Dr. Patrick McVeigh has been a part of The Joint Chiropractic team since 2014. He started at Renton Landing and is now at our Renton South clinic, but can occasionally be found in our other clinics as well. He is originally from Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York and attended Life Chiropractic College of Chiropractic in Georgia before moving to Washington.
While in school, he was very involved with a group called Spinal Missions and traveled to El Salvador every 6 months to serve the people and provide care to their developing communities. He says this experience and becoming a chiropractor are two things he is most proud of.
Outside of work, Dr. McVeigh loves traveling both locally and internationally, discovering his favorite dishes at new restaurants, and hiking and camping. He loves the beauty and variety in the landscape of the Pacific Northwest saying, “there’s everything from rainforests to mountain ranges to desert.”
A fun fact about Dr. McVeigh is that he can make lobsters stand on their heads! If you’re curious, he has a picture to prove it.
Dr. Smith graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa in 2001. After graduating, he worked in Scottsbluff, Nebraska for 2 years before moving to Washington. He had his own private practice for 16 years before joining The Joint Chiropractic team in April 2018 as the Clinic Director of the Renton Landing clinic.
He knew he wanted to be a chiropractor at a young age. He had his first adjustment when he was 9 years old, and when the doctor explained how it worked, it just made sense to him. His favorite part of his job is getting to help people every day. Each patient is unique and he enjoys helping them in their challenges.
Dr. Smith grew up on a ranch in Flagstaff, AZ and can fix anything. He refers to himself as a “backyard mechanic,” and outside of work keeps himself busy with one of his many projects. He also loves to cook, and had he not discovered his passion for chiropractic care so early, he would probably be a chef!
When asked what he is most proud of, Dr. Smith says, “raising four kids who grew into successful individuals who are motivated and determined to succeed.”
A couple fun facts about Dr. Smith is that he usually has Johnny Cash on the radio when he gets to choose and his favorite candy is jelly beans.
