Dr. Adam Wade became part of The Joint Chiropractic family of local healthcare providers in 2022 when he joined the Temple and Killeen clinic locations, where he finds the work rewarding.

“I love making a difference in the health and well-being of my patients,” he says. “I find a lot of satisfaction in helping people without the use of drugs to improve the quality of life one patient at a time.”

Born in Iowa, Dr. Wade moved to Austin in the late 1980s. His hobbies involve any outdoor adventure imaginable, including fishing, hunting, farming, and kayaking.

He earned an associate of science degree in production agriculture and a bachelor of science in aviation at Palmer college of Chiropractic and AAS Central Texas College. A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, Dr. Wade decided to become a chiropractor when he saw the benefits of his own treatment.

“After having back problems for years as a corporate restaurant general manager, chiropractic helped me get through my work week with minimal pain and dysfunction,” he says. “It allowed me to perform day-to-day tasks without pain and I wanted to do the same for others.”

Fresh fruit can always be found in Dr. Wade’s refrigerator. “Fruit seems to go with every meal!”

If Dr. Wade put together the ideal dinner party, he would invite Jesus, BJ Palmer, Tony Robbins, and Florence Nightingale. “They would bring knowledge in a broad spectrum of areas and create many talking points that have shaped me over the years.” One of the most important experiences of Dr. Wade’s life was becoming a father. “Not only has my life changed in a positive way, but it gives me the drive to do the best I can and be a great example in how to strive for your goals and help others with no expectations in return.”

Dr. Wade has an encouraging word for everyone who has a desire to grow. “It's never too late to follow your dreams!” he says. “We are capable of more than we can imagine if we are willing to put in the effort and focus needed!”

Dr. Emily Greer became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of local healthcare providers in 2020 when she began serving residents in the Waco area, where she continues doing the work she finds so rewarding.

“The thing I like most about being in the chiropractic field is helping people find relief from mild to severe pain without the use of drugs or surgery,” she says. “It’s gratifying to educate patients that chiropractic, along with exercise, nutrition, and counseling, are professions of health care by finding root causes of pain and problems so the body can use its innate intelligence to stay in a state of true health.”

Dr. Emily, as she is known to patients, grew up in Marshall but had family in Waco and visited the Heart of Texas regularly as a child; she has ancestral roots in the founding of the Waco Tribune Herald, Providence Hospital Cardiology Unit, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo.

She enjoys spending time with her German shepherd, Traeger, and family, which includes taking her grandchildren swimming and to the Cameron Park Zoo. Dr. Emily serves the community on city council, participates in church activities, and likes camping, hiking, traveling, and reading.

She went on to Parker Chiropractic College to get her doctorate in chiropractic. Dr. Emily attended Texas A&M where she majored in community health and minored in speech communication. She even had a spot on Texas A&M’s first organized dance team and performed at various campus events.

“My parents always took me to a chiropractor when I was growing up, for everything from a stomachache to acne to dancing injuries,” she says. “I always understood that the main hardware and communication from the brain to the rest of the entire body came out of the spinal cord by way of nerves that exit in-between the vertebral area and an impingement could hinder those signals and cause symptoms elsewhere in the body. Restoring those signals is vital health care. For instance, I always thought that if you have to take blood pressure medication to keep blood pressure down, that isn’t health care, it’s just maintaining symptoms; health care would be to find out how to have healthy blood pressure without relying on drugs to keep it down for you.”

She is grateful to treat patients at the Waco clinic location. “Dr. Drew does an excellent job of making his employees feel like we are all in this together,” she says. “We’re encouraged to take whatever time we need to connect with patients to help them get the best care and concern possible.”

She loves her health, but Dr. Emily admits that she also loves bacon and keeps it stocked in her refrigerator at home. “It makes everything taste better, and the smell of freshly cooking bacon brings back such vivid memories of my youth and waking up to my mom and dad cooking breakfast on Saturdays,” she says. “Both my parents are now deceased, so in some weird way it makes me feel closer to them through memories.”

If she could bring together any four people from history for a night of conversation, she would include “Mother Mary to have the conversation with the mother of all mothers who has lived through the highest of highs and lowest of lows of motherhood; St. Paul to hear how they would reminisce about Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection; Catholic theologian Dr. Scott Hahn, who would know what theological questions to ask them; and President John F. Kennedy because ... who doesn’t want to know?”

Dr. Emily loves to travel. “I spent a summer touring Mexico with a Mexican symphony orchestra and our college choir singing the mass in Latin through landlocked cities of Mexico from the capitol to orphanages in small villages,” she says. “I also spent time in Germany to see where my ancestors came from, and saw the Neuschwanstein Castle where Walt Disney got the idea for Cinderella’s castle.And I have been cliff jumping in Maui.
