    I was extremely disappointed with my visit to The Joint Chiropractic at Greenbier. I went in specifically because I had a painful muscle knot/trigger point underneath my right shoulder blade, hoping it could be evaluated and worked on. Unfortunately, the chiropractor never even attempted to examine or work on my shoulder. Instead, he was insistent on cracking my back. I specifically told him that I had previously been told I had a pinched nerve around my L3 lumbar area and that I did not want my back cracked. Rather than respecting my concerns, he told me that “pinched nerves aren’t real” and that bones are simply “not aligned.” The entire appointment lasted less than 10 minutes, and despite not addressing the issue I actually came in for, I was then told that I needed to come back twice a week for the next couple of weeks to get the problem fixed. My biggest issue was that I did not feel listened to. I clearly explained what was bothering me and what I was uncomfortable having done, yet neither my shoulder issue nor my concerns were addressed. I left feeling extremely disappointed and like I had paid for a treatment that did not address the reason I came in. I expected a much more thorough evaluation and, at minimum, for my concerns to be heard and respected.

    BEWARE—IT'S A SCAM. They get you to sign up for a package, and then they basically rob you. My husband and I went, and they told us to take a package, assuring us we could cancel it whenever we wanted. Later, my husband and I had to leave town for work and stopped going; when we went back to ask to cancel it, they refused. They’ve already charged my husband twice.     The woman at the Virginia Beach location doesn’t care about anything involving what is going on with my body. She rushes me in and out every single time I go. I leave in more pain than I walked in with. And I got a second opinion the day after her adjustment from Doctor Joe at the greenbrier location and he said I was tilted. My spine was misaligned. One leg was longer than the other. And because of how out of whack I was my muscles are compensating. She is rude. And short. It literally feels like she could care less that she is there. No passion for her job. I will not be returning to that location ever again. Dr. Farrell is absolutely amazing and now I’m just never going back there because I can’t risk having her.     First time ever going to a chiropractor. Staff is super friendly. I saw Dr. Joe. He was very kind and explained everything that he was doing. He told me what was wrong with my back and neck and how it could’ve happened. Gave me things to do at home when I am sore to help other than just take medicine for it. Signed my fiancé and myself up for the Wellness Plan. We will be going back weekly. I can’t wait for my next session. Make sure you go hydrated and relaxed. You will be a little sore afterwards but that’s completely normal. Might even take my 9 year old with me next time and let her get an adjustment.

    My 18 year old came to The Joint last year for three months of adjustments. The desk person scrolled through their company contract at the desk summarizing to her ( her first adulting biz arrangement ) what the terms were and she signed... Once she was done with her adjustments the withdrawls continued for a further 5 months until her Father discovered the leak in the bank account. She called to ask for a refund of the months not utilized but was told they would only restore January. What a horrendous biz model for a health care clinic. I guess they don’t adhere to the do no harm approach but rather the fleece the lambs, wolves in sheep’s clothing P.O.V. Caveat Emptor - Let the buyer beware

    Last summer I started coming here for back problems, this review however has nothing to do with the service itself, but the payment. I went a few times and then stopped going, yet they continued to charge me. It's been almost 6 months now since I stopped going and they kept charging me every month. I called and asked to cancel this payment, they only refunded me for January. Apparently the contract states that not using the service does not go hand in hand with the payment, however - while signing up - the man scrolled through the contract giving me a summary of the sections and had me sign at the bottom. This feels dishonest. I asked for a refund for the months I hadn't stepped foot in the building and was denied. The call trying to negotiate ended with "You're always a member of the joint, come back anytime" laughable. I will not be returning.

    This is why I appreciate chiropractors so much because pain pills were not doing anything for me when it came to my joints being locked or misaligned. I was in the emergency room twice because of this unbearable pain! From my experience, pain pills and injections did not help! Sacroiliac joint dysfunction pain is real and is brutal. I took the risk and came because I could not stand the pain anymore. The pain felt like I was being stabbed and something pinched. The chiropractor was able to find what was happening and turns out my joint was locked. Everything the chiropractor said was exactly what I was feeling and explained how the pain builds up over time. This has to be the worst pain I've ever dealt with and I do not wish anyone to go through this. Thank you all again.

