Dr. Sowada says his a-ha moment in the chiropractic field didn’t occur until after he started practicing. “Once I started adjusting people, and helped them get better from their pains that no other healthcare provider could help them with, was when I knew I had made the right choice,” he says. “It’s incredibly satisfying to adjust someone and providing the patient relief from their pain.

“I often joke when I leave the house by making the comment ‘gotta go save some lives.’ I may not be physically saving someone from death but I may be giving someone their life back by improving the quality of their life with chiropractic and, in turn, they may be doing things they may not have thought possible again. Just doing the Lord’s work!”

Dr. Sowada shares his time with “the most photogenic dogs ever,” he says. “Marley, an English retriever mix, is the chill cuddly one, and Khali, the Labrador/husky mix, is the spunky energetic one.”

He likes working at the Bloomington clinic and providing a great service to his patients. “I love the network of many offices across the country, the very affordable wellness rates, our appreciation for those in the military by offering the military discount, and lately the app being able to see wait times and the current doctor on for the day,” Dr. Sowada says. “But mostly I like the electronic software we use for our notes and being able to do straight chiropractic.”

Awesome went in for lower back pain, Dan and Kim Greeted me with smiles. Back pain was almost unbearable at times. My sleep was affected as well. I’m a truck driver so there’s a lot of stress on my back and joints in general. I went in for the first time and adjustment took 5-7mins and I was out. It’s magic! It’s insane! I feel so much better. This is my favorite joint location in the twin cities area. Alex is truly the best chiropractor I've ever had. He's kind, attentive, and excellent at what he does. If you want those deep cracks, he's your guy. I have fibromyalgia and my weekly visits keep my body pain in check. While they don't take insurance, they do take HSA/FSA; I'd recommend the $80/month option where you can go 4 times a month for about $20 a visit, cheaper than any copay you'd pay anywhere else.

The front desk receptionist, Ann, is such an asset to The Joint! I called prior to coming in and she was great on the phone and even better in person- she’s warm, welcoming, connects with clients and takes personal ownership of the experience, I will go back specifically because of the experience she gives. The doctor I saw today isn’t their primary and was okay, he wouldn’t necessarily bring me back but the convenience and service Ann gives convinced me to sign up for their membership.

I like the service at The Joint. I am disappointed that the app is no longer available. I felt this was a huge advantage to be able to see when the busy times of day were and plan my visits during the lulls. I felt I attended more frequently when the app was available. I went this cheap route. I came in with discomfort and max pain of 8 after an 8 hour shift. Now I’m in a lot of pain and after a 6 hour shift I was a 10 on the pain scale and was almost in tears. I went back another day to complain and they kept saying it was normal to have soreness. I insisted it wasn’t soreness, that I was in a lot of pain. The chiro there that day wasn’t the same I had. He said I should see the first chiro because he would know what he did to me. Then they continued to say he is a traveling chiro and doesn’t have weekday availability for 2 weeks. I went to a new, more reputable chiro and he said my back was in very awful shape. That he has had to fix a few people injured by The Joint. Do NOT go here. Spend the extra dollars and go to a real chiropractor.

It is hard not to be angry when there is no chiropractor until 1037, when I left for a different location. The receptionist is wonderful. They are lucky to have her. It was so stressful wanting to be angry, but looking into her eyes, with her soft voice and perfect everything, I couldn't stay angry. So confusing.

My mother recently went in for what would have been her first visit. The first thing the receptionist asked her was if she was "dealing with an insurance company or what" which is when my mother informed her that she has Medicare but would just be paying in cash. The second the word Medicare came into play the receptionist cut off my mom mid sentence and said she would have to go consult with the doctor first. The doctor then comes out and tells my mom they legally can't work with Medicare patients even though my mom had repeatedly informed both the doctor and receptionist that she had money and wanted to pay cash. This place is clearly in it for just the mone. They either lie and have false advertising when they say they don't deal with insurance or they lied straight to my mother's face because they believed she was poor and had no money simply because she uses Medicare for insurance. I would rate negative stars if I could.

I would never recommend this establishment. Their only priority is money and not the well being of their patients. They also have false advertising and simply pick and choose at their own discresion who they will treat or not treat based off of their own judgemental opinions.

To be honest, I’m downright shocked at all the good reviews. I left in tears. I walked in knowing EXACTLY what was wrong with me and the Dr had me do these “ortho tests” (aka provocative tests) that elicited zero response. I came home to look them up because my pain is quite high and they * should have* elicited a response only to find out that all the tests were done for LOW BACK PAIN when I specifically said it was SACROILIAC JOINT PAIN. Seriously? The treatments done gave me ZERO relief. I thought I could use this place as a back up if my regular chiro couldn’t get me in but this was a fricken joke!!! If I had gone in with no idea what my pain was from- what exactly would they have done for me? I came in KNOWING what it was from and he couldn’t help me. Unreal and a total waste of time and money.

Today I went in to this clinic for what would have been my first appointment. I arrived at 3:15, filled out my paperwork and the woman at the front said he was just finishing with two new people and I would be next. A man comes in after and she lets him know that there’s 2 people finishing, me and then him so there’d be a wait. It’s now 4pm the chiropractor finishes with the two he had in back and comes out only to call back the man who walked in AFTER me. I left the clinic. I will say, the woman at the front desk was fantastic. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable.

Big fan of Dr. Lo! Thorough, knowledgable, responsive and professional. Dr. Lo has been taking such great care of my teen athlete. He explains everything to us and really asks to know and listens. My teenager prefers to see Dr. Lo because she trusts his expertise and skills...and she feels that he cares about her. When we went today the receptionist was stacking clients in multiple beds in the treatment area and it made both my daughter and I feel uncomfortable. It felt rushed, unfriendly and zero respect for any degree of privacy. That has never happened before and it seemed very disrespectful to the clients and Dr. Lo.

