one person feel better, then it was worth the time I spent typing it...

The Joint chiropractor has been nothing but an amazing experience for me. This is my second month going into The Joint, and each and every time my problems are always solved. absolutely amazing! First of let me say I first went to Restoration Family Chiropractic and they quoted me at $2,145 for only FOUR MONTHS of treatment. Not only that but my first initial appointment was an hour JUST talking. My second appointment with them was another hour just talking. No adjustments whatsoever. Well I gave up on them and came to The Joint and I am so so thankful I did! Dr DeCarlo is amazing. He spent about 5-10 minutes talking about goals and issues and the rest of the appointment he was adjusting me. Their highest plan is $499 for 20 adjustments and compared to Restoration Family’s 32 adjustments for $2,145 that’s a steal!!!!! And he ACTUALLY ADJUSTED ME!!! And did amazing. I’m paying for the wellness plan which is $79 for 4 adjustments per month and that’s awesome! I was always very tentative waking up steps because my left hip kept me from going up them normally and I was never aware of doing that until after my appointment at The Joint. I went to go up my steps and kind of paused and cringed but when I set my foot down I felt zero discomfort whatsoever after my adjustment with Dr DeCarlo. Even though I was never consciously aware of taking steps with caution before this (because it was just normal for me…) and being able to walk up them and not feel pain like I had been was so amazing! Being able to walk, stand, bend over, squat down and chase my kid around while also being pregnant and feeling none of the pain and discomfort I’ve always felt was such a godsend!!!! I can’t believe I haven’t come here sooner and will absolutely be returning. Lower back pain is a killer when pregnant but after leaving this office it finally went away. I could cry I’m so happy! I had been in sever pain in the muscles between my left shoulder-blade for the last 5 days and im talking like an 8 on the pain scale, it had been unrelenting to the point where every movement I made sent shocks throughout my body making work extremely difficult and sleep nearly impossible. I had tried everything, stretching, hot/cold baths, ice and pain meds barely gave me any sort or reprieve, my boss saw how much pain I was in and advised me to visit The Joint Chiropractics before trying anything else so I did, Best decision of my life! The doctor examined me and could tell how much pain I was in, and to be honest I didnt thing any sort of relief to come from this but I was desperate to have anything make the pain stop even if it was for a few hour, after the adjustment I was still in pain but there is one thing I didnt notice right away and that was the fact that the pulsating pain had stopped and my mobility was better! the pain went from an 8 to a 5 after just one adjustment and it only got better as the night progressed, the pain slowly began to subside and by the end of the night my pain was at a 3! I couldnt believe it and I still have a hard time doing so but the results speak for themselves, it was the first night I was finally able to get uninterrupted sleep and this morning aside from a little stiffness where the pain had originated it all but dissipated. The doctor and the staff where beyond welcoming and if find yourself in the same boat I was in please please please give this place a try! 11/10 would highly recommend!

Amazing! I can’t thank the staff at the Frederick office enough! I had this one spot in my mid back in my right rib area that has been killing me! On my first visit I saw DR. Decarlo and he is as awesome. He was able to adjust my upper and mid back and I left the office feeling wonderful. I highly recommend him. On my second visit I saw Dr. Grove. At first I was a little hesitant bc I only wanted to see Dr. Decarlo but that one spot in my back right rib area was still in a lot of pain. I went ahead and let Dr. Grove do her thing and upon my examination I could tell she knew what she was doing.. I told her about my pain area and immediately after adjusting my upper and mid back she said lay on your side… I did. She asked me again where was my pain spot and I told her, my right rib area. She said take a deep breath and exhale and POP!!! She literally hit the spot I was complaining about and the pain INSTANTLY!!!! Went away! Like magic. I loved it!!! I will definitely be seeing both Dr. Grove and Dr. Decarlo again! They are both great and know what they are doing. Staff was friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable. The front desk was very pleasant and willing to help with my questions of the paperwork. The chiropractor walked me through everything and explained the process & the reasons behind it all so well I felt safe & secure through it all.
