Meet The Doctors
Dr. Nick McCrory graduated from University Western States in 2022. He joined the team in 2024 to offer high quality care that is cost effective and convenient! He holds a diplomate in chiropractic neurology. He was attracted to chiropractic as he wants to help patients in a natural way. He enjoys hiking and camping in the summers and snowboarding in the winters. He has a hairy baby who is a silver lab and enjoys taking him to the park to play fetch or to the rivers to swim! Him and his Fiancé are getting married in 2025 back in their hometown in Ventura County, CA!
Dr. Kent Achtyes graduated from University of Western States in 1987. He grew up in Denver seeing the chiropractor routinely thanks to mom and dad’s direction. Dr. Kent was in his own private practice for more than 30 years before coming to The Joint. This has been a great fit as Dr. Kent’s wellness philosophy of regular, routine adjustments align perfectly with The Joint. In his free time Dr. Kent enjoys bike riding, travelling with family, playing music, photography, and staying active at the gym. Dr. Kent knows the value of adjustments, movement, and generally staying active and is thrilled to be here at The Joint helping patients reach their personal wellness goals.
Dr. Scott Carrier is a 2007 Western States Chiropractic graduate. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we share a full house with five wonderful children. I volunteer at the local elementary and high school, coach my daughter’s soccer and help with baseball games, softball, etc. I believe being completely involved in my children’s life is important to them but more important for me. I love hiking, camping, geocaching and being out on the river. I have never felt more at home than here in the Northwest.
I have always wanted to be involved in healthcare. I am happy and proud I chose chiropractic to serve my community. Improving one’s quality of life and helping one patient at a time is by far the most rewarding thing to me. I look forward to showing everyone in the community what chiropractic can do for them. People need to know how important natural wellness is for your body and life.
Dr. Karena Stalnaker is a 2021 graduate of the University of Western States with a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. Her journey to chiropractic care was inspired by her early experiences as a Chiropractic Assistant, which sparked her decision to transition from pursuing physical therapy to enrolling in chiropractic school.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Stalnaker enjoys embracing the outdoors through activities like camping, paddleboarding, and spending quality time with her dog—essentially, living the active lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest.
Alicia has been with Joint Ventures since 2020. Chiropractic has positively impacted her life as well as her family to learn about natural types of health care and pain management methods.
