    Id recommend a stranger in a gas station parking lot for better service. They consistently close before their stated time, never pick up the phone, and make it impossible to cancel their subscription.     I had my first ever adjustment in December at The Joint in Newport News. I didn’t like it, it was painful, but I did feel relief afterwards for about 48 hours. Joel recommended that I come back 4 times a week. The girl at the counter said I didn’t have to do that, but I could sign up for the plan of 4 adjustments a month at $75 a month. At the time after hearing I needed to come back 4 times a week, that sounded good. After the relief wore off and I thought about how it hurt I decided chiropractic care isn’t for me. Less than a month later I call and was told that I needed to come to the location and cancel. The woman pulled up my contract on the phone. I said I would be in over the weekend and we disconnected. I’m leaving the location now and after they me that I cannot cancel it’s a 3 month min commitment and it’s in the contract I signed. This now should have been communicated to me twice. The woman at the counter just now was so nice nasty. Automatically treating me like I was being a difficult customer and all I said was that the monthly minimum should’ve been communicated. Even asking me if I wanted an adjustment after I said I wasn’t happy. Unprofessional. Ultimately I know I signed a contract, I don’t feel like this is a trustworthy company. I’m sure you can find better chiropractors elsewhere.

    Joel is incredible thank you to the team for being available and for one of the better adjustments we’ve ever had. I’ve been a patient of Chiropractic for over a decade and he was able to take care of me with relative ease after over a week of not being adjusted sleeping in three different hotels and over 15 hours of travel time on the road driving. I’ve been told by previous chiropractors. I’m not a very easy patient with super fast reflexes, but I walked out of there feeling way better.

    The last time I went to a chiropractor, he didn't really listen to what I was asking for help with. But for my first visit, she really sat there and listened to all that I had to say.     The adjustment was quick and effective! Dr. Victoria listened to my concerns and had a very welcoming conversation with me before starting the adjustment. I do want to say the front desk Laura is why the review lost a star. She didn’t stand or greet me as I entered she had a headphone in and was on her phone the entire time of check in and wasn’t in uniform. Other patients were asking if they can go back she didn’t even look up to answer them. I don’t know if this location has a sign or the TV is suppose to be on in the lobby but that wasn’t presented either. Other than this front desk interaction I had a great adjustment at this location.

    This is my first time visiting a chiropractor. I was scared by all the videos I had seen, and the cracking sound just made me more nervous. But after my husband and my daughters kept telling me to see one due to neck pain, I could barely move my neck, and the pain kept me awake at night, I just gave in. It was worth it!     First Id like to say Dr. Vogel was amazing. I went in with hip pain and havent had any since. He was quick and efficient and even recommended how I can continue care for myself by doing specific exercises in the gym. He made me feel safe and comfortable. However, Hello, I am very frustrated with the lack of transparency that went on at this clinic. At my first appointment we talked about payment plans and I decided my next visit I would do the wellness plan. I was told that it was a 4 week plan that was only 69 dollars because I was military. 4 weeks is what I was recommended by my chiropractor so I said that sounded great. Today I went in for my appointment and the woman at the desk told me we could do all the payment work afterwards. After my appointment I go to the desk to pay for the plan and she informs me that it has a 2 month minimum. In no conversation I had before this was I informed that there would be a 2 month minimum. The only reason I wanted to do the plan was because I was going to have my 4 appointments and then leave for college. She said I can freeze for 3 months but at that point I will still be in college, not on a break, where I would not be able to do the 4 appointments I would be forced to pay for. Its truly ridiculous and feels like a huge money scheme. Why advertise 69 dollars when you really mean 140. It's not fair to people like me who dont have the option to come back for appointments.

    Typically a great experience at the three different establishments that I visit. However, today I had a lady who wasn’t very strong, who couldn’t get my back to pop, never had this happen with anyone else. She also could not pop my neck. She attempted from a different angle than I have experienced before and it was pretty painful. After she tried a few times, she finally stopped. I had to find Motrin to deal with the neck pain the the headache that came as a result - also never had this happen before. She seemed pretty in experienced, but she was also on the elderly side.

    This place is a ripe off. My husband and I haven't been there since November 2023. Our card declined and they kept trying, fine. But after it declined the next month they still tried until they got money even tho we stopped going. Then in March of 2024 the got their money again and still kept trying to run our card 5 more times in March. They did the same on my husbands account but actually managed to charge him 2 times for March of 2024. No one at their corporate office will return calls and no one at the office we went to will help and all they will tell me is "it's above my pay grade" ... Beware!! Huge scam!!!

