Meet The Doctors

Dr. Brad Hendricks, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Cottonwood Heights

Dr. Brad Hendricks joined The Joint Chiropractic family in 2014 and became owner of the Cottonwood Heights clinic in 2015. A graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science degree in human biology, he received his doctorate of chiropractic from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1989.

“I love the natural side of healing,” Dr. Hendricks says. “I like how I can assist the body’s ability to heal and achieve balance.

“The other thing I really enjoy is working in an environment where most people leave with a smile on their face and feel good about coming to see me.”

He is happy to be in Cottonwood Heights. It’s been quite a trip to get here from the small farming community in Washington where he grew up.

“I worked for six years in Los Angeles after graduation,” Dr. Hendricks says. “I ran a couple personal injury and worker’s comp clinics and was a QME -- qualified medical examiner -- for the state of California. I moved to Salt Lake in 1993 and joined a large multi-disciplinary clinic with MD, DC, PT, massage, acupuncture and rehab treatments. In 2000 I opened a similar clinic in Draper, and practiced with my partners there for about eight years. I stopped practicing for a few years while I worked on a start-up company that did online wellness but I missed the patient interaction. So, when I saw The Joint model, it made sense to start practicing again.”

In his spare time, Dr. Hendricks loves to read “anything from novels to biographies to non-fiction,” he says. “I like to spend time outside biking, hiking and golfing. I also picked up the game of pickleball and enjoy playing as much as I can.”

He and wife Catherine -- they were college sweethearts -- have four grown children, a granddaughter, and a cat named Henry.

“I started school as a pre-med major and was planning on going to medical school, but after a time, I started thinking more about natural healing and chiropractic made sense,” Dr. Hendricks says.

Another thing that makes sense to him is The Joint Chiropractic.

“I like The Joint model and philosophy, that patients can get the care they need easily and affordably,” Dr. Hendricks says. “I like the simplicity of the practice, especially not having to deal with the hassles of insurance billing and coding, and I can focus only on patient care.”

In Case You Didn’t Know

Dr. Hendricks says he always has some baby back ribs in his refrigerator. “I love to smoke a rack of ribs anytime I want,” he says.

If he could share those ribs with any four people from history, he would guarantee himself a decent night of conversation.

“I would include Bono, who’s one of the greatest songwriters and rock singers,” he says. “I came of age in the ‘80s, so he’s one of my heroes. Brian Regan is one of the funniest comics of all time; I love to laugh and he would entertain me endlessly. Ben Shapiro is one of the smartest guys I’ve ever listened to and I would love to sit down with him and see if I could keep up. And finally, I would invite Leonardo DaVinci. He was the epitome of genius in so many areas, I would love to find out what his thought processes were.”

DaVinci would no doubt be impressed by the coolest thing Dr Hendricks has ever done.

“I had a competition ski boat for many years and I once learned to barefoot waterski,” he says, “and that is cool because it’s freaking barefoot waterskiing!”

Dr. Gary Davis, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Cottonwood Heights

Dr. Gary Davis grew up in Steamboat Springs, CO and attended the University of Colorado for his undergraduate studies. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life College of Chiropractic. He also received post-graduate certification in extremity adjusting, CCEP.

Dr. Davis has maintained a private practice in Salt Lake City since 1994 and we are pleased to welcome his knowledge and experience to The Joint Cottonwood Heights.

When not treating patients, Dr. Davis enjoys skiing, dirt bike riding, rock climbing and partaking in microbrew beers.

Dr. Alex Khanin, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Cottonwood Heights

Dr. Alex Khanin graduated as Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2000.

He has had extensive experience over his 20+ years, adjusting thousands of spines. He has worked with multiple Chiropractic clinics and has had exposure to multiple styles, techniques, and approaches to care. Dr. Khanin was the Chiropractor at Glide Memorial Church free clinic from 2001-2009, volunteering most of his time to give back to the ones in need and to gain experience working with a variety of cases and interesting and beautiful people. When he first graduated he took a mission trip to El Salvador and since has been to Russia and various parts of Europe, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Peru, and most recently the Philippines, and Rishikesh, India. With each travel experience, he has gained more knowledge and insight of the spirituality, psychology, and physical aspects of the healing process within that land and has taken back and incorporated various practices to enhance his unique service as a Chiropractor.

Dr. Khanin founded Momentum Chiropractic in California in 2003 to make available his unique approach to supporting and creating health, wellness, and vitality. He is now happy to bring his experience to The Joint Cottonwood Heights.

Dr. Michael Hill, D.C. is a Chiropractor, Clinic Director at Cottonwood Heights

The Joint Cottonwood Heights is excited to welcome Dr. Michael Hill to our practice. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will benefit our patients.

Dr. Michael Hill graduated Cum Laude from Los Angeles Chiropractic College and has been in practice for the past 17 years. He has worked in both private practice as well as being with The Joint for the past 8 years. He has a passion for routine maintenance chiropractic care & will recommend that routine care to every patient to keep their bodies functioning and working optimally.

In his free time, Dr. Hill spends as much time as he can with his 3 children and plays golf as much as possible (which unfortunately isn't much). A huge football fan, he is excited about returning to the Salt Lake area where he treated many High School athletes for years.
