The Joint Corp. has announced the opening of its 17th location. The newest location of The Joint…. The Chiropractic Place is located at 2628 Telegraph Ave.

The Joint….the Chiropractic Place is a leading Chiropractic health and wellness center specializing in affordable, convenient and accessible Chiropractic care. There are no appointments, no x-rays, no start up fees and the cost of most adjustments are about $20.

The concept was founded by Dr. Fred Gerretzen or Dr. Fred whose vision for The Joint is to transform the traditional concept of chiropractic care into a simple and affordable reality. The Joint creates a new philosophy of chiropractic care where clients can utilize chiropractic treatment as an integral part of their health and wellness program. This is achieved by offering affordable chiropractic care along with ongoing patient education.

The newest location of The Joint is located at 2628 Telegraph Ave. This historical site was once one of Berkeley's most notorious brothel - the Golden Gypsy. This location is owned and operated by Dr. Laurent Colvin. Dr. Colvin is a native San Franciscan who attended San Francisco City College and San Francisco State University. Dr. Colvin graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward. He is accredited by the Spine Corporation and is a distinguished Fellow of Chiropractic Biomechanics of Posture. Dr. Colvin realized early on in his career the limits of the appointment system and typical fee schedule. He knew there had to be a better and simpler way to provide chiropractic health and wellness benefits to anyone at anytime. Dr. Colvin heard of The Joint concept he knew this was the future of Chiropractic medicine.

Dr. Colvin is celebrating his Grand Opening the week of October 4 - 8, 2010 with FREE adjustments all week. In addition, Dr. Colvin will be showcasing the work of noted San Francisco artist, Frank Pietronegro in his new clinic.