    I started with joint chiropractic back in November /December of 2023 after the first couple of visits I felt amazing but got a diagnose of scoliosis and spondylosis and was afraid to have my adjustment because I didn’t know what my imaging look like at the time but once I was able to see a specialist about it, I came back to joint chiropractic and was welcomed with open arms like I never left. Would definitely recommend this place to any and everybody 10 out of 10. Love the service and staff here at Newport News location and the late hours and weekend options.

She is amazing - I've gone to other branches for convenience sake and have always regretted not traveling the extra few minutes to see Dr. Beth in NN.     Most amazing place ever! I was an agony couldn’t walk because my back hurt so much. I went to physical therapy and received no relief. After 6 months of constant pain I went in as a last resort. This is absolutely no exaggeration, I was pain-free after five visits. I was completely out of an alignment. I can’t express my gratitude to Dr. Beth and the staff for giving me a new pain-free existence. It is cheaper than my copay at the doctor (Tricare Select) and I can go whenever I want without an appointment. Great military discounts too. Thank you!

    Dr Skorupa did a fantastic job rehabbing my lower back some years ago. I have an upper back issue currently, due to me, as before, pushing beyond reasonable physical limits. I searched for her specifically to help fix it. After just 2 visits I already feel that she'll be able to fix this problem too. Knowledgeable and intuitive, she was working things out within minutes of me hitting the table. I feel comfortable and relaxed in her hands. Certainly appreciate her work.

    I love coming to The Joint! I initally came for severe back pain that was rather debilitating. Doing daily tasks was near impossible as simply standing caused me to cry from the pain. After 3 weeks, I feel as good as new. Dr. Denise Karpowicz is amazing. I come in and she is quick, efficient, and super friendly. The staff at this location is fantastic.     If I could give 0 stars I would. Collins at the front desk is the sweetest and most helpful, however, the lady Chiropractor at the Newport News location is incredibly defensive and won’t let you barely speak. I tried to explain I was in excruciating pain so I couldn’t be adjusted as normal. She continued to adjust me when I was laying face down, then when she asked me to sit up, I told her what a previous chiropractor did for me when I’ve had this issue and she said “I did everything I could” when she did not even try what I asked her to. I was in the middle of talking and she interrupted me and said, “let’s head to the front” meaning she was trying to end the appointment and rush me out. DO NOT GO HERE.

    8MAR23- I came for my walk-in and there was a wait but Ashley (works at the front desk) went above and beyond to not only make sure I was taken care of but others as well. she catered to us offering water to everyone and the whole time I sat here waiting she went beyond for the facility than I’ve ever seen anyone do. she was constantly cleaning/ working, running to make sure the phones were answered, and she kept busy and I love to see it. she made all of our long waits bearable and Dr. Beth helped relive my back as well as relieve pressure and stress. 10/10

    I went have been going to The joint Chiropractic for a little over 6 months now. I originally went to Suffolk, Va and thats when I first met Dr. Denise Karpowicz. The first time I had a session with her. I knew that I wanted to keep having sessions with her. But, I recently moved to Newport News so driving all the way to Suffolk was very out of the way. So, I started going to the Newport News Joint Chiropractic. I was very pleased to see that Dr. Denise Karpowicz recently got moved over to Newport News. She is a great Chiropractor and is very good at what she does. I plan on trying to see her every time I go from now on!

    Doing so much better. Dr. Beth and Dr. Karpowicz are my favorite location. Dr. Beth set me right on my first visit and I felt so mobile. I was suffering from one of my constant migraines when I stopped in the second time. I told Dr. Karpowicz about it and the first adjustment she made gave me Instant relief. Second time I saw her with a throbbed temple and fixed me with ease. Honestly so amazed, she always seems to know what 'pain in the neck is causing whatever head pain in having.So I absolutely love the joint.I did hesitant to start a plan because of the disappointing lack in rollover policy but I finally bit the bullet and I must say, the Newport News location made it worth my while.

    I REALLY appreciated being able to just walk in & not have an appt because I was in serious pain. I was afraid I had a pinched nerve in my neck but was relieved to find out it was most likely from sleeping wrong. My chiropractor was very nice, answered all my questions & was very informative. When I was finished, I wasn’t 100% better, which the doctor said might happen, but at least I could turn my head & not be in excruciating pain. I think the plans they offer are fairly priced & do-able. I know the existing patients that I saw come & go while I waited to be seen left w/ smiles on their faces & that says ALOT. If my finances allow, I’ll definitely go back for more adjustments.
