He attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County (2006), where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics with a minor in Biology. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Bridgeport Chiropractic College, in Connecticut (2013) before moving back to the DMV area. He is passionate about sports, and loves to help patients learn the importance of regular exercise, in addition to routine chiropractic care.

As hobbies, Dr Sylla loves to play basketball and soccer. As a former high school athlete Dr Sylla experienced first-hand the importance of alternative care after suffering froma severe ankle injury that needed weeks to months of rehabilitation. This is where his passion for chiropractic began. Dr Sylla loves to help patients achieve their health goals by having them actively involved in their phase of care. Dr. Peter Rohan is a NoVa native who was born and raised in Manassas, VA. He completed his undergrad courses at Ave Maria University in Naples, FL, where he graduated in 2017. Afterwards he pursued his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Daytona Beach where he graduated in 2020. After he graduated, he worked in Boca Raton FL, Naples FL, Rocky Mount VA, and Centreville VA. He officially joined The Joint family in April of 2024.

Dr. Peter states that the best thing about the chiropractic field is giving patients a choice for spinal pain and neurological conditions that doesn't involve drugs or surgery. He likes to spend his free time playing the guitar, fishing, and golfing, and spending time with his wife Deirdre and their two sons together. Dr. Peter fridge staple is habanero, he says that he must have it to put it on everything. “If I could have four people at a dinner party I would choose Abraham Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth, JFK, and Lee Harvey Oswald”

When asked about one of the coolest things he’s ever done he stated “The coolest thing I believe I’ve done is go on a Mission trip to Calcutta, India. It was cool because it showed me a completely different world other than the one, I am inundated with in America.”

Dr. Wegayeu Gizaw was born and raised in the Southern part of Ethiopia (Sidama) on a coffee farm that his family owned. He moved to the United States in 2005 right after graduating from high school and attended Luzerne County Community College, where he received an Associates Degree in Surgical Technology. Dr. Gizaw continued in the medical field, studying Biochemistry at Misericordia University in 2011.

Upon receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Gizaw taught Anatomy and Physiology at Lackawanna College in Scranton Pennsylvania, then moved to Virginia to become Clinic Director at The Joint Chiropractic in Stafford.

Dr. Gizaw states that the best thing about being a chiropractor is the ability to see the effects of an adjustment on his patients’ quality of life, and making a difference in patients’ health and wellness goals.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer and cruising around on his motorcycle.

Christopher Giunta, DC, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, is a dedicated chiropractor currently practicing in Bristow, Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies at James Madison University in 2021, earning a degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science with additional study in Human Biology.

Dr. Giunta went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic at the University of Western States in 2024, gaining diverse clinical experience in Portland, OR; Gainesville, FL; and Haymarket, VA before beginning practice in September 2025.

His professional focus centers on helping individuals achieve better health and overall wellness through holistic, non-surgical, functional, and patient-centered care. He credits much of his clinical philosophy to the foundational work and teachings of D.D. Palmer, B.J. Palmer, Stuart McGill, and Ronald Lefebvre, whom he considers the four major pioneers shaping his understanding of chiropractic and spinal biomechanics.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Giunta enjoys playing ice hockey, lifting weights, and both watching and playing a wide variety of sports. He values time spent with friends and family and enjoys caring for his pit bull, Roscoe. He often jokes that his favorite food is eggs, thanks to their versatility and nutrient density.

A personal highlight for Dr. Giunta was playing in a hockey tournament at the historic Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY, the very rink where the 1980 U.S. Olympic team famously defeated the Soviet Union in the “Miracle on Ice.” The experience left a lasting impression on him, symbolizing the power of teamwork, resilience, and believing in oneself.
