I can’t say enough good things about The Joint Chiropractic offices. Everyone is welcoming and kind, and you never feel rushed. The chiropractors are knowledgeable, attentive, and really focused on helping you feel your best - no matter which of the 41 states you happen to be in! Wherever you may be, your treatment records will also be there (as I found out during a recent trip to MN). Dr Pierce and Dr Oakley are both excellent. I am once again on the road to recovery, thanks to these healers! The app is a cool bit of tech, but as a patient of several doctors over the last 30+ years, I'd like to see some x-ray or ultrasound...some sort of cutting edge diagnostics tools to aid in the process. I think this would not only serve in honing in on trouble areas, but may also detail a patient's progress over several sessions. All in all, an outstanding team, and I would recommend this office to everyone who needs care!

Was absolutely not a fan of how The Joint runs their business. You don't get a private room, you walk around the front desk and it's a big open room with several tables to adjust people. The "doctor" that I was paired with (they aren't medical doctors, they are chiropractic doctors) was not friendly at all. It felt incredibly rushed, and my adjustment didn't make me feel better at all. I had already signed up for their membership, and of course they don't tell you that you have to pay for two months before you can cancel. Not only that, but you'd think if you were signing up for the membership, that your first visit would be part of that. Nope. I was charged $129 total. So that's $75 for the monthly membership, plus $29 for the first visit, plus a $25 fee. Then I noticed that on my punch card, they DID count that visit towards my membership. So then why was I charged the $29 first visit fee? That's for people who haven't signed up for a membership. Then every week I got a phone call from them demanding to know when I was coming in, because my "doctor" recommended I do this and that. First of all, that person is not my doctor, and second of all, I will come in when I have time. That's the whole point of not having appointments scheduled. When I went in to cancel, the front desk staff was not friendly, and looked at me bewildered when I asked for a receipt. "You want a receipt for cancelling??" Umm yes, I want proof that I cancelled so you can't keep charging me. Just overall not a good experience. I've been to many chiropractors over the years, and I'll never do another office that operates like this. Just check the reddit forum for The Joint, and you'll see how many people are talking nationwide about how awful their practices are.

5 months I left a pretty horrible review about the quality of Drs and the scheduling by management. I am happy to come back to redo my review into something much better. I have been to approximately 30 joint chiropractor around the country for work and I can happily say that my home one in tumwater wa is in the top 5 now. Both doctors Oakley and Peirce are amazing and have different techniques. If one does not work for you try the other. I rotate between both depending on my needs and for the past 3 months they have surpassed my expectations and I leave with over 95% satisfaction every time now. I wanted to make this known if you sign up for A package deal they will charge you every month. There’s no calling in to cancel. You have to go in in person to cancel. If you are a busy person like me it’s kinda hard to make it in anywhere, especially if it is out of your way. This will be the third month. Both doctors are great. You can’t cancel over the phone. You have to come in and sign a paper that you are canceling, yet they continue to charge me a monthly membership. They were able to fix the issue promptly but I couldn’t imagine if I didn’t notice how long it would have gone on.

The chiropractors at the Tumwater location are generally really great about listening to what your body needs as an individual. It has been frustrating to find the online hours are not accurate. I’m hoping this is something that can be fixed in the future since other locations appear to have their break updated online. Most visits I do feel better walking away but all visits I feel better by the following day. There has been a couple times where I walked out in more pain than how I entered. Overall, I feel the membership is completely worth the cost and is of great value.

I was able to get a reservation very quickly for shoulder and neck pain that I was experiencing. The front desk staff was kind. Although I had a reservation, I still waited about 20 minutes… I showed the doctor an X-ray of my neck that was taken a few months back by a neurologist for my constant headaches. Even though I’m getting care for my headaches I still am not completely better and my neck and shoulder blade was painful. The adjustment went by very quickly. I felt minimal changes. The next day I was in mild pain, which I figured is normal while muscles readjust to being in their “proper place.” Two days after I was in EXCRUCIATING pain. It wasn’t muscular soreness… for a week my neck, shoulder blade, and left arm felt like it was full of fire ants. Then my pointer and thumb finger became numb. I realized this was nerve pain. I couldn’t even lift a cup of water to drink. To make things worse, it’s my dominant hand and every time I went to reach out and grab something I would be yelping in pain. Sitting hurt. Standing hurt. Only lying down didn’t hurt, but I have a job that I can’t lie down at. I originally e-mailed them, but there was no response for more than a week. I reside in a different country and had an adjustment during a trip home, so it's not like they can do anything for my situation anyway. After the first week, it started to feel better. I could lift things again, and the pain became more of a shooting pain than a constant burning one. But after two weeks, I hit a wall in my recovery. I decided to see an orthopedist. He took one look at my x-ray, and combined with my symptoms, diagnosed me with a herniated disc in my neck that was exacerbated by the chiro adjustment. Now I have to go to physio and take more meds for my nerve pain. I wish I hadn’t gone in for an adjustment. I was better off at the lower level of pain I was originally in, and it probably would have healed faster.

