The Joint to donate 50% of proceeds from their Grand Opening to local YWCA's Inaugural Facebook Financial Literacy Campaign for victims of domestic violence.

October is domestic violence awareness month, and The YWCA in Glendale is teaming up with a neighboring business, The Joint…the chiropractic place, to give victims of domestic violence a chance to break the cycle. On October 1st, the YWCA Glendale will kick off its first ever Facebook Financial Literacy campaign (a campaign aimed at raising $5k to purchase educational resources to implement the program) at the Grand Opening of The Joint, located at 350 N Glendale Ave in Glendale, California. The Joint, a chiropractic franchise, will donate 50% of all proceeds made between the hours of 10am-7pm on Oct 1st, to the campaign. "We are honored to assist in the onset of this endeavor with the YWCA for the benefit of all those who are victims of domestic violence." States owner Adam Campos.
"Research shows that domestic violence survivors are more likely to leave abusive relationships if they are financially independent," says Lisa Raggio, Senior Director of Community Services, Development and Communication for the YWCA in Glendale. "In addition, often domestic violence survivors suffer from economic abuse as well. Programs focused on educating women on financial literacy positively influence domestic violence survivors, leading them to an independent life free from violence."
The Grand Opening of The Joint and launch of the Facebook Financial Literacy Campaign will be held at 350 N Glendale Ave, Unit A, Glendale, CA 91206, from 10am-7pm with a celebration including refreshments, entertainment and complimentary adjustments from 3pm -7pm.