    I just pulled up to get an adjustment at 1:50 in the afternoon And the door is locked. Their lunch break is from 2 to 2:45, I was unaware that 2 PM meant at 1:50 The door would be locked. My husband went two weeks ago as a non-client to sign up for the plan and at 1:45 they denied seeing him. I was confused by this as I knew their lunch break was 2 PM, Until I just walked up and experienced the same thing for myself today. Now I’m also on my lunch break and cannot be seen today when it is a necessity and with tomorrow being Thanksgiving I’m now not gonna be seen until the weekend or possibly Monday. Dr Joe is phenomenal but the hours are ridiculous. There’s usually two doctors on staff. Why do you need to close the entire office for lunch?

    Visited to get chiropractic care done, the receptionist was out sick and only one doctor was at the location doing both front desk and seeing patients. Solid work ethic to make sure thing were running smoothly as the only person. Give props to him for sure. Sadly they didn't get to see me today but looking forward to getting adjusted hopefully a different day. -1 star since there seems to be no planning for a secondary receptionist in the event the only one they have calls out. Besides that still looking forward to giving them a shot!

I scheduled a first time appointment for 29$ I came into the office 10 minutes early like the email said to do, at 9:52 a.m. An employee came from the back as I was drinking water from the dispenser they have at the front. employee seemed startled and started laughing to himself and said "I just walked up in there" "and I knew they weren't open" "and he was an employee and he was supposed to be in there early but not me" and then I showed him the email that said be here 10 minutes before your appointment. And he said show that to the guy when he comes up front. Screw that I'm not being received like that as a customer if you don't want people in there early don't ask them to be. Lock the doors. I was kind and courteous the whole time seemed completely unwelcoming. lock the doors and don’t send people emails that say be there 10 minutes early so they can check in. I have to work and I wanted to beat the line if there was one. Have a nice day.

    Walked in at 6:30 PM and was told that they are no longer accepting patients for the evening. I’ve been a customer of the joint for over 10 years and I’ve been to countless locations and I’ve never seen one shut down early. The receptionist then locked the door right behind me with patients inside. If they wanted to close at 6:30 they should just put a sign up that says closed at 6:30… Otherwise I wouldn’t have wasted my time going there.

    If I can't find a solid chiropractor, then I'll get a membership here. The best part of joint chiropractor is that anyone can come in as a walk-in instead of waiting for an appointment. I desperately needed an adjustment after suffering so much pain from my tailbone being out of place and I could not wait any longer for an appointment. The chiropractor knew right away from just touching the back. It is so terrible when we do not know we are out of alignment and pain pills can only do so much. I don't think pain pills can push bones back together and neither does physical therapy for those that say, "see a real doctor".

    I some how managed to slip my lower back out, I felt a slight pop and almost immediately there was so much tightness and sharp pain coming my back that just trying to walk was literally taking my breath away. I had tears well up in my eyes, I could hardly stand up straight! They took care of me & right away he said he could feel the inflammation on my lower left side of my back, it was terrible, I was in so much pain. He made 6 or 7 adjustments & I cannot express enough how much that made a world of a difference! And today, after some rest and Tylenol, the very next day I’m back walking, lifting, & back to being fully functional as if nothing ever happened!     Dr Joe is my favorite doctor and I'd follow him around wherever he goes. That being said, Please start a local Facebook page/email list so we can see when he's in the office and when someone is filling in for him. I'm particular about who adjusts me and I don't want a surprise when I expect that Dr joe will be there and he isn't. I live 23 minutes away. I can't double check online ahead of time, and so I have to call and wait through a very long automatic robotic message to get someone on the phone that can tell me.