Highly recommend. I had not been to a chiropractor in over 10 yrs. I want to tell you all a short story. 8 years ago I was ran over by Horse, and a week ago experienced sever vertigo. Love the casual clinic style of this chiropractic office. Very friendly and helpful front staff and doctors. The chiropractic care I would give a 5 however they keep closing their doors when they are supposed to be open.I've driven across town 25 minutes one way just to get there with the note on the door saying that they were closed due to family emergency. That has happened to me twice now. I know better and I at least call first before I waste almost an hour in the car there and back. But they were closed twice this week when I really really needed an adjustment so that's why the four star rating. They have been closed 3 times when they were supposed to be open and I went to get adjusted. Call before you go!

*update 5/13/2024 they are now open 6 days a week. Seems like they got 2 doctors that are commuting to the area. I got adjusted by Dr. Aaron today. Very nice fellow. I was also given 3 visits per family member to make up for the closers. I really used to enjoy going here. It's been pretty horrible ever since Dr. Mark left. The hours are not consistent, the doctors are not consistent, and you are rushed when you are on the table. Dr. Marissa seemed like a promising replacement but is now gone, too. I miss Dr. Mark. He was really great. Getting adjusted should not hurt or be a rushed process. My "care" as of late has been to wait 30 minutes (or longer), if they have a new patient (then expect to wait upwards of an hour or more), and 3 minutes tops for an "adjustment". I pre-paid for my family of 4 for the next 6 months. The office either has adjusted hours or is closed. I have a use it or lose it plan, so my alloted adjustments don't roll over, and I'm out the money for not only myself but my family. The Lacey branch is now closed permanently as well. Overall, I am not impressed and would not recommend this establishment for your care.

I love the wellness plan here. The doctor is quick and the adjustments are effective. I am beyond grateful that I took advantage of their stellar deal. $29 for your first consultation and adjustment. I have had a lifetime of chiropractic care and unfortunately my budget and my insurance have prevented me from getting the care that I need. I came in today feeling like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. I left feeling as if my energy had been opened up and I wasn't depleted anymore. I could turn my head and it didn't hurt. They offer a monthly plan that is more than affordable. Dr. Mark, listened to me and he identified exactly what was going on inside my spine. This is a walk-in chiropractic care or make an appointment. They have offices all over the country. If you travel, you don't have to be without care. The pricing is unbelievable. I live in Shelton and believe it's worth the short drive to Tumwater to have myself on a maintenance plan for chiropractic. I'm worth it! If you're feeling funky in your body and you're looking for a way to have chiropractic care then it's worth it to give The Joint a call.

