He started out as a Pharmacy Technician where he met his wife, Kristie. They have now been married for 26 years. After the birth of his first child, he experienced severe neck pain. Doctors did not have any answers. His wife and brother-in-law suggested he go see a Chiropractor and the rest is history! He fell in love with natural healing and wants to help others experience the benefits of regular chiropractic care.

Dr. Mechling attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Anatomy degree, a certificate in pediatric chiropractic and his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He has been a Chiropractor for going on 20 years now. He has been a clinic chiropractor for various Joint Chiropractic locations and has decided to accept the position of Clinic Director at the new Ogden clinic. Robert, his wife Kristie, and 3 of his 4 children have lived in Ogden for 2 years, after “coming home” from their time in the Tucson, Arizona area. Robert has also worked in Senior Living as the Director of an assisted living community. He says, “It feels good to be back doing what I love, Chiropractic.”

Robert is a big Star Trek and Star Wars fan and enjoys taking rides in his Jeep. He is a smoker (of meat-that is one of his favorite jokes) and loves to share that hobby with friends and family. One of his greatest accomplishments in life was becoming a grandfather.