Performs much needed muscle work along with adjustments. The other doctors in both Apple Valley & Eagan are great too, shout out to Dr. Mitch also. and the office staff is always friendly. I want to give Dr. Lo a 5 stars, for me he’s the best. He really takes his time and very professional. I’ve been going back and forth at The Joint for couple of years now and I’ve been fan of it especially when I met Dr. Lo. He knows what I need and explain why I experiencing it, he gives time to know the client and determine the root cause of my issue and give some advise. 4 stars for The Joint, very convenient... I can just walk in, but I’m not into the app because the business’ signature is walk in - first come, first serve. I was not aware of the app, I noticed people that pumped ahead of me in the past but I didn’t pay attention until a week ago. The incident was posted here by another client and I was the woman that he was referring to. I contacted the management regarding that situation but I never received any reply from them. Thank u.

Swiped in waited while a mother and her kids were worked on. So waiting almost 15 minutes. No front desk help since I walked in. 10 minutes after i swipe in 2 women come in and swipe in. When chiropractor gets finished with family he doesnt even come out front, just takes the woman he could see from down the hallway. I'm still waiting in the lobby and it has been 25 minutes. 3 others in the lobby besides myself and one guy standing at from counter with nobody to help him. He just got frustrated and walked out. Not to sure I will give this location another chance...I ended up leaving because it was taking so long. Never even seen what the chiron looked like cuz he never showed his face out in the front. This location is a joke!

I had sciatica in my right leg for 2 years. It was horrible and only kept getting worse. Besides surgery, I had tried everything with no results. I truly thought I was destined to live with this pain for the rest of my life. It hurt to stand, walk, sit, and to lay down. I was in pain 24/7. I decided to try chiropractic as a few people recommended it. I picked the Joint for its reasonable pricing and the flexibility of being able to just stop in whenever was convenient for me without having to schedule an appointment and being able to go to any of the many locations that were located by me. I went consistently every week and after a couple months it paid off! All of a sudden, one day, I realized for the first time in years I was finally pain free. It has been 4 months and I have had no sciatica symptoms or pain. I continue to go every week to keep everything in order. My husband has the monthly plan and loves it. He goes faithfully every week, locations and hours make it easy to get in and out. Signing in on the app makes it quicker, except if there is a new patient being registered. That scenario creates a back log. But this is not a regular occurance. The care is ok. Definitely a wide range of thoroughness between doctors. Every other time I have been adjusted at a different chiropractor they have done a specific hip/lower back adjustment that’s very helpful for me but for some reason I have been told by some docs at the joint that it’s not necessary for me. I’m not sure what to think there. I would say it’s worth the price point if you need regular adjustments.

Do not trust The Joint clinics. My pain got worse after seeing them. I went there and the Woodbury location. Almost every time I came in they had a new chiropractor there. they cycled through them like crazy. They also crack everyone the exact same way, regardless of what your issues are. I would explain to them what was going on and they would say "yup yup okay" and crack me the same way they did before. I decided to cancel as I felt worse every time I went. On top of it all they were jerks when I canceled, they continue to email promotions after I have clicked unsubscribe to their emails, yet I keep getting them... Because they keep adding me back! I work in marketing I know what they're doing. I emailed them multiple times to take me off, no reply, I kept getting emails. I finally had to block their emails. Go elsewhere!! How can you get results when you are working with a new person every time!?

DO NOT GO! UNSAFE! REFLARED OLD INJURIES! DANERIOUS!!! I am a massage therapist specializing in injuries. I was having general discomfort from past injuries and went to this location in stead of my reguar chiro due to location. WORST ADJUSTMENT EVER. I specifically told him about my injuries and he said he understood then adjusted me in the way it would cause harm. I told him about my dislocated knee and he bent it around and used the direct pressure metal instrument directly on the location of the torn ligament. This is highly dangerious. It causes harm and not help. He did five other SERIOUS 'no no's ' for my case. I walked in with minor discomfort (like just uncomfortable) and walked out literally limping and needing to apply ice to aggrivated tendons and muscles that had immediately flare and swell within the hour. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE! I HAD JAMES. DO NOT SEE HIM WHATEVER U DO. I went to my regular guy three days after and he was shocked that this man would do the technique he used with my injures. I had gone from just uncomfortable to limping, swollen, flared out injures, headache from incorrect adjustment on neck with my injuries, and extreme sharp pain in my low back and tail bone from incorrect adjustment for my injuries. DO NOT GO TO SEE JAMES AT THIS LOCATION!

Tried this place a few years ago with mixed results and decided to try it again as it is much cheaper than the chiropractor I had been seeing. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I gave an extra star because there is 1 chiropractor (refuse to call these guys doctors) that knew what he was doing. That was 1 out of 4. What a waste of time and money. If you have real problems like anything other than a kink in your neck, steer clear of this place!

I've had nothing but great results with every maintenance adjustment that I receive. I find it hard to believe that any of the doctors would cause harm to an injury during an adjustment as this is a maintenance clinic. They refer patients with injuries to another doctor or a chiropractor specializing in injuries and physical therapy. If you are going in for an injury maybe you need a little more than an adjustment. Great place to go to keep up on your overall spine/joint health and your mobility. They have a few different affordable options and are constantly doing promotions so you can spend a fraction of the cost elsewhere and go more often. Highly recommend

Was visiting Minneapolis this weekend and wanted to stop in for an adjustment before a long day of walking. Called ahead of time on a Sunday to be sure that they would be open and there was no phone message saying that they would be closed. Looked online, also said open. Drove 20 min out of my way to get there and go figure they're closed. Thanks for being a convenient chiropractor.