For the last 2 years my back was progressively getting worse going from a dull ache to being painful after only being on my feet for 2 hrs! I am on my feet for 8 hrs at a time! I would go home in pain everynight even using pain relievers and patches nothing was working! I had spasms so bad that finally decided to go to emergency room where they recommended a chiropractor i had remembered an ad on Facebook for The Joint Chiropractor. I went straight there and he started to get me adjusted! After only 1 treatment I was able to survive for 6 hrs until my back started to just bother me with the dull ache I will continue until I can go a full shift without any issues! Update: February 2026. Dr T is new and understands arthritic necks. He is gentle and listens and explains things well. I recommend. January 2026: Dr Manazanara does an excellent job of listening and adjusting. Also Dr Stephanie does an excellent job of listening and adjusting. Check the app before you come in to make sure you get a Dr who listens? 12-19-2025 Came into joint tumwater only to have the receptionist/owner? continue to upsell - no, that is too nice of a word. A used car salesman would have raised their eyebrows after informing her that I have heard the sales pitch about paying $225 to get ten visits many times before. She kept going there. $225 in addition to my monthly $79 at Christmas time is not a good deal in any universe. I mentioned that it was Christmas. Push. Push push -she then informed me that the "special" was available until January 16. I drive to Federal way to get my adjustments. If you see on the app that Dr. Will is there...Go! He is the most intuitive and gifted healer at Joint ------- Tumwater joint would do well to remember the people walking through their doors are patients that are in pain, not customers to hustle. ........... I really liked Dr Oakley. However, Dr Pierce is another matter. Rough treatment and stabbing pains that resulted in electric shocks around my ribcage. The last time he adjusted me, I asked him to adjust my hip. He said" I don't think your hip needs anything". Medical gaslighting is the worst. There is more to this story that I simply don't have the strength to go into. They have an app now so you can tell which dr is in. July 3 and 5 2024: I met with Dr Aaron who listened with empathy and adjusted my neck with the activator. I woke up feeling better than I have in a long time. It seems the office hours have stabilized. Update:I have mot received any messages a out office hours. Only promos on their packagesSo I rejoined under the Tumwater clinic account. This will help me get news of any closures for holidays etc. Im hopeful the situation has turned around. __________________________ 2023 and early 2024 Communication about their constantly changing office hours is non-existent. I almost fainted on the sidewalk outside Laceys office after a 2 hour dental visit. And this week their phone robot said they would be in Tumwater, but it was closed. The chiropractors have done a great job. and the biz concept is good. However, they must not be treating their staff well. Turnover for both staff and Doctors is dizzying, I've lost track of the doctors that have come and gone within the last year. For the last two weeks, I have tried to tell the staff at Tumwater how important it is to communicate with me. I am a patient, not a customer. Headaches, asthma and hip injury are what bring me there. The only thing staff can say is that they have no control over the "powers that be" and make no attempt to get me on a text message system because I started in Lacey. I took a picture of their schedule, guess what? They are no longer open on Saturdays. I tried writing a colorful note with painters tape (so they could post it anywhere, without damage) asking them to please contact me when their schedule changed. Dr. TJ almost threw it away right in front of me. I had put painters tape on the note so they could post it as a reminder. Dr. Tj started folding the tape so that it would be unusable. Joint chiropractor owner wants me to email them. Great... How? There is no email, or fax number listed. Management may text or email me to start a conversation if they wish.

The joint is amazing! All staff was very friendly and welcoming. Extremely helpful. My visit went quick, yet still informative. All my needs were met. I’ve always been a little skeptical, however after not being able to move my shoulder, and neck for days I left and within a few hours gained back a full range of motion. They set me up with a wellness plan, and I didn’t feel pressured to do so. Very affordable. I am the worst at keeping appointments, so this place could not be more perfect. I absolutely love the business model of The Joint Chiropractic chain. I love the hours of operation and the flexibility of a weekend day to stop in, as long as it's before/after 2PM-2:45PM. My partner and I have had a great experience so far, Jessica is an absolute sweetheart!! And Dr. B and Dr. Hartock have been so attentive to our aches and pains. We had originally walked in for an appointment due to a tension headache and I haven’t had a headache since!! Great service and definitely would recommend to anyone who’s interested in chiro. Also, the plan we signed up is more affordable than our insurance copay which is amazing!!

This was by far my best experience at "The Joint"!! We recently moved from Texas and Dr. Mark outshined everyone that had ever adjusted us there! I have already recommended three people and will continue! Keep up the good work! Also, the sweet woman at the desk was amazing (I was there around 12pm on 1/12/23)!! First time visiting The Joint Chiropractic I was impressed by their no-nonsense approach. The front staff was friendly and helpful, explaining their various services and how they charge for them. After filling out a few forms I was able to see Dr Mark right then. He was friendly, professional and got right to the point. He quickly found and fixed the problem in my back. Then he discussed program options that might work best for me. At no time did I feel pressured or up-sold. Overall it was a very good experience and my back feels great! I can definitely recommend The Joint Chiropractic.

Very nice & friendly people, but a very rushed appointment. You literally get adjusted in less than 1 minute & that can be very unsafe. My migraines got worse while I was going there. Now that I've left, they've gotten better. I'd rather pay more for better quality adjustments.

I started chiropractic care here a month ago, and I am just amazed by the difference in how I feel. In October I started noticing some hip and back pain, and a friend suggested chiropractic care. I found The Joint on a whim while looking for someone who could see me the next day. It was confirmed that yes, my hip was not aligned well. Dr. Mark went over treatment with me, and explained everything in detail. Dr. Mark is just such a nice guy, and this has become something I actively look forward to in my week. I’m feeling better, I’m sleeping better and I’m no longer waking up with back pain in the mornings. The fact I can just walk in when it’s convenient for me, and the adjustments can be fit into my daily quickly is a huge bonus!

The people are wonderful. The dr is good. The paperwork on the little tablet you are handed is horrible. It made me so frustrated. It takes way to long and logs you out constantly.
