Dr. Brett Brodbeck, joined The Joint Chiropractic network in 2019 when he helped open the Grandview Clinic in Columbus. He has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Toledo, a Master’s Degree from Ohio University, and his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University.
“My favorite thing about being a chiropractor is getting people out of pain quickly and teaching them how to live pain-free. The other thing I like so much about chiropractic is bridging the gap between traditional medicine and alternative healthcare.”
Dr. Brodbeck grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and moved to Ohio to play football for the University of Toledo in 2007. An injury his junior year sidelined him and he spent countless hours doing Physical Therapy and rehab. “After being a 2 year starter, not being able to play due to injury was one of the worst things that could’ve happened. However, this sparked my passion for fixing injuries quickly and returning athletes to play in the most efficient way possible.”He enjoys playing guitar, singing, dancing, and having a good time. He likes to play golf, soccer, and volleyball. In his spare time, he likes to learn new things. Currently he is learning various programming and coding languages. “I am working on developing a STAR Therapy App to help people know what to do when they have injuries. I think the combination of healthcare and technology has the potential to make a global impact.” Dr. Brodbeck enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 daughters. “I really love taking ‘my girls’ to try new things. I like to expose them to various cultures, languages, and foods that they would not typically see.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Brodbeck enjoys traveling and has done many interesting things. He fondly recalls a month-long trip to Europe to play soccer as an eighth-grader. This included Germany, Amsterdam, U.K., Belgium, Spain, and France. “I was fortunate to get this cultural exposure at such a young age. For the first time, I was able to see how people lived outside of the United States. I loved my time in Europe! However, I was happy to return home and sink my teeth into a big juicy cheeseburger.”
He has also been scuba diving with sea turtles in Hawaii, swam with sharks in Puerto Rico, gone fly fishing in Wyoming and ridden snowmobiles in regions that seemed like they have been untouched by man.
“While these once in a lifetime experiences were truly amazing, some of the fondest memories and experiences I have had happened right here in Ohio.” He is a Member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of the St. Joan of Arc parish in Powell, OH. “Being in the Knights of Columbus gives me opportunities to volunteer and help others. I like to bring ‘my girls’ with me and have found that some of our best memories are from when we are serving others.”
Born and raised in Wheeling, WV, I grew up playing lots of sports including baseball, basketball, and football. I am the youngest of three children including a sister two years older and a brother five years older. It was especially nice having an older brother to teach me about sports. My mother and father both succumbed to cancer at the tender young age of 41 and 57 respectively, which shaped my passion for health.
Over the years I have mentored under Dan Riley, a former NFL strength and conditioning coach of 30+ years, read countless articles and books about health, nutrition, and wellness.
My undergraduate degree was from Brown University in Economics, which led to a successful career as a financial planner for 20+ years. Having had a positive experience with Chiropractic when sciatica temporarily sidelined my amateur career as a triathlete, Chiropractic became the career path that I chose to pursue. I enrolled at Life University in Marietta, GA and acquired my degree as a chiropractor because the chiropractic lifestyle matches my philosophy perfectly. I am excited about my career as an associate with The Joint Chiropractic and the ability to help many people with their pain and wellness goals.
My hobbies include doing triathlons, running, biking, Nautilus high intensity strength training, music (classic rock), sports with my kids, nurturing my Christian walk, watching movies, college football, and reading/applying personal development books.
Dr. Jennifer Wente-Moeller joined The Joint in 2019. She also maintains a private practice in Columbus. Dr. Moeller has been practicing chiropractic since her graduation from the National University of Health Sciences in 1997. She graduated Summa Cum Laude for both her bachelors and doctorate degrees. She attended the University of Cincinnati for undergraduate education. She has previously practiced in both Cincinnati and Dayton.
Dr. Moeller maintains active membership with the Ohio State Chiropractic Association, the Central Ohio Chiropractic Association, and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She is currently working toward her Diplomate in Acupuncture. Lifelong learning is a passion for Dr. Moeller, and she takes all she learns and applies it to helping her patients.
When not at work, you can find Dr. Moeller out on the trails of an area park, biking, camping, or cooking. She loves to exercise, especially if it takes place outside. When relaxing, you will find her curled up with a book. Family life is Dr. Moeller’s greatest enjoyment. She loves spending time with her husband, Keith, and young son. She is becoming a true “soccer mom!”
Things You Might Not Know…
Summer is Dr. Moeller’s absolute favorite time of year. As a former lifeguard and swimming instructor, it is still hard to get her out of the pool. She and her son are both big water slide fans!
Raising money for Breast Cancer research is a passion of hers. After losing her sister to breast cancer and testing positive for the BRCA1 mutation, the fight to end breast cancer is a personal one. She is a team captain for “Save the Mommies” each year in the Columbus Komen Race for the Cure.
Dr. Moeller is one of 4 girls in her family. No sons for the Wente parents! However, they have made up for it with their 9 grandsons!
If you went into Dr. Moeller’s house, you would find very little “stuff.” She isn’t much of a decorator, nor does she collect anything. She feels that life should be about doing things, not having things. You would also find that her father made about half of the furniture. Having a woodworker in the family is a huge bonus!
