Meet The Doctors

Dr. Christina Judon, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Clarksville

Hello, my name is Dr Christina Judon. I was a military kid who grew up in Clarksville, TN.

I love fitness! I enjoy running, hiking, biking and Crossfit. I coached Crossfit while in chiropractic school. In high school and in college, I competed in cross country and track. At Tennessee Tech, the 800 was my main event. To this day, I still have a special place in my heart for track. Being on a team, taught me how important it is not only to set goals and foster my own dreams but also to encourage and push others to do the same as well.

After college, I moved to Charlotte and worked as an Engineer and realized I wanted to do something that allowed me to help others on a more personal level. I started with small steps like getting my certification in personal training though Athletics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and a postural and motion certification with Egoscue Posture Therapy. I loved the small steps I had taken but decided it was time for a big leap into the service and healthcare industry so I went back to school full time at Sherman College in Spartanburg, SC and became a Doctor of Chiropractic.

I love my career! What I love most is helping others and seeing them move to a level of health and wellness beyond their expectations and dreams by simply taking a proactive approach to their health.

Dr. Rowen Pfeifer, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Clarksville

Dr. Rowen S. Pfeifer became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2019, and in 2021 became a franchise owner to serve residents in Belleview and Jackson.

“The best thing about being a chiropractor is helping patients regain their health and decrease their pain,” he says. “I love the virtually constant positive feedback we receive from patients on a daily basis. The response they give with the adjustment of almost every area is extremely rewarding.”

Dr. Rowen, as his patients call him, has practiced in the greater Nashville area since 1987. He grew up in Wisconsin loving sports and having the freedom to explore. He and his wife of more than four decades have two adult children and a bijon who loves to chase squirrels and deer in the yard. He likes to relax through music, which includes playing guitar, drums, and singing classic rock songs. In addition to working around the yard, he enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, and springboard and cliff diving.

Dr. Rowen graduated cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he received his doctorate, after attending two years of pre-med at Middle Tennessee State. “I learned about chiropractic while searching for the principles of health and healing,” he says. “I ended up with an issue that required chiropractic care, the issue resolved, and a few years later I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor.”

One of Dr. Rowen’s most memorable successes as a chiropractor took place when he was caring for a family who had a son who was a 12-year-old bed-wetter. “They had tried many options, without success,” he says. “After a short time of receiving adjustments, the bed-wetting stopped. He stayed under maintenance care for years. At age 18, he was a passenger in a van that flipped over resulting in trauma to the low back and a return of the bed wetting. We saw him more frequently for a short time and again resolved the issue.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

If he could bring together any four people from history for his ideal dinner party, Dr. Rowen would love to sit down with Albert Einstein, Jesus Christ, and Biblical heroes Moses and Abraham. “Talking science with Einstein would be amazing, but talking to the others about faith, commitment, love, and how to hear the Father’s still small voice would be life-changing,” he says.

Dr. Rowen says the coolest thing he has ever done was step out and shake things up. “I left a dead-end job at age 20 to play what’s now known as classic rock ‘n’ roll full-time on the road for three years,” he says. “Until then, I had never traveled more than an hour from where I was born. The experience helped me grow up and learn a lot about myself.”

The items that Dr. Rowen always keeps stocked in his kitchen are organic fruits and vegetables. “They’re always on hand at home so that I can make fruit smoothies and huge salads that I enjoy most every day of the week,” he says.

Dr. Lance Wittwer, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Clarksville

Dr. Lance Wittwer came to the Clarksville clinic location of The Joint Chiropractic in 2022, enjoying the role of local healthcare provider and doing the work he finds so fulfilling.

For Dr. Wittwer, the best aspects of serving his patients include “getting people better naturally, without the use of drugs and surgery, and establishing friendships.”

Originally from Indiana, where his father had a chiropractic practice, Dr. Wittwer previously worked in Jasper, Ind., Owensboro, Ky., Corpus Christi, Texas, and Knoxville, Tenn.

His wife, Carla, who loves to be with family and spend time outdoors, is a foster mom, and she is very good at fixing things. Their daughter, Lexi, loves music and dancing, playing basketball, and being outdoors. The family has a dachshund named Buster who loves to go for walks and play ball.

Dr. Wittwer went to Vincennes University and Scott College of Business in Indiana where he participated in peer review and specialized in medical compliance. He earned a Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

He was inspired to become a chiropractor from an early age. “I would watch my dad get people better naturally and wanted to do the same thing,” he says.

As a chiropractor at The Joint, Dr. Wittwer enjoys the relationships he’s established with residents of Clarksville.

In Case You Didn’t Know

He always has protein shakes available.

If he could design the perfect dinner party including four famous guests, Dr. Wittwer would invite:

● Jesus Christ - “I have many questions about life.”

● BJ Palmer - “To pick his brain on all things chiropractic.”

● Bill Phillips - “He started EAS supplements. I’d spend time talking and training with him.”

● Warren Buffet - “To talk about investing.”

One of the most meaningful experiences of Dr. Wittwer’s life was taking part in the Christian program Walk to Emmaus. “It showed how the world can be a better place when we help serve other people, and their love for us when we are served.”

Body for Life by Bill Phillips is one of Dr. Wittwer’s favorite books. “It’s a no-nonsense approach to fitness.”