    I don't know what kind of scam this place is. There is no way that the person adjusting on Saturdays is an actual doctor. I have never had such a trash experience. He seemed unsure of what he was seeing on my neck X-rays. I do not know what kind of "adjustment" I was given. He was repeatedly telling me to lie face down, then sit in the chair, then lie face down, then sit on the adjustment table, seriously back and forth like five times. So freaking weird. Never adjusted me face up. He did these little taps and pushes, I never felt any actual movement, I felt no relief at all. At the end of this nothing adjustment, I told him I felt exactly the same - level 10 pain on the left side of my neck with limited movement - nothing had changed. He said to apply ice. I have never been more confused. He then offered a more "aggressive" adjustment if that's what I felt my body needed. Why would I trust you to do that at this point? I am so angry for wasting my time and money.

    Greatly disappointed as I attempted a visit for my mom as she was dealing with sciatic pain. I had called prior and had explained that I was calling ahead to make sure my mom could be seen and that there would not be any obstacles to prevent being seen. I finally got my mother to the point she could get to the car and arrive at the location. To my surprise there was only one person working and I was notified that new patients were required to fill out paperwork, but they did not have anyone that could process the needed paperwork. The Joint offers no appt needed, how do you not have someone to get services. Mind you their lunch break is 2pm to 2 45 and we were not there during their lunch break. Not sure how this business expects to continue to do business. I have not done a negative review but this experience should not be shared. I needed to make sure people that are trying to get help and are tempted with a no appt requirement to look elsewhere.

    I have been to the Joint Chiropractor a few times now. And I have to say that Dr. Joe at the Chesapeake/Greenbrier location is my favorite chiropractor. I’ve also been to the one on Va Beach Blvd location next to Wegmans. But Dr Joe is at the Chesapeake/Greenbrier location. He explained my back issue and gave me exercises/therapy to do at home.

    Dr. Owen is the best! As new clients, me and my husband have been seeing him for about a month now and we already see a drastic improvement in our back pain, joint pain, and overall range of motion. On our first visit at The Joint, Dr. Owen worked to really listen to our concerns and get to know how our lifestyle/daily routine impacted our bodies. What we love the most about Dr. Owen is that he has teddy bear hands and although they are gentle he ALWAYS gets all of the cracks and pops out of us! He targets our problem areas very thoroughly and we always feel instant relief after seeing him. He is very skilled at what he does and always makes the stride to educate his clients about chiropractic care. Overall the staff here are very nice and the clinic is clean.     Dr Morgan Joe- the best chiropractor I have ever been to. And I have been to quite a few. It might sound ridiculous, but it was a life altering visit. My back and hips feel amazing.     I've been a member here for 3 or 4 months now. It's a quick process, you come in scan your barcode into the system and then the doc is in the back waiting for you. They'll ask you what's bothering you or if you're in for body maintenance, either way you'll definitely get your monies worth. While the doc is at work on correcting your body, it's okay to share stories, stories about your day, how work was, pretty friendly atmosphere, the doc's do share stories as well. The mind blowing thing is it only takes about a minute, most times less. A quick walk in get adjusted and you're walking out before you know it. Feeling anew and revived. I highly recommend to my friends and family when they're into complaining about back issues and I've heard no complaints.

    I came across this chiropractic beginning of march not knowing anything and never in my life have seen a chiropractor.     It was a great and relieving experience. The dr. Jared cracked my lower back, upper back, neck and joints. And I feel like a new man. The monthly fee isn’t bad at all either, very inexpensive. Will go back again!!

    The Joint just opened in Greenbrier and I couldn’t be more excited! The facility is very nice and conveniently located. Dr. Jared performed my adjustment and I immediately felt better. Everyone was super nice, and I was in and out quickly. The hours are also convenient to be able to visit after work. Highly recommend checking them out if you need chiropractic care!

    Wonderful experience. I went in on their first day open and the staff was awesome and already knowledgeable and ready to go. The chiropractor was super nice. He listened to everything and asked many questions before starting on any adjustments. Will be going regularly!!
