Dr. Lilli Benck obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2018 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2018 where she also majored in Biological Science and minored in Anthropology. She resides in Northeast Ohio with her partner, Daniel, and dog, Lincoln. In her free time, she can be found hiking, traveling, trying out new local eats and binge-watching Harry Potter movies.
Dr. Lilli was intrigued by the Chiropractic field because of how diverse it is. “No two chiropractors are the same’”, she says. “There have been so many brilliant ideas and treatment protocols that have developed from that diversity. It is a constantly changing field”. When she knew Chiropractic was indeed her calling, she was a student working at a student clinic. One of her favorite professors brought his wife in with extreme back pain from throwing her back out. Dr. Lilli spent time working on her and by the end of the appointment she was upright, walking around and pain was down to a minimum. She says it was “awesome to see, firsthand, how much of an impact we can have on our patients”.
Dr. Lilli joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2020. She says, “the best part of working at The Joint is that every patient that I have met is happy to be there and dedicated to their own health”.
Dr. Brian Mles joined the family of The Joint Chiropractic healthcare providers in 2019 when he began working at the Avon and Parma locations. He attended Ohio State and Youngstown State universities and attained a bachelor’s degree in biology. He went on to get his doctorate of chiropractic at National College of Chiropractic/National University of Health Sciences.
“The best thing about being in the chiropractic field is helping people achieve a higher quality of life and educating patients on how to also help themselves,” Dr. Miles says. “I love seeing people smile through chiropractic care.”
A product of Northeast Ohio, he has practiced in Youngstown, Cleveland, Brunswick, Bedford and Norton.
“In my spare time, sports are a big part of my life,” he says. “Coaching my sons in football and baseball and attending their various games and matches in lacrosse and wrestling are my favorite hobbies.”
When he’s not watching or coaching his kids, his family likes watching their favorite sports teams -- the Browns, Indians, Cavaliers and Buckeyes.
They even named their dog Buckeye, although their turtle, Squirtle, is named after a Pokemon character because their son is such a big fan.
“I became intrigued by chiropractic after I suffered a back issue in high school while playing basketball,” Dr. Miles says. “Adjustments helped me get back and stay on the court. That’s when my desire to become a chiropractor was born.”
He’s excited about working in the Avon and Parma communities.
“What is great about The Joint is that the care is adjustment-focused -- that’s the root of chiropractic care,” he says. “The Joint team is comprised of high-energy people focused on serving their communities.”
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Miles says the one thing he always tries to have handy is water. “It doesn’t necessarily have to be in the fridge,” he says. “I do love a cold bottle of water, but I can drink it at room temperature too -- it's just nice to have it cold!”
He says that if he could bring any four people from history together for the dinner party of his dreams, he would include motivational authors “Zig Ziglar and Wayne Dyer to soak up their wisdom and knowledge, and Ohio State football coach Woody Hayes and Michigan coach Bo Schembechler to listen to them talk football and life.”
As for the coolest experience he could bring to that conversation, Dr. Miles says it’s pretty simple: “Everything in my life pales in comparison to being a father -- it’s the coolest thing I will ever do until I become a grandfather!”
Dr. Lawrence Crockett was raised on a hobby farm in Bellefontaine, OH. He enjoyed helping his grandparents on their farms; and going to auctions with his dad to buy tractors for resale, & riding dirt bikes. After being dissuaded that becoming a farmer was a whole lot more work & worry than just driving tractors, he earned an Accounting degree from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in 1989; and worked as a bank auditor for Star Bank in Cincinnati followed by a position as Plant Accountant for a large grain company (Central Soya.) After totaling his restored classic show car (1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme) in a tragic car accident while sleep deprived as an auditor (and initially presumed dead); a Chiropractor helped him recover from injuries that other providers couldn’t.
While planning to go back to college for an MBA; his Chiropractor inspired him to consider a different career path. After much contemplation over which choice to make, he realized that becoming a doctor of Chiropractic would allow him to transition his passion for restoring that classic car into using his hands, heart, and mind to help restore the health of others; the way Chiropractic had for him.
Dr. Crockett graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in April 1996 and practiced in Pittsburgh until 2004. He took the opportunity to do internships with two different doctors teaching unique techniques before moving to NC. His new plans were interrupted with the news of his father’s brain tumor; which brought him back home to Ohio. Since then he has provided vacation “relief coverage” for hundreds of Chiropractors all over Ohio & NC; and has enjoyed the variety of seeing different places as well as learning techniques & wisdom from his clients. This unique opportunity has also given him the perspective to glean the likes & dislikes from countless patients; that has helped earn him a great reputation among his colleagues & state association… as well as many requests from their patients to be notified when returning next time. He also does home visits for select families with a homebound relative. In addition to utilizing full spine adjusting with multiple techniques (manual, drop table, and various instruments), he is also trained in extremity adjusting.
He has lived in Vermilion, OH (lake Erie) for 13 years and enjoys blues music festivals, hiking, woodworking, fishing, and antique car & tractor shows.