Dr. Ryan Footit, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Clarksville

Dr Ryan Footit began his professional career in banking and finance. While climbing the corporate ladder in the banking world, he discovered Chiropractic to resolve his lifelong battle with migraines. At 28 he decided to go back to school to get his doctorate degree in Chiropractic. After graduation Dr Footit moved to Nashville and opened his private practice. He quickly realized he needed more education to run a business. He went on and earned his MBA.

After 5 years of private practice Dr Footit was sought out to run The Joint Chiropractic franchise that was opening in Nashville. Over the course of the last 8 years Dr Footit built The Joint franchise from 2 to 8 clinics in his operating unit.

During his tenure at the Joint Chiropractic, he was involved in all of the front end management, operations and marketing of the clinics. His roles included all aspects of Human Resources, all aspects of daily operations, and all aspects of patient services. He worked hand in hand with the corporate franchise marketing team to maximize the nationwide marketing campaigns on a local clinic level.

In January 2023 Dr Footit decided to follow his passion and return to teaching. Over the years he held positions in training and development and held adjunct faculty positions at various colleges. His greatest sense of accomplishment has always come from his role as a teacher, which is why he is now a full time faculty member at SHS in Health Sciences.

Dr. Andrew Mitchell, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Clarksville

Dr. Andrew Mitchell was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, NV and did his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada Reno. He attended Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA and graduated in 1996 with honors. Dr. Mitchell moved to Las Vegas with his wife and not only started a family, but also his chiropractic practice.

While practicing in Las Vegas for the past 25 years, Dr. Mitchell has had the opportunity to work on many different types of chiropractic patients; from individuals who were injured at work or in car accidents, people with various aches and pains, Las Vegas performers (including many from world renowned Cirque Du Soleil), and those just seeking chiropractic care to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Mitchell relocated to Tennessee in 2022 and is excited to be part of the team at The Joint Chiropractic.

Dr. Cory Oliver, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Clarksville

Dr. Cory Oliver is originally from Dickson, TN. After graduating from Dickson County High school, he decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee in 2013.

Throughout his studies, Dr. Cory developed a deep appreciation for complexity of the human body. With that appreciation and desire to positively influence the lives of others, he decided to attend Logan College of Chiropractic to receive his doctorate in chiropractic. Throughout his time at Logan, he continued to develop his passion and understanding of the human body’s amazing potential to heal and maintain itself. He has an extraordinary ability to serve in a holistic paradigm to help all types of cases, including headache/migraine relief, sciatica pain, neck pain, and low back pain through exceptional use of manual manipulation of the spine and knowledge of functional nutrition. In addition, he holds certifications in Webster technique & SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment).

When he is not taking care of people at the Joint. Dr. Cory can be found outdoors hiking, fishing, at the gym and spending time with Teddy his Chesapeake Bay retriever. He enjoys watching and following Tennessee Vols Football all year long. He also enjoys bowling on leagues throughout the year. He can be found spending time with his family and friends.

An interesting thing about himself is that he wants to hike as many 14ers as he can and travel all over the world.

Dr. Erika Rose, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Clarksville

Dr. Erika M. Rose, DC, was born in LA but raised in Burnsville, Minnesota. She has spent the majority of her life in San Diego, CA which she considers home. She attended the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse for her undergraduate degree where she triple majored in Political Science, English and Pre-Law. For her doctoral degree she attended the University of Southern California Health Science graduating in April of 2020.

Upon receiving her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Rose started her own practice Rose Chiropractic Care out in San Diego. She treated a variety of patients, the majority of whom were military or athletes. Her practice was unfortunately short-lived, due to the need to return back to Minnesota for family reasons. She was the lead Doctor in Plymouth, MN and then St.Paul, MN before making the move out to Nashville in April of 2024.

Dr. Rose does not have any human children but is a proud doggy momma of two, Chloe and Cobain. Chloe is Dr. Rose’s first rescue, a 12 year old pit bull who enjoys cuddling and kissing all the people. Cobain is her new rescue, a 10 month old Dutch Sheppard/Horse (he’s huge) mix. Cobain enjoys running, swimming and learning new tricks from Dr. Rose.

One of the coolest things she has ever done was took a trip to Belize where she had adventures in the jungle and stayed in a treehouse. She belayed down the side of a mountain into a black hole. She did a 5 mile cave hike that led to waterfalls that she had to climb up, then jump off! And inner tubbed down a river that had poisonous river snakes.

Dr. Nathaniel Dunsing was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, where he attended Aurora Christian High School. During high school, he played football and developed a passion for sports and health sciences. After graduating, he moved to Searcy, Arkansas, to pursue a degree in Exercise Science from Harding University. While at Harding, Nathaniel met his wife. It was during his time at Harding that he discovered his passion for chiropractic care, inspired by his high school football team doctor and his father-in-law who is a chiropractor.

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Nathaniel enrolled in Cleveland University Kansas City, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. During his time at Cleveland University, Dr. Nathaniel specialized in diversified, Gonstead and activator techniques. He saw firsthand how these techniques improved the quality of his patient’s lives.

When not caring for his patients at The Joint, Dr. Nathaniel cherishes the time spent with his wife and son. He enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, especially during football season, hiking, and boating. He also developed a passion for golf during chiropractic school, and plays a few rounds each month.
