Dr. Jerry Johnson, known to his patients as Dr. Jerry, is a dedicated and compassionate chiropractor with over 30 years of experience in the field. A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1992, he previously attended Park College of Kansas City, where his passion for health and wellness took root.
Dr. Jerry's journey into chiropractic care began as a teenager in Wichita, Kansas, where he received his first adjustment. However, it was a lower back injury sustained while working out that truly solidified his belief in the power of chiropractic. Experiencing firsthand how adjustments could resolve pain without invasive treatments, he became committed to helping others achieve the same relief and recovery.
Now, as part of the Norman clinic, Dr. Jerry is excited to serve his patients, guiding them toward a healthier, pain-free life. He specializes in treating individuals who have suffered from chronic pain for years, educating them on the path to recovery through trust, faith, and the effectiveness of chiropractic care. With a deep sense of compassion and empathy, he strives to build meaningful connections with his patients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered in their healing journey.
Dr. David Clawson, D.C., known by his patients as Dr. David, brings a strong sense of purpose, compassion, and commitment to his chiropractic care. A proud graduate of Parker University (December 2022)—where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Anatomy—Dr. David is thrilled to serve the community through The Joint Chiropractic, drawn by its patient-centered, walk-in model that makes care both accessible and affordable.
Growing up in Oklahoma City, Dr. David was surrounded by a family immersed in the world of chiropractic—eight uncles, three aunts, and many cousins all dedicated to helping others through drug-free, non-invasive, hands-on care. Inspired by their passion and deeply moved by his own experience of getting regular chiropractic adjustments as a child, he saw firsthand how spinal health could reduce illness, improve performance, and enhance life naturally. He rarely got sick or injured, even while playing contact sports like football, basketball, and soccer—something he credits to having a healthy spine and nervous system.
Dr. David believes the greatest gift of chiropractic is the ability to help people feel better without relying on medications or surgery. He finds immense reward in watching patients regain mobility, eliminate pain, and get back to doing what they love. Equally meaningful to him is the ability to build long-term relationships with patients, understanding their unique journeys and walking beside them in their path to wellness.
One particularly impactful experience was treating a dental hygienist suffering from chronic mid-back pain and numbness in her arm—common issues for those in her profession. Through a combination of chiropractic adjustments, ergonomic education, and targeted stretches, Dr. David helped resolve her symptoms within weeks, allowing her to return to work pain-free and with renewed joy. Moments like these fuel his dedication and reinforce his belief in the power of chiropractic to transform lives.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. David enjoys an active lifestyle. He loves walking his dog, exploring nature trails, and connecting with his neighborhood. He also participates in CrossFit and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, activities that challenge him physically and mentally while reinforcing the importance of mobility, strength, and balance—principles he carries into patient care. A devout member of the Church of Christ, he attends Sunday services and weekly Bible studies, grounding his life and work in faith, compassion, and community.
