Dr. Corey Veltum, D.C., was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his bachelor’s in science (B.S) with a specialization in Exercise Physiology. While attending undergraduate school he shadowed multiple doctors where he discovered chiropractic and fell in love with the profession. While working for a chiropractor he saw how many people the profession can help with chiropractic adjustments and physical medicine.
From there, he pursued an education in chiropractic at Logan University in St Louis, MO. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic in 2017. Treating people in school and outpatient clinics he grew a love for manual manipulation, helping people improve their wellness, and overall improvement in quality of life.
Dr. Corey has since worked with different ages and cases improving patient quality life through chiropractic care. He has worked and treated patients with degenerative disc disease, arthritic conditions, migraine relief, lower back pain and neck pain, and sciatica. He is continuing his professional career at The Joint Chiropractic on West End in Nashville Tennessee. Dr. Corey says the best thing about being in the chiropractic profession and being a chiropractor is “getting people moving pain free with chiropractic adjustments and doing what they love doing again.”
During his free time, Dr. Corey enjoys cooking, bike riding, and exploring Nashville, TN with his wife Lindy.
Dr. Matthew Johnson received his Bachelors in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2016. He then chose Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa to complete his Doctoral Studies and officially became a Chiropractor in March 2020. It is his mission to bring Chiropractic to as many people as possible and demonstrate the power of the human body when unrestricted by movement restrictions, muscle imbalances, and postural compensation.
Originally from Lisbon, IA he moved to Nashville to be closer to his family and his fiancé Kendall, the love of his life since 2016. He enjoys the milder winters, the changing of the leaves in the fall, and the vibrant city of Nashville. Dr. Matt enjoys fishing, jogging, and pretty much anything related to nature. When he’s not working or enjoying the outdoors, you can find him on the racquetball court, golfing, or playing table tennis. As a hobby, he collects retro video games, going all the way back to the Atari 2600 (c. 1977).
As a boy, Dr. Matt grew up on a farm in the blue-collar town of Lisbon, IA. He was a member of 4H and raised a variety of animals such as chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, and Black Angus cattle.
He believes in the value of hard work and self-improvement. Without it, there is no room to grow as a person. Through these values, he also believes that through the chiropractic adjustment, the all important mind-body connection can be restored. It is a vital step that can move people towards being the best version of themselves.
