Dr. Mark brings his 35 years of chiropractic experience to the Joint Chiropractic! He has been in private practice since graduation here in Lakewood Washington, where he specialized in babies, children, and adults!

Dr. Mark’s calm demeanor, makes the patients experience one of trust and support. When not treating his patients, he and his wife Mary enjoy their large family of six, not counting there pug Gatsby!

Dr. Rae grew up in Madison, WI and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. He has been practicing in northern New Mexico until his move to Federal Way, WA to become a part of The Joint Chiropractic. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two young homeschooled boys, traveling and resting in nature. Dr. Rae believes that each person has the right to find a sense of truth and healing in their lives and is grateful to be able to be of service to those looking for an elevated way of living.

Dr. Nicholas Manzanares graduated with Cum Laude honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Florida campus) in 2021. During his time in the chiropractic program, he was a member within the active rehab club where he presented numerous topics discussing orthopedics, biomechanics, exercises, and injury prevention concepts to other chiropractic students. Also, during his time in the program, he was selected as a clinical rehabilitation assistant in the clinics rehabilitation & sports performance department to aid other students and patients with functional movement screenings and therapeutic exercises.

Prior to chiropractic college he attended University of West Florida where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health, Leisure, & Exercise Science.

Dr. Manzanares is from the beautiful beaches of Destin, Florida where he was raised and developed his overall charm and southern hospitality.

He met his wife Angela while attending Chiropractic college. The couple felt they had a higher calling from God to serve the Washington community with chiropractic care.

Dr. Manzanares is well versed in implementing chiropractic care uniquely tailored to meet the needs of each individual patient. This unique blend of treatment utilizes chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue mobilizations and therapeutic exercises. Dr. Manzanares has attended multiple seminars and extra-curricular events to obtain the most up-to-date treatment protocols to alleviate patients’ symptoms and transitioning into wellness care.

He has continued this passion for education by participating in a post-doctoral online residency program to become board certified as a chiropractic orthopedist through the International Academy of Neuromuscular Medicine. When he is not in the office, you can find Dr. Manzanares participating in CrossFit workouts, hiking with his wife, playing with their three dogs, and exploring other local spots in the Washington community.

Dr. Betsy was born and raised in a small town in the center of the island of Puerto Rico, Barranquitas. Therefore, her native language is Spanish.

Dr. Betsy graduated in April 2022 from Northwestern Health Science University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she received her Doctorate in Chiropractic. During her time as a student at Northwestern Health Science University, she was the Public Relations Representative of the Student American Chiropractic Association of the NWHSU chapter in 2021.

She has had the opportunity to work with a very diverse patient population ranging in age, ethnicity, social background, and health conditions. Dr. Betsy is passionate about infant, women, and perinatal care. She received her Perinatal plus Webster Certification from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, aka ICPA, and remained an active member of this organization. Dr. Betsy has training in pregnancy, prenatal care, postpartum care & rehab, and advanced spinal pediatric assessment.

In her free time, Dr. Betsy enjoys exercising, hiking, reading, cooking healthy recipes, traveling, and going on adventurous walks with her French bulldog, Luna.
